Abstract

Quantitative research can be interpreted as a method used to research a certain population or sample, sampling techniques are generally carried out randomly, data collection uses research instruments, therefore the method used in this research is to obtain data from certain natural (not artificial) places, but researchers carry out treatments in collecting data, by distributing questionnaires, structured interviews and so on. Based on the results of research with 35 respondents' answers to questions, and researchers obtained results using descriptive quantitative analysis, to determine the percentage trends of the indicators being measured. So the research results obtained are as follows; 1). Tolerance and pluralism on the UKIM campus is reflected in the acceptance of various religious and cultural backgrounds, both among students and teaching staff. The research results found that the achievement of tolerance and pluralism was quite high, with 23 respondents or 66% agreeing with tolerance and pluralism in UKIM, while 12 respondents or 34% felt that the implementation of these values was not fully optimal. 2). University Inclusivity, shows that as many as 23 respondents or 66% feel that inclusivity at UKIM, as a Basudara People's Campus, has played a role in strengthening the campus' image as a Basudara campus that is open and accepting of differences, while 12 respondents or 34% feel that there is room for improvement in creating a more inclusive campus community in the future. 3). UKIM's image, as a campus that supports education without discrimination, has succeeded in strengthening its branding as a Basudara People's Campus, where everyone is treated equally and respected regardless of differences. The research results found that 28 respondents or 79% supported education without discrimination at UKIM, and were considered successful in fostering and encouraging a conducive academic atmosphere among the campus community, including the teaching and learning process, campus facilities and extracurricular activities. 4). As a campus that has the brand "Kampus Orang Basudara" and is better known for its pluralism, UKIM has utilized the richness of local and national culture as part of its branding strategy for the Orang Basudara Campus, and 7 respondents or 21% stated that it needed to improve anti-discrimination equality policies. The research results found that 27 respondents or 77% stated that cultural diversity was an important part of UKIM's identity. This shows that the values of the Basudara people, which emphasize togetherness in diversity, have been implemented well in campus life, and as many as 8 respondents or 23% felt that aspects of cultural diversity were not fully optimal. And UKIM has succeeded in building a reputation as a campus that promotes the values of togetherness, difference and equality which are in line with the concept of "Basudara People".

Abstract

Penelitian kuantitatif dapat diartikan sebagai metode yang berlandaskan pada filsafat positivisme, digunakan untuk meneliti pada populasi atau sampel tertentu, teknik pengambilan sampel pada umumnya dilakukan secara random, pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen penelitian, analisis data bersifat kuantitatif/statistik dengan tujuan untuk menguji hipotesis yang telah ditetapkan. Yang termasuk dalam metode kuantitatif adalah metode eksperimen dan survey, oleh sebab itu metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey untuk mendapatkan data dari tempat tertentu yang alamiah (bukan buatan), tetapi peneliti melakukan perlakuan dalam pengumpulan data, misalnya dengan mengedarkan kuesioner, test, wawancara terstruktur dan sebagainya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diatas dengan 30 jawaban responden dan 27 indikator atau pernyataan, peneliti mendapatkan hasil dengan menggunakan beberapa pengujian diantaranya uji validitas untuk mengoreksi dan mengetahui apakah dari masing-masing pernyataan yang ada pada kuisioner dengan jumlah dari setiap variabel dari hasil uji tersebut diketahui bahwa hasil perhitungan valid. Kemudian peneliti melanjutkan dengan uji reliabilitas, uji t (parsial), uji f (simultan), dimana hasil uji tersebut maka kuisioner ini dikatakan sangat baik dan konsisten. untuk mengetahui variabel independen secara bersama-sama berpengaruh signifikan terhadap variabel dependen dengan demikian dari kedua uji data tersebut hipotesis diterima artinya Radio UKIM FM memberikan pengaruh terhadap minat pendengar di Kota Ambon. Berikutnya peneliti menggunakan uji regresi linear sederhana dan uji koefisien determinasi untuk menghitung besarnya pengaruh variabel independen terhadap variabel dependen sehingga dapat ditunjukan bahwa presentase pengaruh Radio UKIM FM terhadap minat pendengar di Kota Ambon sebesar 43,3% sedangkan selebihnya yaitu 56,7% dipengaruhi oleh indikator lain. Variabel Y yaitu minat pendengar di Kota Ambon dengan indikator yakni informasi berita, kesehatan, hiburan, dan pengetahuan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap variabel X sehingga hasil hipotesis diterima.

Abstract

The Impact of Public Communication Ethics on the Positive Image of the Maluku Provincial Government. This research uses quantitative methods, with data collection using field observations, questionnaires/questions. The purpose of this study was to determine the Impact of Public Communication Ethics on the Image of the Maluku Provincial Government. Through a purposive sampling technique, it was found that a sample of 42 respondents was spread across Nusaniwe and Sirimau Districts. The results of this study obtained communication ethics as measured through indicators of messages conveyed, messages received, messages rejected, as well as the attitude, character and nature of the recipient of the message, showing a significant influence. Based on the coefficient of determination test, it shows that 40.1% of the influence of public communication ethics has on the positive image of the Maluku Provincial government, while the remaining 59.9% is influenced by indicators and or other variables. Variable Y, namely the positive image of the Maluku provincial government with indicators namely ideas, beliefs, impressions and objects, is influenced by variable X, so that the result, the hypothesis is accepted.
