Abstract

The development of Islamic religious education is very important for the elderly, because at an age that is no longer young, the elderly experience a lot of decline in their health both physically and mentally which causes their souls to shake. This situation can only be handled through the development of Islamic religious education. However, the elderly need spiritual guidance so that their old age becomes more meaningful. The development of Islamic religious education is also very much needed by the elderly to improve the quality of worship in the face of death, because by carrying out daily worship the elderly will increasingly remember Allah SWT.

Abstract

Abstrak Generasi sekarang permasalahan yang ada lebih banyak mengalami kesulitan emosional daripada generasi sebelumnya: lebih kesepian dan pemurung, lebih brangasan dan kurang menghargai sopan santun, lebih gugup dan mudah cemas, lebih impulsif dan agresif. Emosional yang dimunculkan dalam suatu tindakan sangat mempengaruhi kehidupan manusia ketika dalam mengambil suatu keputusan. Hal ini tentu tidak jarang suatu keputusan yang diambil hanya dari sudut emosional tanpa ada kolaborasi dengan akal rasional yang pada akhirnya menghasilkan keputusan yang terkesan kurang bijak. Oleh karena itu, dalam hal ini penulis mencoba melihat sisi terdalam dari konsep kecerdasan emosional yang ditawarkan oleh Daniel Goleman, sehingga setelah memahami konsep yang ditawarkan oleh Daniel Goleman pembaca akan dapat mengelola perasaan yang dimiliki sehingga dapat mengekspresikan secara tepat dan efektif dalam kehidupannya. Persoalan yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah Bagaimana struktur konseptual dari kecerdasan emosional yang diperkenalkan oleh Daniel Goleman? Bagaimana kritik konseptual dari kecerdasan emosional yang digagas oleh Daniel Goleman? Penelitian ini termasuk pada bibliotika research atau libarary research. Data diperoleh dari tulisan-tulisan yang mengungkapkan mengenai konsep yang digagas oleh Daniel Goleman tentang kecerdasan emosional. Kemudian data dianalisis dengan menggunakan pendekatan content analysis. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pada dasarnya konsep kecerdasan emosional sudah ada sebelum Daniel Goleman mempublikasikan konsep kecerdasan emosionalnya. Daniel Goleman memberikan definisi bahwa kecerdasan kmosional merupakan kemampuan untuk mengenali perasaan diri sendiri maupun orang lain, kemampuan untuk memotivasi diri sendiri, serta kemampuan mengelola emosi baik pada diri sendiri maupun dalam hubungan dengan orang lain. Konsep Goleman memiliki titik fokus pada penerapan kecerdasan emosional yang dapat difungsikan dalam kehidupan, seperti lingkup keluarga, kesehatan, pendidikan, serta karier. Selain itu, konsep Goleman ini tidak terlepas dari kritik yang menyertainya, kritik pertama fokus pada anggapan yang berlebihan berlebihan bahwa nilai-nilai di sekolah tidak berpengaruh pada kesuksesan hidup seseorang di kemudian hari, sehingga upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan skolastik anak diabaikan. Kritik kedua, tidak adanya model pengukuran kecerdasan emosional oleh Daniel Goleman. Kata kunci : Daniel Goleman, kecerdasan emosional

Abstract

Hijab is an obligation commanded by Allah which is clearly explained in the Qur'an. Judging from the use of the Hijab as the purpose of covering the genitals will affect the religious behavior of women. The obligation to wear the hijab for Muslim women should be improved and it is necessary to deepen the true meaning of the hijab for Muslim women in its implementation in everyday life. Muslim women should pay more attention to, improve and exemplify the use of the hijab based on noble behavior and morals. In this way, the hijab does not only speak of law but also relates to individual piety. Therefore, guidance, direction, examples and knowledge are needed for women so that they can implement the obligation to wear the hijab properly and consistently in its use, so that good morals and behavior will follow automatically.

Abstract

Bullying among school-aged children is a global issue that threatens the mental health, safety, and social development of students. This phenomenon also occurs in Islamic educational institutions such as Islamic boarding schools, including Al Ma’ruf Islamic Boarding School in Kediri City, which ideally should be a safe space for character and spirituality building for students. This study aims to examine the individual and school environmental factors that influence the effectiveness of teachers’ strategies in preventing and handling bullying, as well as to explore how anti-bullying education is integrated into learning activities and communal life in Islamic boarding schools. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were obtained through non-participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Research informants included madrasah leaders, teachers who were members of the violence prevention team, and students who had experienced bullying. The results showed that bullying in Islamic boarding schools mostly took the form of verbal abuse, such as teasing or insults, while physical acts were relatively rare. However, the emotional impact remained and had the potential to create a cycle of bullying if not handled properly. The Islamic boarding school implemented humane resolution measures, such as mediation, personal dialogue, emotional approaches, and character building through the example set by the ustadz. Efforts to integrate anti-bullying values were carried out through learning, orientation activities, moral training, and teacher training. The research findings emphasize the importance of collaboration among all stakeholders to create a safe, inclusive, and violence-free pesantren environment. This study contributes to the development of a character education model that is responsive to the issue of bullying in Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

The Love-Based Curriculum is a transformative educational paradigm that centers on instilling values of compassion, empathy, and spirituality throughout the learning process. Rooted in holistic education, this approach seeks not only to develop cognitive abilities but also to foster emotional intelligence and moral integrity. This article explores the practical implementation of a Love-Based Curriculum in the context of Arabic language instruction within madrasas—Islamic educational institutions that inherently balance religious and academic learning.Employing a descriptive qualitative methodology, this study synthesizes insights from recent scholarly literature, policy documents, and educational best practices published over the last five years. The analysis focuses on the strategies teachers use to internalize love-centered principles within their Arabic language teaching. These strategies include the integration of spiritually rich texts, the use of narrative and dialogical pedagogies, and the cultivation of a learning atmosphere characterized by mutual respect and emotional safety. In many cases, Arabic texts are selected or adapted to contain themes of compassion, justice, and humility—reinforcing both linguistic understanding and ethical awareness.The findings reveal that implementing Love-Based principles in Arabic language learning results in several pedagogical benefits. First, students exhibit heightened intrinsic motivation and sustained interest in the subject matter. Second, classroom interactions become more inclusive and empathetic, shifting the teacher-student relationship toward a more nurturing and dialogic model. Lastly, students demonstrate significant development in character-related domains such as cooperation, patience, and ethical decision-making.This study underscores the relevance of moral-emotional frameworks like the Love-Based Curriculum in shaping meaningful and humanistic learning experiences. By integrating values into linguistic instruction, educators can foster not only language proficiency but also nurture compassionate and reflective learners equipped to navigate both academic and social dimensions of life.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the optimization of micro-learning strategies within the Hadramiyyah Halaqah tradition at the Darullughah Wadda’wah Islamic Boarding School (Dalwa). Amidst a dense formal curriculum and the declining concentration spans characteristic of Generation Z, Dalwa consistently maintains short-duration learning sessions (20–25 minutes) conducted entirely in introductory Arabic. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The analysis was conducted through the theoretical lenses of Cognitive Load Theory and the concept of spaced repetition. The findings reveal that the brief yet consistent session duration successfully mitigates cognitive overload and enhances students' long-term retention of classical religious texts (kitab kuning). The absolute use of Arabic functions as a focus catalyst, fostering an immersive learning ecosystem. Furthermore, the point-centric teaching methodology and the intentional limitation of dialectical interaction prove effective in efficiently transferring complex subject matter. This study concludes that the halaqah model at Dalwa represents a form of traditional pedagogical innovation that holds significant relevance for the educational efficiency demands of the 21st century. Theoretically, this research contributes to the development of Islamic boarding school curriculum management frameworks that balance traditional resilience with the exigencies of modernity.
