Abstract

This study aims to explore the attitudes and knowledge possessed by an academician in making an article in accordance to the ethical code of scientific research. There were 116 participants involved in this study. The research method was carried out through two stages, the first stage is test descriptive statistics psychological description of the attitude and knowledge of subjects about the use of Turnitin and citation techniques and the second stage is conducting exploration using an open questionnaire. The results showed: the subject frequency was still very low in using this media;  there was a linear correlation between the low intensity of use and the attitude they have in the writing process; and the use of Turnitin media and the citation techniques was important.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the behavior of children and adolescents with disabilities in accessing pornography at the SLB Negeri 1 Panjatan Dormitory, Kulon Progo. Children and adolescents with disabilities face challenges in cognitive development, including understanding sexual issues, which is further exacerbated by heightened curiosity during puberty. This research employs a mixed-method approach, combining quantitative methods through questionnaires and qualitative methods through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results show that 69% of respondents exhibit moderate levels of behavior in accessing pornography, which aligns with previous literature on the vulnerability of cognitively impaired children to inappropriate content. The study also reveals no significant difference between males and females in this behavior, contrasting with findings in the general population where males tend to be more dominant. The primary reason for accessing pornography is curiosity, compounded by limited access to appropriate reproductive health education. Furthermore, peers play a crucial role in providing information about accessing pornography, with 69% of respondents stating they received such information from their friends. These findings highlight the need for interventions through proper sex education, social environment supervision, and controlled access to technology to mitigate the negative impacts of pornography exposure on children and adolescents with disabilities. Keywords: pornography access behavior, children and adolescents with disabilities, sex education, peer influence, cognitive limitations.   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi perilaku anak dan remaja penyandang disabilitas dalam mengakses pornografi di Asrama SLB Negeri 1 Panjatan, Kulon Progo. Anak-anak dan remaja penyandang disabilitas menghadapi tantangan dalam perkembangan kognitif, termasuk dalam memahami isu-isu seksual, yang diperparah dengan rasa ingin tahu yang tinggi selama masa pubertas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode campuran (mix methods), dengan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui kuesioner dan pendekatan kualitatif melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 69% responden berada pada kategori sedang dalam perilaku mengakses pornografi, yang sejalan dengan literatur sebelumnya tentang kerentanan anak-anak dengan keterbatasan kognitif terhadap konten yang tidak pantas. Penelitian ini juga mengungkap bahwa tidak ada perbedaan signifikan antara laki-laki dan perempuan dalam perilaku ini, berbeda dengan temuan di populasi umum yang menunjukkan kecenderungan laki-laki lebih dominan. Alasan utama mengakses pornografi adalah rasa penasaran, yang diperkuat oleh kurangnya akses terhadap pendidikan kesehatan reproduksi yang sesuai. Selain itu, teman sebaya menjadi faktor utama dalam memberikan informasi mengenai akses pornografi, dengan 69% responden mengaku mendapatkannya dari teman. Temuan ini menekankan perlunya intervensi melalui pendidikan seks yang tepat, pengawasan lingkungan sosial, serta kontrol terhadap akses teknologi untuk mengurangi dampak negatif dari paparan konten pornografi pada anak dan remaja penyandang disabilitas. Kata kunci: perilaku mengakses pornografi, anak dan remaja penyandang disabilitas, pendidikan seks, teman sebaya, keterbatasan kognitif.

Abstract

Screening instruments for mental disorders is useful for society in identifying the possibility of mental disorders in themselves or others. Screening instruments are tools used to examine early symptoms of mental disorders, early detection, intervention for mental disorders, as well as research. The Self-Reported Questionnaire-20 (SRQ-20) is an instrument for screening mental disorders through individual assessment. This study aims to determine the quality of SRQ-20 instrument using Rasch model analysis techniques with the assistance of Jamovi software version 2.3.18.0. The participants in this study were individuals aged 12 – 44 years. The number of participants was 165. The instrument used was SRQ-20 with a total of 20 items. The results of the study showed that all 20 items met the item-model fit. The reliability coefficient value was 0.823. Overall, SRQ-20 has good psychometric properties.

Abstract

Self-compassion is a trait that helps people to withstand stressful situations. Self-compassion helps people to maintain self-regulation, to interpret the positive side of the problems, and to avoid ego depletion. The purpose of this research is to examine the indirect effect of self-compassion to ego depletion with forgiveness as a mediating variable. Forgiveness selected as a mediating variable because of its ability to play a role as a coping strategy and reduce ego depletion tendency. The researcher believes that the impact of self-compassion to ego depletion increasing if forgiveness included as a mediating variable. This research used a regression technique analysis. Data were collected on 200 students by purposive sampling technique using a self-compassion scale, ego depletion scale, and forgiveness scale. The result shows that the impact of self-compassion to ego depletion decreased without forgiveness as a mediating variable. The researcher concluded that forgiveness was effective as a mediating variable to self-compassion and ego depletion.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine differences in the perception of social support among adolescents who are orphanage and non-orphanage. The subject for this study are teenagers age 15-18 years old, 52 of them are living in a foster home while the other 54 are not. Methods of data collection using a Likert attitude scale models. The scale based on the aspects of social support according to Cohen & Syme (1985), which are appraisal support, status support, information support, instrumentational support, companionship support, and motivational support. We hypotheses that there are differences of perception toward social support between teenagers living in foster home and those who are not. The perceived social support scale contains 31-item (α = .871). Methods of data analysis using independent sample t-test. Based on the results of the study found that there were no differences in the perception of social support amongadolescents who lived in the orphanage with teenagers who do not live in an orphanage. Based on the results obtained by the value of t = .589, p> .05. Thusconcluded that there was no difference in the perception of social support among adolescents who are orphanage and non-orphanage.

Abstract

Literasi kesehatan mental memiliki dampak pada kesehatan mental dengan meningkatkan pemahaman individu terhadap gangguan mental, sementara koping religius diakui sebagai faktor penting untuk memelihara kesehatan mental. Penelitian ini fokus pada peran prediktif literasi kesehatan mental dan koping religius terhadap status kesehatan mental pada remaja di Indonesia. Terdapat 3 (tiga) skala, yaitu: Skala Koping Religius, Skala Literasi Kesehatan Mental, dan Skala Status Kesehatan Mental. Penelitian ini melibatkan 829 partisipan dengan analisis regresi menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan (R= .126, F=6.709, p=.001). Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang dilakukan, diketahui literasi kesehatan mental dan koping relijius secara signifikan mempengaruhi status kesehatan mental. Koping relijius memiliki pengaruh yang lebih besar daripada literasi kesehatan mental terhadap status kesehatan mental, diketahui dari komputasi sumbangan efektifnya.
