Abstract

ABSTRACTCharacterization of Lignite Biosolubilization Products by Indigenous Moulds from Soil ofCoal Mining in South Sumatera. Biosolubilization of coal is a potential technology of convertingsolid coal to liquid fuel and chemicals at ambient condition. Our previous research hassuccessfully isolated four moulds from soil at coal mining - South Sumatera and has potency aslignite biosolubilization agent, i.e. T1, T2, T4, T5. The objective of this research was to characterizeof lignite biosolubilization products by four isolates. The method used was sub-mergedculture. Cultivation medium was MSS+ (minimal salt + sucrose 0,1% + yeast extract 0,01% +lignite 5 %). Incubation was conducted at room temperature for 28 days. The result showed thatall indigenos moulds have different ability in lignite biosolubilization. The highestbiosolubilization occurred after 7 days of incubation belonging to T1 isolate. However, GC-MSanalysis showed the largest percentage of hydrocarbon compound which equivalent to gasolineand diesel was T5 after 7 days of incubation.Key words: Biosolubilization, lignite, moulds, coal.

Abstract

This research aims to describe students' problem solving abilities in solving HOTS-based questions on the compared material. The method that will be used is a qualitative descriptive method with a scientific approach. The subjects in this research were MTs Darul Ulum Budi Agung students with the sample used being 35 class VII 5 students. The data collection technique used a problem solving ability test instrument in solving HOTS-based mathematics questions on comparable material. There are three stages of data analysis techniques, namely checking the results of students' answers, presenting test data, and drawing conclusions from the research results. The results obtained in this research were the percentage of achievement of students' problem solving abilities. At the understanding the problem stage it was 67%, at the planning completion stage it was 53%, at the plan implementation stage it was 50%, and at the re-examination stage it was 43%. This shows that students' mathematical problem solving abilities in solving HOTS-based questions are in the medium category.

Abstract

This research aimed to improve the concentration and engagement of fourth-grade students in mathematics learning by utilizing the Wordwall application as an interactive learning medium at SDN 064/VII Sukasari II Sarolangun. The study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach, conducted in two cycles, from October to December 2024. The results from Cycle 1 showed an increase in student enthusiasm and engagement, but learning mastery did not meet the success criteria. In Cycle 2, after adjustments to teaching strategies, significant improvements were observed. The percentage of students who achieved the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM) increased from 78.26% to 86.95%, and 90% of students actively participated in the learning process. The findings suggest that Wordwall effectively enhances student concentration, increases motivation, and creates a more interactive and enjoyable learning environment. It is recommended that teachers use Wordwall to improve student focus and engagement, particularly in mathematics education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of risk-taking and free cash flow on dividend policy. The novelty of this study lies in the quantitative analysis of the influence of risk-taking and free cash flow on dividend policy in construction and real estate companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2020 to 2023 using multiple linear regression. This study simultaneously combines internal variables and uses the most recent data, differing from previous studies that were more limited to specific sectors or used different methodologies, thus making the results more valid and relevant for strategic decision-making. This study adopts a causal quantitative approach to examine the influence of risk-taking and free cash flow on dividend policy by implementing classical assumption testing, a prerequisite for multiple linear regression analysis, including assumption testing and hypothesis testing, to ensure the stability and validity of the analytical model. Dividend policy in commercial banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2020 to 2023 was influenced by risk-taking and free cash flow simultaneously. This study is limited to companies in the construction and real estate sectors listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020–2023 period. Therefore, the research results cannot be generalized to other industrial sectors or to companies not listed on the IDX. Furthermore, only two independent variables were analyzed: risk-taking and free cash flow. Therefore, other variables that could also influence capital structure are not described in this model. This finding has implications, particularly for company management. High risk-taking can make companies more cautious in distributing dividends because increased business risks require profit retention as a capital buffer. High free cash flow provides companies with the financial capacity to pay dividends regularly and stably without disrupting working capital and investment needs. Therefore, the combination of these two factors reflects a balance between a company's cash flow capacity and risk management strategy in determining dividend policy.
