Abstract

Background: The spread of health information about breastfeeding can take advantage of smartphone technology. Utilization of the application of the Exclusive ASI Health Information System (Sik-Asiek) as a source of information about exclusive breastfeeding and breastfeeding support from peers and health workers through chat group features found in the Sik-Asiek application. Objective: Analyze the effect of the application of Sik-Asiek applications on knowledge and attitudes of exclusive breastfeeding. Methods: The study used a quasi experimental non equivalent control group design with pretest and posttest. The research respondents were third trimester pregnant women, amounting to 72 people. Knowledge and attitudes of mothers before and after the application of Sik-Asiek applications were measured using a questionnaire while the practices were measured using observation sheets after treatment. Data analysis using independent test sample t-test, Mann-Whitney test and Manova. Results: there is the effect of applying the Sik-Asiek application on mothers to knowledge (p-value 0,00), and attitudes (p-value 0,00) for exclusive breastfeeding practices. Conclusion: The application of "Sik-Asiek" can be an effective means of increasing knowledge and attitudes of exclusive breastfeeding for pregnant women.

Abstract

Abstract

Introduction: Based on the results of the 2018 Basic Health Research, it was found that only 39.1% of households implemented clean and healthy living behavior (CHLB). During the COVID-19 pandemic, students living in dormitory and at home continue their studies at the Modern Islamic Boarding School. The differences in living conditions have an impact on Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (CHLB) and infectious diseases (COVID-19). Aims:  this research is to compare CHLB and infectious diseases (COVID-19) between students living at dormitory and home. Methods: A cross-sectional design study was conducted in January-February 2023 at Madrasah Aliah Mranggen, Demak, involving 232 students aged 16-18 years. The sample size is calculated using a formula to test the difference in means between two unpaired population groups with numerical data.  Subjects were selected through systematic random sampling based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data were collected using a household CHLB questionnaire. The data were analyzed using Mann Whitney and Chi Square Test. Results: showed no differences in age, CHLB, and infectious diseases among students living at dormitory and home. There were differences in handwashing with soap and water after using the toilet (p=0.041) and handling money (p=0.014), as well as the absence of smoking by dormitory mates/family members inside the Home/dormitory (p=0.001) between the two groups. Conclusion: There were no differences in CHLB and infectious diseases (COVID-19) between students living in dormitories and at home during the COVID-19pandemic.

Abstract

Background : Reproductive health and positive mental health are crucial components of adolescent girls' overall well-being, deeply intertwined and influenced by social, economic, and environmental factors. Adolescent girls face unique challenges in managing both reproductive and mental health, impacted by societal pressures, limited access to health education, and disparities in healthcare. There is a growing recognition of the importance of studying these interconnected areas to support adolescent girls' overall well-being and development. Objective : The objective of this study is to analyze and map the trends, themes, and patterns in literature related to reproductive health and positive mental health among female adolescents, using bibliometric methods to identify key areas of focus, research gaps, and influential studies published between 2020 and 2024 Research Method :This bibliometric analysis followed a simplified PRISMA approach involving identification, screening, and inclusion stages. Using Publish or Perish, a search on reproductive health and positive mental health in adolescent girls (2020-2024) initially identified 1,015 articles. After abstract and title screening, 856 articles were included. Data analysis with VOSviewer allowed for the visualization of bibliometric networks, highlighting key themes, citation patterns, and coauthorship relationships in the literature.rch Methods/ Implementation Methods : Results : The analysis revealed that reproductive health education, resilience, and mental well-being are central themes in research on female adolescents, with stress, self-esteem, and social relationships significantly influencing health behaviors. The COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated challenges in accessing services, while telehealth and digital solutions emerged as promising interventions. Persistent inequalities in access, driven by socioeconomic and geographic factors, were also identified. Conclusion/Lesson Learned : This study emphasizes the importance of integrated approaches to reproductive and mental health, providing a basis for future research and policy development to support adolescent girls' well-being.
