Abstract

This paper emphasizes the analysis of Indonesia's geopolitical perspective through international cooperation that is part of Indonesia's geopolitics in the Indo-Pacific region. The results of this paper explain that Indonesia's geopolitical interests cannot be separated from the importance of building mutual trust, as well as regional development through international cooperation for global interests. In other words, regional development through international cooperation will increase regional stability so as to encourage various economic, political and security activities that not only reduce political friction, but also provide strategic advantages for every actor who has an interest in the Indo-Pacific. Abstract

This study identifies the factors that prevent women in Indonesia from achieving elected office in the provincial level in Indonesia. The results showed that lack of access to financial resources, internal party politics, and women's marital status can be barriers to women achieving elected office. However, access to social and political networks that provide women with key resources, belonging to the dominant religion in your region, and age lead women to greater political success. These findings are based on the interpretation of statistical correlations and content analysis results from in-depth interviews and focus group discussions. The aim of this research is to provide evidence-based findings and recommendations, which can be used to increase the electability of women political candidates in elections.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan melalui kegiatan English on Holiday (EOH) dilaksanakan guna meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris siswa dan siswi yang bernaung di bawah Yayasan Al-Kamilah Depok. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan Bahasa Inggris siswa yang selama ini dirasa kurang memadai dengan durasi pelajaran terbatas. Melalui metode pembelajaran jigsaw, siswa belajar dalam kelompok untuk menguasai dan mengajarkan bagian teks tertentu kepada siswa lainnya. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pada bulan Juli 2024 melibatkan 25 siswa SMP dan SMA/SMK. Mereka dibagi dalam kelompok untuk memahami teks tentang negara bagian Amerika Serikat dan saling berbagi informasi dalam kelompok baru. Hasilnya, metode jigsaw mendapat respon positif dan dianggap efektif dalam membantu siswa memahami teks Bahasa Inggris, mengidentifikasi ide utama, serta meningkatkan kepercayaan diri dan kemampuan komunikasi. Namun, beberapa siswa merasa kurang terbantu dalam aspek berbicara. Secara keseluruhan, 76% peserta mendukung penggunaan metode jigsaw, meskipun perlu perhatian lebih pada siswi untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan diri dan kemampuan berbicara mereka.
