Abstract

Cahaya Ganda Gindi is a nickel company engaged in nickel mining. PT. Cahaya Ganda Gindi's nickel ore mining is currently in the operational stage with topsoil stripping and overburden excavation activities, laterite nickel mining, and laterite nickel transportation. There are community activities around the mining site so the environmental conditions need to be maintained and maintained so that the activities of residents in the area are not disturbed. Topsoil stripping and overburden excavation activities, as well as laterite nickel mining activities have an impact on decreasing the quality of surface water and seawater quality. This decrease in water quality is due to increased surface water flow/erosion from the mine front. The implementation of this seawater quality test is carried out by taking seawater samples at several points and then conducting laboratory tests to determine the quality of the seawater in the hope that the community will know the quality of the seawater around them so that mitigation steps can be determined if pollution exceeds the specified quality standards

Abstract

Pada kegiatan pemboran diperlukan kajian perencanaan dengan maksud menghindari masalah yang dapat menyebabkan target produksi tidak tercapai. Masalah yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu bagaimana cara untuk mengetahui efisiensi kerja, produktivitas dan besaran biaya pemboran pada PT. Putra Konawe Utama. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efisiensi kerja alat bor, produktivitas alat bor dan besaran biaya yang dikeluarkan pada kegiatan pemboran eksplorasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif yang mengutamakan kajian pustaka berdasarkan hasil observasi secara langsung dilapangan dan kemudian data-data yang diperoleh diolah dengan menggunakan rumus-rumus perhitungan sehingga dapat diketahui hasil efisiensi kerja, produktivitas dan besaran biaya pemboran pada alat bor yang digunakan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan presentase dari efisiensi kerja alat bor sebesar 55,46%, produktivitas alat bor sebesar 2,76 meter/jam dan besaran biaya pemboran yang digunakan meliputi: biaya penggunaan bahan bakar sebesar Rp1.277/jam, biaya oli gear sae 10 sebesar Rp1.305/jam, biaya oli mesin sae 40 sebesar Rp150 /jam biaya penggemuk atau grease sebesar Rp1.570/jam dan biaya operator sebesar Rp25.641/jam.

Abstract

PT. Diamond Alfa Propertindo is a company that produces gravel stones ranging from 0.5 cm to 3 cm in size, located in Southeast Sulawesi, with a land area of 4,905 hectares. PT. Diamond Alfa Propertindo has a production target of 25,000 tons per month, with an average production of 22,000 tons per month. The company employs open-pit mining using the Quarry method, with mining locations divided into blocks A1, A2, A3, currently in the mining phase. The extraction of limestone involves drilling and blasting activities to meet production targets, posing high risks of workplace accidents, occupational diseases, fires, explosions, landslides, and environmental pollution. These risks arise from workers' non-compliance with safety regulations, unsafe working conditions, inadequate facilities and infrastructure, or poor management, as well as unsafe environmental conditions. The implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (K3) is the responsibility of every mining employee, from the highest leadership level to field executives or operators. This is conveyed through a combination of methods such as lectures, discussions, and demonstrations. The community service activities aim to ensure that the limestone mining activities of PT. Diamond Alfa Propertindo in Buton Tengah are carried out with an understanding of the importance of occupational health and safety in creating a comfortable and safe working environment for mining workers.

Abstract

Langgikima Subdistrict is one of the subdistricts in North Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province which has nickel potential so that several mining companies have invested in this area. Nickel mining activities have had both positive and negative impacts. One of the visible impacts is the decline in river water quality. One of the rivers located in Langgikima Subdistrict which is adjacent to several nickel mining locations is the Molore River in Molore Village. Determination of the water quality status of the Molore River by conducting laboratory analysis of Molore River water samples on the parameters of Physics, Chemistry, Heavy Metals, and microbiological parameters. The purpose of this study was to determine the status of water quality. The method used in this study is a purposive sampling method by using the calculation of the water pollution index at the sampling location for three consecutive months. Determination of water quality status using the pollution index method according to the Minister of Environment Decree 115/2003. Based on the results of laboratory analysis, most of the parameters are still below the required quality standards. The calculation of the Pollution Index shows that the water quality status of the Molore River is included in the lightly polluted category with a value range of 1.71-2.71. The strategy for controlling river pollution can be conducted by reducing the pollution load, namely by cooperation between the community and mining companies in managing the river environment and it is necessary to carry out good management of the sediment pond at the mining site.

Abstract

Nickel mining activities play a significant role in driving regional economic development; however, they also pose considerable environmental challenges, one of which is noise pollution. This study aims to assess the ambient noise levels surrounding the nickel mining operations in Langgikima District, North Konawe Regency, and to evaluate their potential impacts on public health and environmental well-being. A field survey approach was employed, wherein noise measurements were conducted using a calibrated Sound Level Meter (SLM). Sound pressure levels in decibels A-weighted dB(A) were recorded over a ten-minute interval, with readings taken every five seconds. The data were then analyzed to determine the daytime noise level (Ls), based on four distinct measurement periods. The findings reveal that daytime noise levels in the residential area of Lameruru Village ranged around 53.3 dB(A), which remains below the residential noise threshold of 55 dB(A) as stipulated by the Indonesian Ministry of Environment Regulation No. 48/1996. Despite compliance with existing standards, these results underscore the need for enhanced noise management strategies to ensure long-term environmental quality and public health protection.

Abstract

This study analyzes slope stability using the Fellenius Method in the Parasi Block of PT Wijaya Inti Nusantara, South Konawe Regency. The objective is to determine the safety factor (SF) as well as the safe and efficient slope geometry. Data were obtained from field measurements and laboratory tests of unit weight, cohesion, and internal friction angle. Calculations were performed manually and using Slide 6.0 software. The results indicate that the SF values for both single and overall slopes exceed 1.2, indicating stability in accordance with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Decree No. 1827 K/30/MEM/2018. However, the SF values decrease when influenced by groundwater levels. These findings can serve as a reference for planning safe and efficient slope designs in the mining area of PT Wijaya Inti Nusantara.
