Abstract

Water cleanliness plays an important role as a parameter in observing the quality of water that is suitable for consumption for every human life. This is certainly reflected in the health of a healthier life, but so far it is still low in the water quality that is suitable for community use. This study presents a simple technology to design water filtration using an up-flow system (bottom to up) and finds the effectiveness of the filtration media in reducing the content of iron (Fe) and manganese (Mn) metals in groundwater. Water samples were taken from Bukit Fadiah Asri Housing, Kendari City, and tested using three variations of media composition consisting of fiber, gravel, activated charcoal, black sand, and silica which flowed from bottom to top by gravity. Based on these results indicate that type B media material consisting of gravel, palm fiber, black sand, activated charcoal, silica, and palm fiber with a media thickness of 10 cm has a very good level of effectiveness which can reduce the metal content of Fe by 75% and Mn by 66%. This simple and inexpensive filtration media can be applied to the community to neutralize groundwater turbidity and reduce Fe and Mn metal content because it is used as an adsorption medium for heavy metals in water.

Abstract

Mineral resource estimation is strongly influenced by the density of drill point data. Where, the closer of the drill point distance exhibits the high accuracy the estimation identification of nickel laterite and vice versa. Meanwhile, the sparser of the drill point distance shows the low accuracy estimation results. in where, the accuracy is expressed as a standard error or error value determination over data calculated. In this study, the estimation method was applied by using nearest neighborhood point (NNP) method for 2 variations data. First data was explored with a drill spacing of 25 m and the second data was evaluated with a drill spacing of 50 m. Based on these results via NNP method under estimation software was provided the different amount of nickel laterite resources for each type data. The drill spacing of 25 m has showed of 1,008,094 tons, while the drill spacing for 50 m has exhibited of 1,048,281 tons. The error value over drill spacing of 25 m is 0.02, while for 50 m is 0.03, respectively. These results can be concluded that the data with lower density, although it produces more nickel resources, but in terms of accuracy identification has a low-level accuracy

Abstract

PT. Diamond Alfa Propertindo is a company that produces gravel stones ranging from 0.5 cm to 3 cm in size, located in Southeast Sulawesi, with a land area of 4,905 hectares. PT. Diamond Alfa Propertindo has a production target of 25,000 tons per month, with an average production of 22,000 tons per month. The company employs open-pit mining using the Quarry method, with mining locations divided into blocks A1, A2, A3, currently in the mining phase. The extraction of limestone involves drilling and blasting activities to meet production targets, posing high risks of workplace accidents, occupational diseases, fires, explosions, landslides, and environmental pollution. These risks arise from workers' non-compliance with safety regulations, unsafe working conditions, inadequate facilities and infrastructure, or poor management, as well as unsafe environmental conditions. The implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (K3) is the responsibility of every mining employee, from the highest leadership level to field executives or operators. This is conveyed through a combination of methods such as lectures, discussions, and demonstrations. The community service activities aim to ensure that the limestone mining activities of PT. Diamond Alfa Propertindo in Buton Tengah are carried out with an understanding of the importance of occupational health and safety in creating a comfortable and safe working environment for mining workers.

Abstract

UAV drones can yield differences in volume compared to the actual volume in stockpile volume calculations when compared to measurements obtained using a Total Station. The measurement method using drone photos can streamline labor compared to Total Station utilities, with both utilizing processed data in the form of point clouds. This research aims to: (1) Determine nickel stockpile volumes using drone photos; (2) Compare volume between drone photos and Total Station. Parameters encompass flight height, drone speed, overlap, and camera angle. Stockpile volumes are calculated using methods Extended Trapezoidal Rule. Research outcomes include: (1) Determination of stockpile volumes using drones is feasible through photogrammetry with Struktur torm motiontechniques; (2) Volume accuracy using Extended Trapezoidal Rule method is 0.033% for dome 1, 0.833% for dome 2, 0.415% for dome 3, 0.298% for dome 4, 0.242% for dome 5, 0.007% for dome 6.

Abstract

Cahaya Ganda Gindi is a nickel company engaged in nickel mining. PT. Cahaya Ganda Gindi's nickel ore mining is currently in the operational stage with topsoil stripping and overburden excavation activities, laterite nickel mining, and laterite nickel transportation. There are community activities around the mining site so the environmental conditions need to be maintained and maintained so that the activities of residents in the area are not disturbed. Topsoil stripping and overburden excavation activities, as well as laterite nickel mining activities have an impact on decreasing the quality of surface water and seawater quality. This decrease in water quality is due to increased surface water flow/erosion from the mine front. The implementation of this seawater quality test is carried out by taking seawater samples at several points and then conducting laboratory tests to determine the quality of the seawater in the hope that the community will know the quality of the seawater around them so that mitigation steps can be determined if pollution exceeds the specified quality standards

Abstract

Pada kegiatan pemboran diperlukan kajian perencanaan dengan maksud menghindari masalah yang dapat menyebabkan target produksi tidak tercapai. Masalah yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu bagaimana cara untuk mengetahui efisiensi kerja, produktivitas dan besaran biaya pemboran pada PT. Putra Konawe Utama. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efisiensi kerja alat bor, produktivitas alat bor dan besaran biaya yang dikeluarkan pada kegiatan pemboran eksplorasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif yang mengutamakan kajian pustaka berdasarkan hasil observasi secara langsung dilapangan dan kemudian data-data yang diperoleh diolah dengan menggunakan rumus-rumus perhitungan sehingga dapat diketahui hasil efisiensi kerja, produktivitas dan besaran biaya pemboran pada alat bor yang digunakan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan presentase dari efisiensi kerja alat bor sebesar 55,46%, produktivitas alat bor sebesar 2,76 meter/jam dan besaran biaya pemboran yang digunakan meliputi: biaya penggunaan bahan bakar sebesar Rp1.277/jam, biaya oli gear sae 10 sebesar Rp1.305/jam, biaya oli mesin sae 40 sebesar Rp150 /jam biaya penggemuk atau grease sebesar Rp1.570/jam dan biaya operator sebesar Rp25.641/jam.

Abstract

PT. Cahaya Ganda Gindi is a nickel company engaged in lateritic nickel mining. The company's nickel ore mining activities have now entered the operational phase, including topsoil stripping, overburden removal, lateritic nickel mining, and lateritic nickel transportation. The mining area, which is located close to residential settlements, has some impact on community activities. Therefore, these impacts need to be managed to prevent disturbances to the daily activities of local residents. The production activities, which involve overburden stripping and lateritic nickel ore extraction using heavy machinery, inevitably generate high levels of noise that may affect the hearing of nearby residents. Noise level testing is conducted in the mining area, jetty, and residential areas by measuring noise levels at specific points. The collected data is then analyzed to determine whether the noise levels remain within the permissible limits. The goal is to ensure that the noise does not exceed the established threshold, allowing the community to carry out their activities normally.
