Abstract

Screening of chitinolytic bacteria from crab shells (Portunus pelagicus) was carried out. This study aims to obtain chitinolytic bacterial isolates, determine the zone of chitinase activity qualitative produced and growth pattern by chitinolytic bacteria from crab shells (Portunus pelagicus). The research method used is descriptive research method. This study consisted of 3 stages, namely screening for chitinolytic bacteria (isolation and macroscopic and microscopic identification), determination of the zone of chitinase activity qualitative and growth curve produced by chitinolytic bacteria. Chitinolytic bacterial isolates that were successfully grown, obtained the highest chitinolytic index of 1. Macroscopic and microscopic identification results showed that chitinolytic bacterial isolates were gram-negative rod-shaped bacteria. Logaritmic gowth at 2nd to tenth hours incubation.

Abstract

The incidence of cervical cancer in Indonesia in 2011 reached 100 per 100,000 population per year and the spread appears to be accumulating in Java and Bali. This figure is estimated to continue to increase by 25% in the next 10 years if preventive measures are not taken. Cervical cancer ranks second among all cancers in women with an incidence rate of 9.7 % and a death rate of 9.3% of all cancers in women in the world. Early detection of cervical cancer is an innovative breakthrough in health development to reduce mortality and morbidity due to cervical cancer. The aim is to determine the effect of health education regarding early detection of cervical ca on the motivation of women of childbearing age to undergo VIA examinations in the Antang Community Health Center working area. This type of research is research using an analytical survey method with a cross sectional study approach. With a population of 197 people and a sample size of 30 people with a sampling technique using purposive sampling. Data analysis was carried out using the Mc.Nemar Test. The results of the statistical test research on all respondents using the Mc. Nemar test obtained a p value of 0.000<p value 0.05. HO is rejected Ha is accepted, then there is an influence of Health Education regarding Early Detection of Cervical Ca on Women of Childbearing Age Carrying out IVA Examinations in the Antang Health Center Work Area.

Abstract

Social media has become an important tool for businesses to market their brands and reach a wider audience. Social media optimization is the process of improving social media strategies to achieve better results, such as faster follower growth and increased interaction with potential consumers. In this community service activity, the author discusses and conveys the importance of optimizing the use of social media for marketing and provides several tips for achieving this to MSME entrepreneurs in the Banyuasin sub-district. This community service activity was attended by 35 entrepreneurs in the culinary, accessories and fashion fields in the Banyuasin sub-district. This activity lasted 2.5 hours, starting with a presentation by each author, then presenting examples of the application of marketing on social media, and ending with a discussion session that very much aroused the enthusiasm of the participants about optimizing social media in MSME operations. Community service like this must continue to be carried out to increase public awareness that digitization can increase efficiency in business and can increase MSME sales.

Abstract

Local retailers in Banyuasin face competition from modern retail, requiring strategies to strengthen customer loyalty. This study aims to explore strategies for enhancing customer loyalty through store atmosphere, product variety, service quality, price perception, and sales promotion. This research employed a qualitative approach using SWOT analysis and a four-step framework. Data were collected through observation and interviews with local retail managers in Banyuasin. The results show that a comfortable store atmosphere, diverse product offerings, friendly and fast service, competitive pricing, and creative promotions significantly improve customer loyalty. Furthermore, external opportunities such as modern shopping trends, social media utilization, and government support also enhance loyalty strategies. The findings highlight the importance of integrating internal strategies with external opportunities. These insights provide a foundation for local retailers to develop more sustainable marketing strategies. This study concludes that customer loyalty can be strengthened through an integrated strategy that combines internal and external factors. The findings provide important implications for the development of local retail management.
