Abstract

Folklore is one type of child literature that has great benefits for its readers. One of the benefits of folklore is as a media biblioterapi for children. Bibliotherapy is a reading therapy, in which a person with problems is asked to read self-help books and motivate them to speed healing. Folklore can help to overcome problems faced by children. Folklore especially the fairy tale that has been favored by children not only provide basic education about the absorption of moral messages and characters, but more than that through fairy tales can be a means of non-formal education that can be utilized by teachers and parents in restoring trauma and meet thirsty children with other special needs.

Abstract

This research was aimed at describing the improvement of skill in writing paragraph using puzzle for students of grade III at SD Negeri Rejowinangun 1 Yogyakarta. The type of this research was  Classroom Action  Research  (CAR)  which  was  conducted  in  two  cycles.  The  result  of  this research showed that by using puzzle as the media could improve the skill in writing paragraph for students in class IIIA at SD Negeri Rejowinangun 1 Yogyakarta. The students’ mean score obtained in the pre-test was 65,08 and increased into 78,4 in the post-test of Cycle I and then become 83,16 in the post-test of Cycle II. Based on the result of the research above, it could be concluded that the use of puzzle as the media could improve third grade students’ skill in writing paragraphs at SD Negeri Rejowinangun 1 Yogyakarta.

Abstract

Berbagai bencana alam terjadi akhir-akhir ini. Berbagai pengetahuan dan upaya pendidikan mitigasi bencana perlu dipikirkan serta dijalankan. Bencana tidak dapat dicegah, akan tetapi jatuhnya korban dapat diminimalisir apabila penduduk memiliki kesiapan dini terhadap bencana alam. Upaya penanaman kesadaran bencana alam ini harus ditanamkan sejak masih anak-anak. Salah satunya dengan media lagu. Lagu sebagai salah satu alat penyampai informasi dan cetusan perasaan sangat digemari banyak orang termasuk anak-anak. Lagu dapat dijadikan media mitigasi bencana untuk anak. Lagu dapat membantu untuk memberikan pengetahuan mengenai kesiagaan bencana bagi anak.Kata kunci: lagu anak, media, mitigasi bencana

Abstract

Character education for elementary school-age children can be applied through children's literary media. Unfortunately, it is still rare to find studies on this matter. This study aims to describe the character of leadership through Tamansiswa teachings based on Ngerti, Ngrasa, Nglakoni (Tri Nga) in children's literature. This type of research is descriptive. This study took the subject of children's literature of the type of folklore originating from Yogyakarta. The object of this research is the value of leadership character through the teachings of Tri Nga in children's literature. Researchers themselves are research tools. The tools in this research are data cards. Data collection uses reading and note-taking techniques. The data analysis method uses the padan and agih. The validity of the data in this study is interrater and interrater. The results of the research on the legend of Yogyakarta, there are several character values ​​appear, namely leadership and justice, independence and responsibility, and respect and courtesy. If these three characteristics are understood in children, they will grow respect, control emotions, and be able to interact with friends and the environment around them. This research is expected to contribute to preparing future leaders with a character starting with children using digital-based literature through the teachings of Tamansiswa Ngerti, Ngrasa, Nglakoni (Tri Nga). Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan (1) unsur-unsur dalam komik apa yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media mitigasi bencana; (2) kesesuaian dan ketepatan komik anak bagi calon pembaca anak berdasarkan tahap perkembangan kognitifnya, dan (3) merumuskan pernanfaatan komik anak untuk mitigasi bencana dalam pembelajaran di SD. Objek penelitian ini adalah enam komik anak yang diterbitkan oleh yayasan IDEP untuk Penanggulangan Bencana Berbasis Masyarakat tahun 2006. Komik anak yang dikaji tersebut diambil melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data diambil dengan menggunakan teknik baca dan catat. Data dianalisis melalui pendekatan pragmatik. Hasil penelitian ditemukan unsur-unsur intrinsik komik yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media mitigasi bencana, yaitu tokoh tema, latar, alur, sudut pandang, dan amanat atau pesan. Muatan pengelolaan bencana pada komik anak terdapat dalam sebelum bencana (pencegahan dan kesiapan), selama bencana (peringatan; tanggapan darurat) dan setelah bencana (bantuan dan pemulihan bencana). Segmen pembaca komik ini adalah anak usia 9 - 12 tahun. Hal itu terlihat dari penggunaan bahasa yang digunakan lugas, jelas, dan sederhana dalam menyampaikan pesan sehingga mudah dipahami oleh anak. Perumusan pemanfaatan komik dalam pembelajaran di SD dapat diintegrasikan dengan pelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Selain itu juga dapat diintegrasikan dengan beberapa mata pelajaran tertentu, karena pembelajaran sekarang berpedoman pada kurikulum 2013 dengan pendekatan tematik integratif. This study aims to describe (t) the elements child comic book that can be used as n medium for disaster mitigation; (2) the suitability and appropriateness of the child comic book for the prospective reader of comic book based on child cognitive development stage; and (3) the formulation of child comic usability in disaster mitigation learning for elementary school. The object of this study is six child comic books published by IDEP Foundation for Community Based Disaster Mitigation in 2006. The studied child comic books are taken by purposive sampling technique. Data is taken by using rending and recording technique. Data were analyzed through a pragmatic approach. The research result shows that comic intrinsic elements that can be used as n medium for disaster mitigation, namely the character, theme, setting, plot, point of view, and the mandate or message. Disaster mitigation content in the child comic book is in the pre-disaster (prevention and preparedness), during a disaster (warning, emergency response) and after disaster (relief and disaster recovery). This comic reader segment is child aged 9-12 years. This is shown from language use, which is straight forward, clear, and simple in conveying the message; so that it is easily understood by child. The use of comics in the learning formulation in elementary school can be integrated with learning lndonesian. In addition, it can also be integrated with some specific subjects because learning is now based on the 2013 curriculum with integrated thematic approach.
