Abstract

Rimpang lengkuas sangat familiar di masyarakat, ada rimpang yang merah dan ada yang putih. Namun menurut hasil penelitian, rimpang lengkuas yang lebih efektif untuk menghambat jamur Malassezia furfur penyebab panu yaitu rimpang lengkuas merah (Alpinia purpurata K. Schum). Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk membuat formula pasta dari air perasan rimpang lengkuas merah (Alpinia purpurata K. Schum) dengan mutu fisik yang baik. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian eksperimen laboratorium yang dilakukan di Laboratorium Farmasetika Jurusan Farmasi Politeknik Sandi Karsa Makassar. Metode penelitian meliputi formulasi sediaan pasta dari rimpang lengkuas merah yang sebelumnya telah diparut dan diperas airnya. Pasta yang dihasilkan kemudian diuji secara fisik. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu sediaan salep berwarna putih sedikit kemerahan, bau khas lengkuas dengan bentuk semi padat, pasta homogen, bebas dari butiran kasar, pH sediaan yaitu pH 5, viskositas sediaan 2,447±257,7 (X±SD dpas), daya lekat 4,779±0,233 (X±SD detik), dan daya sebar 5,484±0,801 (X±SD cm). Semua pengujian yang dilakukan memenuhi syarat literatur sehingga disimpulkan bahwa air perasan rimpang lengkuas merah dapat membentuk sediaan pasta dengan mutu fisik yang baik.

Abstract

The storage of drug is one of management activities toward pharmaceutical preparation in order that the quality of the drug can be ensured and avoided by Physical damage, also chemistry based on the requirement decided. This research has aim to know how the process of drug storage at the Pacongkang public health center in Liliriaja distric Soppeng regency. This research used descriptive method by using Gutman scale. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that the drug storage at the Pacongkang public health center, which doesn’t meet with the requirements caused by the facilities and infrastructure of the drug storage with percentage 44,44%. Meanwhile, The drug storage which suitable with the requirement with percentage 70,00% so it can be inferred that the drug storage at Pacongkang public health center doesen’t meet with the requirements yet.

Abstract

Self-medication is part of "self-care" which is an effort to maintain health or prevent and overcome disease. Self-medication is usually done to treat minor illnesses, including fever and pain. The purpose of this study was to find out which class of Fever and Pain drugs were most widely used for self-medication at the Talita Pharmacy, Makassar City. This research method has used descriptive method. The results showed that the most widely used Fever and Pain drug group in January was paracetamol as much as 85.1851%, February as much as 72.27%, March as much as 0.8088%. So it can be concluded that the most widely used class of fever and pain drugs for self-medication at the Talita Pharmacy in Makassar City in January - March 2022 is the Acetaminophen (Paracetamol) group.

Abstract

Self-medication or self-medication is part of the community's efforts to treat minor ailments by using over-the-counter drugs, limited over-the-counter drugs and mandatory pharmacy drugs without consulting a doctor first. Most people self-medicate because they don't have time to go to the doctor, the distance to the puskesmas, hospital or doctor's office is far from home. So that people choose where to buy drugs at pharmacies, grocery stalls, minimarkets and drugstores. The purpose of this study was to find out where to buy drugs for self-medication in the Green Hills Moncongloe Housing Complex, Maros Regency. The method used in this research is descriptive method, namely research that includes surveys with data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires. This research was conducted at the Green Hills Moncongloe Housing Complex, Maros Regency which was carried out in February - March 2023 by distributing questionnaires to 50 respondents. From the results of the study it can be seen that of the 50 respondents, 29 people (58%) bought drugs at pharmacies, 16 people (32%) at grocery stalls, 3 people (6%) minimarkets, and finally 2 people (4%) drugstores. So it can be concluded that more people choose places to buy medicines at pharmacies because people believe that medicines sold at pharmacies can be trusted for their quality and authenticity and the public can obtain information about the drugs they buy.

Abstract

Swamedikasi adalah upaya yang paling banyak dilakukan masyarakat untuk mengatasi penyakit sebelum mencari pertolongan kepada tenaga kesehatan. Masyarakat biasanya berswamedikasi untuk penyakit-penyakit ringan yang dialami. Berbagai macam tempat pembelian obat yang biasanya digunakian oleh masyarakat yaitu apotek, warung kelontong, minimarket dan toko obat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui mengenai tempat pembelian obat untuk swamedikasi masyarakat di Perumahan Bumi Findaria Mas 1 Moncongloe Kabupaten Maros. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif yaitu penelitian yang mencakup tentang survei dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa kuisioner. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Perumahan Bumi Findaria Mas 1 Moncongloe Kabupaten Maros yang dilakukan pada Bulan September-Oktober Tahun 2023 dengan membagikan kuesioner pada 50 orang responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa responden lebih banyak membeli obat di minimarket yaitu 21 orang (42%), kemudian di apotek sebanyak 20 orang (40%), kemudian di warung sebanyak 9 orang (18%), dan tidak ada yang membeli di toko obat. Dari hasil tersebut disimpulkan bahwa sebagian masyarakat masih belum menyadari akan pentingnya informasi atau pengetahuan tentang obat sebelum obat tersebut dikonsumsi.

Abstract

Apotek merupakan salah satu sarana kesehatan masyarakat yang sangat penting di indonesia, di apotek pengobatan dalam bentuk resep yang menggunakan antibiotik. Tujuan Penelitian yaitu Evaluasi Pengguaan Antibiotik Pasien Pada Bulan Januari Sampai Mei 2024 Di Apotek N. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dan pengambilan data secara retrospektif. Teknik Pengambilan data secara manual yang setelah itu diolah dengan Microsoft office excel. Hasil penelitian terlihat bahwa obat antibiotik yang sering sekali diresepkan adalah Cefadroxil 500mg sebanyak 206 resep (51,24%), Amoxicillin 500mg sebanyak 94 resep (23,38%), Cefixime 200mg sebanyak 82 resep (20,39%), Ciprofloxacin 500 mg sebanyak 20 resep (4,97%). Jenis kelamin yang banyak menggunakan obat antibiotik adalah laki-laki sebanyak 395 resep dengan persentase (98,52%), Sedangkan Usia yang paling banyak menggunakan antibiotik adalah pada usia 17-55 tahun sebanyak 402 (100%).

Abstract

Self medication is the practice of treating oneself using over the counter medicines, limited over-the-counter drugs, or prescription medications obtained from pharmacies. This practice requires adequate knowledge to ensure safe and effective use. Self medication is becoming increasingly common due to its affordability, convenience, and easy access to pharmacies and drugstores, as well as the availability of health information through various media. This study aimed to describe self-medication practices in the community of Kasumang Hamlet, Tarramatekkeng Village, especially in terms of illnesses treated, types of medications used, sources of information, places where medicines were obtained and and they purchased medicines either for immediate use or for future stock. A descriptive research design with a cross-sectional quantitative approach was employed. This study was conducted in Dusun Kasumang, Tarramatekkeng Village, Luwu Regency, from May to June 2025. The sample size was determined using the Slovin formula, resulting in a total of 81 participants. Participants were selected using purposive sampling based on predetermined inclusion criteria. Headaches were the most common reason for self-medication (20%), followed by fever (19%). The most commonly purchased drug was Paracetamol (17%), with 53% of participants buying medication at pharmacies. The main source of information was relatives (47%), and 51% of participants were currently using medication. These findings highlight the need for increased public awareness regarding the safe use of medicines, greater access to professional pharmaceutical guidance, and strengthened regulation of prescription drug sales to reduce the risk of inappropriate self-medication and protect community health
