Abstract

Kajian mengenai kesadaran lingkungan masih jarang dilakukan, studi ini dilatar belakangi dengan permasalahan penggunaan penggunaan bahan kimia pertanian  yang sudah semakin meningkat seiring dengan peningkatan kebutuhan pangan akibat pertambahan penduduk. Sumber daya pertanian yang dimanfaatkan untuk mendapatkan produk pertanian yang tinggi, tidak bertahan lama apabila keseimbangan pemeliharaan terhadap sumberdaya dalam  pemanfaatan bahan pertanian anorganik dan organik tidak berimbang. Artinya pemanfaatan bahan anorganik pertanian yang berlebihan dalam jangka panjang dan perilaku pengolahan lahan yang tidak bijaksana akan menurunkan keberlanjutan sumberdaya lahan.  Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengestimasi  level atau derajad kesadaran petani dalam mengelola usahatani di lokasi penelitian menggunakan 19 indikator. Penelitian melibatkan 120 responden yang dipilih secara acak dari 3 desa di Kabupaten Kupang. Penetapan  kecamatan dan desa dilakukan secara sengaja dengan pertimbangan kecamatan terpadat, desa sentra produksi dan memiliki kemudahan untuk diakses  dari aspek transportasi. Hasil kajian memperlihatkan bahwa indeks  kesadaran lingkungan petani dalam pengelolaan usahatani lahan kering sebesar 1.87,  artinya indeks kesadaran lingkungan petani  tersebut tergolong kategori kurang (mendekati  skor dua). Oleh karena itu disarankan bahwa pemanfaatan input faktor untuk meningkatkan produksi pertanian perlu memperhatikan prespektif jangka panjang, dengan meningkatkan pengetahuan, pemahaman dan tindakan masyarakat petani yang sadar terhadap keberlanjutan sumberdaya alam dan  lingkungannya.

Abstract

This research carried out in Lewokeleng Village, Ile Boleng District, Regency East Flores from February to March 2023. This research aims to find out; 1) knowing the role of agricultural extension workers in increasing the productivity of tomato farming in Lewokelenh Village, Ile Boleng District, East Flores Regency, 2) knowing farmer’s perceptions of the role of agricultural extension workers in increasing the productivity of tomato farming in Lewokeleng Village, Ile Boleng District, East Flores Regency. Determination of the location is one of the central areas of horticulture. The population in this study were all tomato farmers in Lewokeleng Village, namely as many as 35 families. All were assigned as samples to determine the second objective. The data were analyzed descriptively using Likert scale. To determine the first objective, the data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results of analysis show that: 1) The role of agricultural extension workers in increasing the productivity of tomato farming in Lewokeleng Village is based on five roles, namely as a communicator, innovator, educator, facilitator, and motivator in order to improve and develop farmer’s insights to make decisions in farming activities,especially farming to matoes. 2) Farmer’s perceptions of the role of agricultural extension works in increasing the productivity of tomato farming in Lewokeleng Village, Ile Boleng District, East Flores Regency are quite satisfactory with an average score of 3,005 with a maximum percentage of achieving a score of 60.1%

Abstract

Water as a renewable natural resource, has the most fundamental and essential role in the sustainability of human life in supporting various activities, such as: agriculture, clean water for households, industry, aquaculture, tourism, mining and electric power. One use of water is for agriculture as irrigation water. Irrigation water managed by the Dua Serangkai P3A Group in the Baumata Irrigation Area is experiencing operational and maintenance (OM) obstacles due to limited water and limited OM soft skill capabilities of tertiary irrigation canals. The aim of this service is that irrigation water can be managed well through empowering P3A, improving the soft skills of tertiary irrigation canals OM, drafting a tertiary irrigation canals OM manual, agreeing on a water management system and assisting in drafting P3A AD/ART. Management of irrigation water in the Baumata Irrigation Area through P3A empowerment has experienced an increase in knowledge of soft skills for tertiary irrigation canals OM, drafting a tertiary irrigation canals OM manual, agreed on a water distribution system from upstream to downstream by: rainy season planting rice, setting regulated water distribution schedules P3A according to each block, while in the dry season horticulture/mixed planting, daily water arrangements are regulated by the clan according to the agreed schedule as well as assistance in preparing P3A AD/ART.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze the income and financial feasibility of tofu agroindustry business in CV Sumber Hidup Mata Air Village, Central Kupang Regency. The sampling technique used a non-probability sampling technique, namely by using a case study technique. The data used in this study are primary and secondary data. To determine the feasibility of the tofu agroindustry business and at CV Sumber Hidup, feasibility analysis was carried out using the R/C ratio, Break Event Point (BEP), Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate Of Return (IRR), Net B/C Ratio, Return On Investment (ROI), and Payback Period (PP). The results of this study indicate that the income of the tofu business at CV Sumber Hidup is IDR 693,837,025/ year and the CV Sumber Hidup tofu business is declared feasible with an R/C ratio value of 1.30> 1, Net Present Value (NPV) of IDR. 941,780. 947.98, - with NPV>0 criteria, Internal Rate Of Return (IRR) of 45% with IRR>DR (9%) criteria, Net B / C ratio of 1.30>1, Return On Investment (ROI) of 112% high investment return rate while Payback Period (PP) 1 year 3 months.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) determine the profile of cashew plantation businesses in Waibao Village, Tanjung Bunga District, East Flores Regency (2) determine the role of extension workers according to farmer’s perceptions in increasing cashew farming productivity through efforts to improve cultivation techniques in Waibao Village, Tanjung Bunga District, East Flores Regency. The results of the study indicate that the profile of cashew farming based on the application of cultivation techniques taught by agricultural extension workers to farmers including watering, fertilization, pest and disease control, and harvesting and post-harvest is very helpful for farmers have implemented cultivation techniques taught by extension workers and the results of the application of these cultivation techniques have an impact on cashew farming productivity. The role of extension workers as aducators in providing information, guiding and motivating farmers in increasing cashew farming productivity through efforts to improve cultivation techniques including control, and harvesting and post-harvest is in the role category with a percentage of 58,94%.
