Mangga (Mangifera indica L.) merupakan komoditas buah potensial di Jawa Barat. Meskipun produksinya cukup besar, namun Indonesia belum masuk kedalam negara pengekspor utama mangga di dunia. Salah satu varietas mangga unggulan yang banyak ditemukan di Jawa Barat adalah gedong gincu. Tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk mengetahui karakteristik usahatani mangga gedong gincu di kabupaten cirebon. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode survei, data primer dikumpulkan dari 30 petani mangga gedong yang diambil secara acak. Data sekunder diperoleh dari Dinas Pertanian Tanaman Pangan. Survei dilakukan di kecamatan Sedong, kabupaten Cirebon. Hasil analisis usahatani menunjukkan bahwa usahatani mangga gedong gincu di lokasi kajian memberikan keuntungan yang layak, hal ini dapat dilihat dari nilai R/C ratio yang mencapai 3,26. Terdapat dua periode harga pada saat panen mangga. Harga tertinggi dicapai pada bulan April – Juni dan harga terendah dicapai pada periode bulan Oktober – Desember. Tujuan petani menanam mangga secara umum (90,63 %) adalah untuk dijual. Adapun permasalahan utama yang dihadapi petani dalam pengusahaan mangga yaitu hama dan penyakit serta permodalan. Mango (Mangifera indica L.) is a potential fruit commodity in West Java. Despite its large production, Indonesia is not yet one of the world's major mango exporting countries. Gedong gincu is a superior mango variety that can be found in West Java. The goal of this research was to identify the characteristics of gedong gincu mango farming in the Cirebon district. The survey method was used in the study, Primary data was obtainerd from 30 random farmers, while secondary data was obtained from the Food Crops Agriculture Office. The survey was carried out in the Sedong district of Cirebon. According to the findings of the farming analysis, gedong gincu mango farming in the study area generates a reasonable profit, this can be seen from the value of the R/C ratio which reaches 3.26. During the mango harvest, there are two price periods. The highest price is reached between April and June, and the lowest price is reached between October and December. Farmers' primary goal in growing mangoes (90.63 percent) is to sell them. Pests and diseases, as well as capital, were the main issues for the farmers.
