Abstract

Abstract

People in Indonesia are usually consuming commercial packaged of home-made chili sauce, which is mostly produced by MSMEs. UD Dede Satoe produce chili sauce using preservation techniques with aseptic packaging. The weakness of this technique is that aseptic conditions  are  not  fully  adequate  for  preservation. Nowadays, people awareness to health and food safety are increasing. To meet market demand for packaged chili products without preservatives addition, UD DD Satoe is trying to change the process from aseptic packaging to sterilizing packaged chili sauce using retort technology. The evaluation results show that retort pouch sambal can last for 1 year without the addition of preservatives. This result was proven to be better than the preservation method of making semi-dry packaged chili sauce, because it can maintain the color, taste and texture of the chili sauce.

Abstract

MSMEs play a crucial role in Indonesia's economy, contributing to the reduction of unemployment and supporting various aspects such as exports, investment, and the formation of Gross Domestic Product (GDP). This study seeks to examine the impact of entrepreneurial competence and entrepreneurial orientation on the performance of MSMEs. The research methodology involves a literature review and empirical studies from a range of previous research journals, utilizing the Garuda Ministry of Education and Culture database to select 4090 journals, with 15 chosen as references for this research. The findings indicate that entrepreneurial competence and entrepreneurial orientation both have a significant influence on MSME performance, highlighting the importance of these variables in shaping business performance in MSMEs. Future research could explore the addition of moderator or mediating variables relevant to the current era.

Abstract

The Kawatuna area has a complex geological structure and lithological condition of metamorphic rock, which is estimated to be a weak zone for hydrothermal solutions to rise and then accumulate as mineralization of veins in the metamorphic rock. Based on this, it makes this area interesting to research. This research aims to identify metal ore minerals and the mineralization characteristics of ores in the research area. The method used is a geological survey of the surface and laboratory analysis through ore microscopic as well as mineral chemistry tests. Based on the results of the research study, it was found that in metamorphic rocks in the Kawatuna area, sulfide metal ore minerals were found including argentite (Ag2S), pyrite (FeS2), chalcopyrite (CuFeS2), sphalerite (ZnS), galena (PbS), and covelite minerals (CuS), Native elements ore minerals include gold (Au), silver (Ag), electrum (Au, Ag), and Oxide ore minerals in the form of hematite (Fe2O3). The mineralization formed is controlled by structures that produce fractures in the rock, which then produces mineralization as the veins of metamorphic rocks. The ore mineralization in the research area occurs through a hypogene process (the formation of a formation zone from primary ore minerals) and a supergene process stage (the formation of a formation or enrichment zone from secondary ore minerals).

Abstract

The socialization program on the Tanjung Api Geotrek Route was carried out to enhance the understanding, awareness, and capacity of the Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) of Labuan Village in managing geotourism potential based on local geological heritage. The Tanjung Api area in Tojo Una-Una Regency, Central Sulawesi, is known for its natural fire phenomenon caused by the release of flammable natural gas, giving the site unique scientific, educational, and tourism value. Using a participatory approach, the program included material presentations, interactive discussions, the introduction of geotrek route design, and field observations at several potential geosites. The results show that participants’ knowledge increased by 80–90% regarding geotourism concepts, geological resource conservation, and strategies for developing interpretive educational geotreks. Participants also demonstrated strong enthusiasm to engage in destination management and benefit from the economic opportunities offered by tourism activities. This program serves as an initial step in strengthening collaboration between the community, academia, and local government to support sustainable geotourism development. The socialization provides a foundation for achieving independent, well-directed, community-based management of the Tanjung Api geosite as part of broader geotourism development in Tojo Una-Una Regency.

Abstract

The Balukang area, Sojol District (Donggala Regency, Central Sulawesi), is characterized by dioritic intrusions and active artisanal mine workings that expose mineralized rocks. This study aims to identify the presence of ore minerals, determine their host rocks, and understand the relationship between geological conditions and ore mineral formation in the area. Sampling was carried out at several observation stations identified in the field. Limited exposure restricted the sampling process, so some samples were taken from man-made mining pits that were still accessible. From all the samples collected, four representative samples were selected for petrographic analysis and six representative samples for mineralographic analysis. Petrographic thin sections and polished sections were examined using transmitted- and reflected-light microscopy to characterize mineral assemblages and textures. The analysis results showed the presence of ore minerals such as silver, gold, pyrite, chalcopyrite, sphalerite, covellite, galena, and hematite, with observed textures including intergrowth, replacement, open space filling, and mutual boundary. These textural relationships indicate hydrothermal deposition and provide a basis for interpreting mineral paragenesis in the study area. The ore minerals are associated with quartz diorite and quartz porphyry diorite as host rocks, which are controlled by intrusion lithology and geological structures. Overall, the identified mineral assemblage and host-rock association offer an initial mineralogical baseline to guide exploration targeting along veins, fractures, and stockwork zones. This study is a preliminary study, so further research is needed through detailed geological mapping, geochemical analysis, and fluid inclusion studies.

Abstract

This study analyzes the geochemical characteristics of basaltic rocks in the Northern Taopa (Taopa Utara) area, Parigi Moutong Regency, Central Sulawesi, to constrain magma affinity, magmatic series, and tectonomagmatic setting. Although Central Sulawesi records complex arc–oceanic interaction, the major-element geochemistry of basalts from Northern Taopa has remained poorly documented. Petrographic observations and X-ray fluorescence (XRF) major-oxide analyses were conducted on four representative samples (ST10, ST19, ST24, and ST36). Petrographic analysis shows that all samples have a hypocrystalline–porphyritic texture with plagioclase, clinopyroxene, olivine, and opaque minerals set in a microlitic groundmass. Major-oxide compositions are characterized by SiO2 48.85–50.65 wt% and total Fe2O3 12.89–13.11 wt%, consistent with mafic basalt. On the total alkali–silica diagram the samples plot in the basalt field and display low total alkalis (Na2O+K2O 1.11–2.11 wt%) and very low K2O (0.039–0.051 wt%), indicating a low-K subalkaline affinity. AFM relations show relative Fe enrichment and place the samples within the tholeiitic series. Tectonic discrimination using TiO2–P2O5–MnO (TiO2 0.98–1.06 wt%; P2O5 0.405–0.427 wt%; MnO 0.208–0.276 wt%) suggests an ocean-island tholeiite (OIT) signature. The low-K tholeiitic, OIT-like character implies an intraplate oceanic mantle source contribution to basalt generation and provides quantitative constraints for refining regional tectonic reconstructions of Central Sulawesi during emplacement of the Taopa volcanic unit.
