Abstract

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) has the characteristics limited computing, memory and energy, so a routing protocol that supports WSN network performance is needed. Routing protocols based Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) are very suitable for use in WSN for routing data packets. In this report, we will try out several kinds of parameter values that bear on the pheromone evaporation (ρ) on the ACO algorithms applied to the WSN routing protocol with grid topology on the number of nodes variables in the WSN network. Where this can increase the number of delivery packets on a busy WSN network and each node transmits a packet continuously. From the results, the value of ρ 0.75 makes WSN performance on the grid topology with the number of nodes 12 and 30 very good in terms of the delivery packet, but with the number of nodes 70 the value of ρ 0.70 makes WSN performance better than the delivery packet side.

Abstract

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) merupakan teknologi sensor yang memiliki lebih dari 2 sensor dapat berkomunikasi dengan sensor lain tanpa menggunakan kabel untuk mengirimkan informasi pada lingkungan yang sulit dijangkau manusia, dimana sensor yang ada pada WSN dapat berperan sebagai sebagai sensor node untuk membaca data yang ada di lingkungan, route node untuk meneruskan paket data dari sebuah node ke node lain, dan sink node untuk mengumpulkan data dari node kemudian meneruskannya ke sistem lain. Sehingga node sensor yang ada pada WSN dapat beroperasi di berbagai lingkungan yang akan mempengaruhi bentuk topologi dan protokol routing yang digunakan. Maka dari itu pada penelitian ini akan dibahas kinerja dari dua protokol routing yang mewakili Proactive routing protocols (DSDV) dan Reactive routing protocols (AODV) akan diterapkan di lingkungan WSN dengan topologi grid, dimana pada percobaan yang dilakukan didapatkan protokol routing AODV lebih baik digunakan pada WSN dengan jumlah node 12 dilihat dari rasio selisih delivery dan drop paket AODV 324 dan DSDV 152 paket, sedangkan pada jumlah node yang lebih banyak yaitu 30 dan 70 node lebih cocok menggunakan protokol routing DSDV terlihat dari rasio selisih delivery dan drop paket DSDV untuk 30 node 1.141, 70 node 2.999 dan AODV untuk 30 node 312, 70 node 831.

Abstract

In contemporary society, beauty products have become essential, particularly for women. With their growing popularity, online review platforms now provide extensive information on product trends, customer satisfaction, and performance. However, the sheer volume of available reviews presents challenges in drawing meaningful conclusions. To address this, topic modeling techniques such as Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) have been widely employed in text mining and information retrieval. LDA is a probabilistic model capable of uncovering latent structures within textual data and identifying similarities across documents. Recent studies suggest that topic modeling of product reviews in the cosmetics industry can yield valuable insights into consumer perceptions and product attributes. This study aims to identify thematic patterns in customer reviews of ten facial cleanser brands sourced from the Female Daily website. The research methodology consists of five main stages: data collection, preprocessing, topic modeling using LDA, visualization, and topic interpretation. The results reveal that Topic 2, which highlights preferred product advantages, is the most frequently discussed, accounting for 48.5% of the total reviews. Topic 1, which focuses on the effects of products on acne-prone skin, constitutes 38%, while Topic 3, emphasizing products with natural ingredients, makes up 13.5% of the reviews. These findings can assist businesses in developing products that align more closely with consumer preferences. Moreover, they support prospective buyers in making informed purchasing decisions by enhancing their understanding of product attributes based on user experiences

Abstract

After the millennium era, the development of information technology has become quite fast, and changes in business patterns have also increased sharply. One of them is in the world of marketing. During the pandemic and post-pandemic times, digital transformation has been carried out, namely digital marketing or marketing products in cyberspace. Community service is one of the right ways to carry out the socialization of information technology in marketing techniques to support economic development. The community service that will be carried out is entitled Utilization of Digital Platforms and Social Media in Marketing Product Creativity for the PKK Desa Batu Rejo Group, to help the PKK Desa Batu to produce products that will be marketed online through digital platforms and social media that are already widely used by people. PKK groups will be guided and trained to be able to manufacture and market their products in the online market, so they can remain productive even from home. The activities carried out in this service are workshops on digital platforms and social media as well as training on their utilization in online marketing of the creative products of the PKK Batu Rejo Village group.

Abstract

Mental health is crucial for individual well-being, enabling people to manage stress, work productively, and contribute to their communities. However, in Tangkahen Village, Namorambe District, Deliserdang Regency, mental health awareness remains low, with many villagers associating mental disorders with supernatural causes rather than seeking medical help. This community service project aims to address this gap by implementing a web-based smart system to predict mental health conditions and providing education on mental health issues. In collaboration with Angel Health Clinic, the project will include free health checks, socialization, and pre- and post-tests to evaluate the impact of the program on community knowledge. The goal is to promote healthier and more prosperous living through increased mental health awareness and early detection.

Abstract

MSME 'Indekos' (boarding houses) in Medan City are generally still managed manually, causing partners to face fundamental problems in service and administration. The billing process, reliant on face-to-face meetings, makes tracking payments difficult, while tenants are often late paying due to a lack of reminders. Furthermore, the absence of a documented complaint channel means owners often forget to follow up on issues. This community service (PKM) activity aimed to overcome these problems through operational digitalization. The priority problems addressed were (1) the digitalization of billing and payments to provide real-time arrears information, and (2) the provision of a documented complaint channel with status tracking. The PKM method involved Training and Mentoring for 3 'indekos' owners in Medan City. The science-and-technology (ipteks) solution, a web-based management application, was developed using the adaptive Extreme Programming (XP) methodology, allowing iterative improvements based on partner feedback. Implementation included business process mapping (Planning), application installation (Small Releases), and guided testing (Testing/Feedback). The result of this activity is a ready-to-use application (PHP/MySQL) delivered to partners, along with operational SOPs and training modules. The implementation successfully improved the owners' administrative efficiency and service transparency for tenants.

Abstract

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) memiliki kekurangan disamping kelebihannya yang dapat digunakan di lingkungan extreme. Salah satu kekurangan yang menjadi faktor penting pada WSN adalah energi yang terbatas, karena kehabisan daya pada node-node di WSN sebelum menyelesaikan tugasnya akan menjadi masalah. Pada penelitian ini kami mencoba untuk memperpanjang masa pakai WSN yang menggunakan protocol routing DSDV dengan memanfaatkan kejadian yang sangat sulit dihindari pada sistem WSN dengan jumlah node yang banyak, yaitu tabrakan data (collision). Pada kondisi WSN yang menggunakan topologi grid dengan jumlah node 12, 30, dan 70 akan diterapkan protocol routing DSDV yang akan dibandingkan dengan protocol routing DSDV berbasis collision pada kondisi WSN yang sama. Dari beberapa percobaan dengan variasi jumlah node didapatkan hasil jaringan WSN yang menggunakan protocol routing DSDV berbasis collision lebih baik dalam hal pengiriman packet mencapai 92 packet dan efisiensi energi mencapai 10 milijoule
