Abstract

SUKORINTEX is a company that works in the textile industry, which is a production company for woven sarongs. The production system used is MTO (make to order), PT. SUKORINTEX has 5 work stations in the production process, namely preparation, weaving, gray room, finishing and pakaging work stations. Based on the initial observations that were made, there were obstacles where there were several unemployed work stations, while several other work stations were still working in full and there were bottlenecks. Therefore, a balance of trails is needed in order to minimize idle time at each work station.In the initial condition the company is aware of a balance delay value of 57%, line efficiency 43%, smoothness index 1326.95 and the number of work elements 19 and work stations 5. This research was conducted aimed at correcting the imbalance problems that exist within the company using the method line balancing which is the moodie young method. With the application of the moodie young method, improvements were obtained with 28% balance delay, 72% line efficiency, 659.36 smoothness index and 19 work elements and work stations 3. Thus the moodie young method can be used to improve production lines at PT. SUKORINTEX

Abstract

This study focuses on the Analysis of Inventory Systems at the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) BALAI YASA PT. KAI Tegal. This UPT has the duty as the person in charge of maintenance of the PT KAI train and car information system in the Central Java area. In this UPT the inventory and maintenance records of spare parts are still manual and not yet integrated so that the history of the use of spare parts is not well-databaseed, Technical Service Requests for Maintenance of IT (Information Technology) units are still done verbally and have not been well documented so that daily reports are not real and not real neat. This UPT has not determined the optimal number of orders, the number of safety stock and reorder points as important variables in the inventory system. Application of information systems in the company's business activities is one way for business activities to run faster, more precisely, and efficiently. The design of an inventory system improvement is to determine the optimal order quantity, safety stock (SS), and reorder point (ROP). In addition, the inventory feature is also equipped with a menu of incoming goods, items out and standby calculations, which makes it easy for IT units to monitor the condition of existing safety stock.

Abstract

PT. Idelux Furniture Indonesia is a manufacturing company engaged in the production of furniture, which produces chairs and tables. The main raw materials for the manufacture of this product are aluminum, woven materials, fabrics and foam. These raw materials come from both foreign and domestic suppliers. The problems that often occur at PT. Idelux Furniture Indonesia, namely in terms of raw materials, prices, quality, and delays when the delivery process does not match. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the performance evaluation of suppliers on aluminum raw materials, so that the company can find out which supplier has the best performance. There are several criteria and sub-criteria at PT. Idelux Furniture Indonesia, namely the criteria for quality, cost, delivery, flexibility and responsivenees as well as sub-criteria for the quality of raw materials, completeness of certificates, raw material prices, bill payment periods, on time delivery, accuracy in quantity or quantity of raw materials sent, fulfillment of requests for changes in the amount of raw materials ordered, changes in delivery time, response to changes in delivery schedules and suppliers respond to quality problems. From the calculation and weighting of suppliers against 5 criteria and 10 sub-criteria based on the Vendor Performance Indicator approach, it is found that PT. A has the highest value, namely 2.51 then PT. B with a value of 1.65 and the lowest is PT. C 0.83.

Abstract

Semen Gresik Tbk is one of a company engaged in manufacturing which produces cement located in Rembang regency. In the production process, there is a potential related to the risk of work accidents from minor accident to serious accident. This is an obstacle to smooth running of the production process. In term of the company experiencing losses due to human casualities, property and hampering productivity due to the number of lost work days. With the problem experienced, it requires a structured identification, measurement and handling of risks to reduce losses from risks. One method relation to the risk manajement is Multi Attribute Failure Mode Analysis (MAFMA) as an effort to reduce losses due to critical risks that could potentially occur in the cemment production process. The MAFMA method is the development of the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method which is used to determine the causes of potential failures by adding economic or cost factors to the risk assessment using the AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) method. From the research that has been done, it is obtained that the highest risk is the risk of falling from a height with a total risk of 0,108 and the risk of being electrocuted with a total risk of 0,091.
