Abstract

Silakupang is a traditional dance which forms is adjusted to the needs of national dance festival. Besides, the value of the dance is preserved and appreciated by the society. This research aims to analyze the changes of movement and values from Silakupang performance.The research employs qualitative methods with enthnochoreology approach. The data collection of this research used observation, interview, and documentation. The data were validated using triangulation of sources. The analysis of the data uses verification, reduction, and presentation followed by conclusion and interpretation to concept of changing movement and moral value. The finding of the research shows that the most obvious changes are to the choreography, costumes, and background music. The moral value of Silakupangcan be seen from the interpretation of the dance which shows the culture as an identity with moral value and openness to diversity, aesthetics, bravery, and creativity. The most important finding of the research is the changing of choreography which is more expressive and variative with the emphasis on the aesthetics and tolerance to change. The research has a significance in being a guidance for the society in using the traditional dance as the media of education and creativity. The value of Silakupan can be used as the living guidance of the society.

Abstract

The Warak Dugder dance is a new creation dance inspired by the dugderan tradition in welcoming the month of Ramadan in Semarang City. The purpose of this research is to analyze feminism and the role of women in the performing arts of Warak Dugder Dance, Semarang City. This research uses qualitative research methods with an anthropological approach. The data analysis used to analyze the feminism of the Warak Dugder Dance consists of three lines, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The data collection techniques using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results show that the Warak Dugder Dance illustrates the excitement of the atmosphere of the dugderan ritual ceremony in the Semarang city by adapting the characteristics and culture of the multicultural people of Semarang City. Feminism in the Warak Dugder Dance is a feminism of a radical-cultural field, which means that a woman does not need to be like a man, women still have strength that focus on tenderness, and women are the owners of their own bodies. The movement of female dancers rejecting male dancers in the Warak Dugder Dance illustrates the power of women to protect themselves and their honor. The Warak Dugder dance is often performed only displays female dancers, it proofs that female dancers have a role in strengthening the existence of the Warak Dugder Dance. The benefit of this research is to provide information related to the concept of feminism and the contribution of female dancers in the Warak Dugder Dance, the motivator for the community's enthusiasm to continue to preserve the regional arts of Semarang City, especially the Warak Dugder Dance, and to confirm that female dancers play a role in the existence of the Warak Dugder Dance.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to analyzed the role of social study (IPS) in Embedding multicultural values in sixth grade students at Kragan 01 primary school. This Study used qualitative research method. Data collected by interview, obsevation, and documentation. The data validity techique used the trianggulation method. The data analysis technique used interactive model of miles and huberman. The focus of research examinined the role of social studies learning in multicultural values. The result showed that the role of social studies learning in embedding multicultural education were : (1) embedding values and attitudes of tolerance, mutual undertanding, openness, inclusivism for diversity (2) Children had knowledge about cultural diversity and social problem (3) Built anti-discrimination and equality attitudes. The implication of the results of this study was embedding multicultural values was very useful for unifying the nation and reducing conflict.
