Abstract

Lignite is the lowest quality coal and cannot be traded in the market. One alternative is that lignite coal has a better use value, lignite coal can be used as a material for making activated carbon. Coal which has become activated carbon can be applied to tofu industrial waste water as an adsorbent in absorbing chemical oxygen demand contained in tofu industrial waste water. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of activated carbon from lignite,opium conditions and isotherm modeling. The method used in the manufacture of activated carbon from lignite is to use an activator in the form of 2 M NaOH with a carbonization temperature of 500°C using variations of 60 minutes and 90 minutes, then the activated carbon is soaked in 2 M HCl solution. Results from carbon characteristics The active lignite coal meets the requirements of SNI 06-3730-1995, the optimum time for reducing COD is 15 minutes with %removal of 66%, the optimum pH for reducing COD is pH 5 with %removal of 63.84% and the isotherm model follows the Harkin isotherm model - Jura with an average relative error of 13.024.

Abstract

Tim Pengabdian Masyarakat berupaya meningkatkan kualitas produk UMKM Desa Bulu dengan cara melaksanakan kegiatan-kegiatan yang sebelumnya belum pernah dilakukan oleh masyarakat Desa Bulu terkait pengembangan Produk. Selanjutnya tim memberikan inovasi pada produk yang sudah ada namun belum berkembang seiringnya zaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Produk UMKM melalui Optimalisasi Digital Marketing. Pelaku UMKM berperan penting dalam mengembangkan produk mereka. Sebagai pendekatan dalam acara ini maka tim melakukan survei penghambat dari berkembangnya produk UMKM, serta bekerjasama dengan pihak terkait untuk memperlancar kegiatan yang sedang diadakan. Pasca pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat, para pelaku UMKM memahami terkait digital marketing, pentingnya label sertifikasi halal, dan menarikan kemasan produk. Selama pelaksanaan ini mampu memberikan manfaat yang besar dan cocok bagi para pelaku UMKM, yang semula pelaku UMKM sangat minim pengetahuan tentang hal tersebut.

Abstract

PT Perkebunan Nusantara VI Unit Usaha Pinang Tinggi uses biomass fuel that can produce the main pollutants, SO2 and NO2, dispersed around industry and have the potential to cause air pollution. The study using the AERMOD model aims to determine dispersion of SO2 and NO2 concentrations at receptors, validation of the AERMOD model with RMSPE, contribution of boiler chimney emission to the receptors, and dispersion of actual unmeasured receptor concentration compared to air quality standards. The results showed that the highest and lowest dispersion of SO2 at 1-hour in Kantin Karyawan PKS was 35,85 μg/m3 and Kantor & Gudang was 26,85 μg/m3, while at 24-hours in Halaman Kantor PKS was 25,72 μg/m3 and Perumahan Karyawan PKS (Pondok 5) was 23,99 μg/m3.  The highest and lowest  dispersion of NO2 at 1-hour in Kantin Karyawan PKS was 115,64 μg/m3 and Kantor & Gudang was 38,77 μg/m3, while at 24-hours in Kantin Karyawan PKS was 36,36 μg/m3 and Perumahan Karyawan PKS (Pondok 5) was 24,36 μg/m3. AERMOD model validation for SO2 19,94%<25% (valid) and NO2>25% (invalid). The highest and lowest chimney emission contribution of SO2 at 1-hour in Halaman Kantor PKS was 10,35% and Halaman Toko Bu Sakti was 0%, while at 24-hours in Halaman Kantor PKS was 6,77% and Perumahan Karyawan PKS (Pondok 5) was 0,62%. The highest and lowest contribution of NO2 at 1-hour in Halaman Kantor PKS was 18,46% and Halaman Toko Bu Sakti was 0%, while at 24-hours in Halaman Kantor PKS was 30,12% and Perumahan Karyawan PKS was 0,92%. The actual unmeasured receptors are smaller than the ambient air quality standards.
