Abstract

The presence of students in Riau province has been carried away by the sophistication of social media technology, whether they are consumers or producers.Young students of social media activists are required to be creative in using it. Its presenceas a cyber army on social media has become a determining factor in the community formedin each campus based on religion. This continues to spark debate on social media whenthere is an action to defend Islam. The formation of cyber troops by naming them on socialmedia is the Muslim Cyber Army, they are tasked with escorting, filtering, and alsoclarifying news or information circulating on social media, especially on Instagram socialmedia. This study aims to determine how much influence the role of the cyber army has andchanges in social media culture on the existence of Malay Malay culture, which means thatthe old communication practices that change with new media (social media) lead tocultural changes in social media so that local culture such as Malay culture is changingRiau is affected. The results of the research under study there is a positive and significanteffect simultaneously of 54% of the role of the cyber army in changing social media cultureon the existence of Riau Malay culture. This means that students in Riau province as acyber army have a role in changing social media culture to maintain the existence of Malayculture.

Abstract

This service activity aims to provide training to commissioners and employees within the Bawaslu (Badan Pengawas Pemilihan Umum) Siak Regency. As an election supervisor who has the duty and authority as one of the institutions in supervising of all stages of the election, the human resources in it need good communication skills so that the message conveyed through the supervisory action is effective. Therefore, election supervisors must have communication competence as election supervisors. Activities are carried out in the form of training, starting with the presentation of materials and practices of communication competence for election supervisors. All participants participated in the activity enthusiastically. Based on the results of the pretest and posttest, there was an increase in the communication skills of the participants after participating in this communication competency training activity.

Abstract

Media sosial telah menjadi bagian yang tidak dapat terpisahkan dalam kehidupan setiap individu di dunia abad ke 21. Kecanduan media sosial pada kelompok usia yang lebih muda adalah menjadi permasalahan utama. Penggunaan media sosial dianggap sebagai salah satu kegiatan yang paling umum di kalangan para mahasiswa yang dapat mempengaruhi kehidupan sehari-hari mereka. Ada variasi yang bagus dari tingkat dampak ini tergantung pada jenis kelamin dan beberapa faktor lain. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi perbedaan gender di antara mahasiswa di Universitas yang ada di Riau baik negeri maupun swasta untuk memprediksi dampak dari penggunaan media sosial dalam menyebarkan kepanikan selama pandemic yang berpengaruh terhadap hasil akademik mahasiswa. Metode penelitian kuantitatif digunakan untuk penelitian ini dengan menggunakan studi cross-sectional dilakukan pada 650 sampel mahasiswa perguruan tinggi yang ada di Riau selama 3 bulan dengan menggunakan Skala peringkat Linkert Uji chi-kuadrat menggunakan SPSS (v 20) digunakan untuk analisis data. Penelitian ini menunjukkan perbedaan gender yang signifikan mempengaruhi prestasi akademik mahasiswa dalam penggunaan media sosial.

Abstract

Talking about 2024 is certainly talking about the political year in Indonesia. Year of 2024 is the year when legislative candidates and of course presidential and vice-presidential candidates starts contesting. Currently, one of the presidential candidates from the party that won the 2014 and 2019 elections is Ganjar Pranowo. As one of the presidential candidates in 2024, Ganjar Pranowo really needs to present himself as a person who deserves to be the president of Indonesia in 2024, so it is important for Ganjar Pranowo to utilize his social media and then through the concept of hyperreality give an effect to a wide audience through social media. This research was conducted to find out how Ganjar Pranowo's political branding simulation in preparation for the 2024 Presidential Election is based on big data analysis on Tiktok social media through content related to Ganjar's candidacy as a Presidential candidate in 2024. The focus of the research is the arrangement and meaning of #GanjarPresiden2024 signs and messages on mainstream social media received by digital society and then forming a simulation of Ganjar Pranowo's political branding which is the result of the digital communication process towards Ganjar's political representation as a 2024 presidential candidate. The research method uses Jean Baudrillard's theory with a simulation approach.

Abstract

The political contestation of the 2024 presidential election in Indonesia has shown the influence of the electability of each candidate. One of them is through President Jokowi's social media, giving a positive trend for several candidates, followers give signs of support to the 2024 presidential candidates. Signs on social media have become a new trend for people in cyberspace to discuss it. The purpose of this study, how President Jokowi through his social media provides a positive trend for the 2024 presidential candidates, through new signs on social media becomes prevalent because the current president should not provide support to one of the candidates, but because the 2 presidential candidates are currently still officials in the government. President Jokowi's support on social media for presidential candidate Parbowo, who is currently the Minister of Defence, has been read by the signs given on Jokowi's social media. This will make a positive trend for Prabowo to get attention for the public. Through big data analysis on social media Instagram and twitter. The click bait media questioned where is Jokowi's support going? To Ganjar or Prabowo? The signs analysed through big data show that Jokowi is playing a role in the two 2024 presidential contenders. The sign #prabowopresident2024 received positive sentiment on facebook, Instagram and tiktok.

Abstract

The presence of the digital era is currently a challenge for society in the values of life in the family. Empowerment and family welfare (PKK) in Mundam village, Medang Kampai sub-district, Dumai city, are experiencing the challenges of the digital era. The priority issue in this service activity is to raise awareness of PKK members in becoming a digital resilient family. Digital literacy is the first ability to think critically when consuming information in cyberspace. Family members should have immunity in consuming information with the power to think critically, by questioning and discussing the information obtained. The concept of Interpersonal communication is a concept of intense communication between parents and children in the family at home. The aim of this program is to create conditions for the PKK in Mundam village to have digital literacy so that a digitally resilient family is achieved. There are two literacy programs that are important to carry out, namely a digital resilient family and well-executed interpersonal communication. The two programs are one of the solutions in minimizing the problems faced by PKK in Mundam village.

Abstract

Talking about 2024 is of course talking about the political year in Indonesia. 2024 is the year when legislative candidates and of course presidential and vice presidential candidates will begin to fight. Currently, one of the presidential candidates from the party that is the current government party is Anies Baswedan. Based on what has been regulated in political ethics and election ethics, it is certainly not allowed to campaign by presidential candidates before the campaign period is carried out, but what happened was the emergence of social media content from Anies Baswedan containing campaigns with disguised signs and also camouflaged content so that what the public eye sees presented in cyberspace is only the content of his daily activities. This study aims to determine how Anies Baswedan’s political branding simulation in preparation for the 2024 Presidential Election. This research uses simulation analysis on Jean Baudrillarde’s theory based on big data analysis on Tiktok social media through content related to Anies’ candidacy as a 2024 Presidential candidate. The focus of the research is the arrangement and meaning of #aniesPresiden2024 signs and messages on mainstream social media received by the digital community and then forming a simulation of Anies Baswedan’s political branding which is the result of the digital communication process towards Anies’ political representation as a 2024 presidential candidate. The results of this study found that tiktok social media has a huge influence on the political branding of anies baswedan, digital society widely receives and consumes information related to the intellectual sign of anies baswedan.

Abstract

This study aims to see the big influence of exposure to gadget reviews on buying interest in the @Freefireriau game community members. Gadget review is a video review content about gadgets, in which the reviewer will review gadget products which are then uploaded to YouTube. This study uses the theory of SOR (Stimulus-Organism-Response) with the assumption that the message conveyed is a response or motivation which can carry out a change in attitude behavior where the form of behavior change here is buying interest. In this study, the research method used was quantitative with a sample of 85 people using non-probability sampling using purposive sampling technique. By using a questionnaire as an instrument which was then processed using the SPSS 25 program. The validity test of the instrument was carried out using Correlation Product Moment and further Reliability Test with Alpha Cronbach, for analysis using the Simple Linear Regression Test. The results show that the Gadget Review Exposure to Buying Interest of @Freefireriau Game Community Members has a significant effect. With the results of the coefficient of determination, the R value is 0.696, which indicates that it is in the strong category and the R Square value (R2) is 0.484 or indicates that the effect of Gadget Review Exposure on Purchase Intention is 48.4% which is included in the medium category, and for the rest it is 51.6 % findings by other factors not present in this study.

Abstract

Sustainable Tourism can be defined as a tourism concept that is expected to ensure the preservation and authenticity of natural resources. It is a development concept of sustainable development that includes economic, sociocultural, and environmental aspects in order to meet the needs of the present without reducing the fulfillment of the needs of future generations and can form a society that is adaptive to the environment and interacts with each other. Online media is important in its implementation, so this research looks at how social media can be a step in sustainable tourism. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method in which the object of research is the management of social media as sustainable tourism. The results of the study found that the village of Pulau Gadang in managing social media as sustainable tourism is as a validity tool and village promotion, education as a principle of sustainability, community and collaboration, responsible tourism management, interaction, evaluation and reciprocity.
