Abstract

The use of chemical fertilizers in agriculture is still the mainstay of farmers. However, in reality, fertilizer prices are getting higher and unaffordable, causing farmers to find it increasingly difficult. One of the solutions offered by the service team is to use livestock manure in bokashi fertilizer. The service was located in the Pojok Village, Kediri City, East Java Province. The methods include an initial survey, identification of partner problems, socialization and education, training and practice, then monitoring and evaluation. The initial survey results revealed that most residents applied chemical fertilizers in farming and did not know how to use livestock manure as an ingredient for making bokashi fertilizer. Furthermore, the service team conducted socialization and was followed by partners enthusiastically. The partner's response to this training was outstanding and was considered to provide a solution to the farmers. However, further assistance is still needed to apply bokashi fertilizer sustainably. Penggunaan pupuk kimia dalam bidang pertanian saat ini masih menjadi andalan petani, namun dalam kenyataannya harga pupuk yang semakin tinggi dan tidak terjangkau mengakibatkan petani semakin kesulitan. Salah satu solusi yang ditawarkan oleh tim pengabdian adalah memanfaatkan kotoran ternak menjadi pupuk bokashi. Lokasi pengabdian dilakukan di Kelurahan Pojok Kota Kediri Provinsi Jawa Timur. Metode yang dilakukan diawali dengan survei awal, identifikasi permasalahan mitra, sosialisasi dan edukasi, pelatihan dan praktik, kemuadian monitoring dan evaluasi. Hasil survei awal diketahui bahwa mayoritas warga masih menggunakan pupuk kimia dalam bertani dan kurangnya pengetahuan petani tentang pemanfaatan kotoran ternak sebagai pupuk bokashi. Selanjutnya, sosialisasi yang dilaksankan oleh tim pengabdi direspon sangat baik oleh mitra, terbukti dengan antusias warga yang hadir untuk mengikuti sosialisasi. Respon mitra terhadap pelatihan ini sangat baik dan dianggap memberikan solusi kepada petani. Namun, masih diperlukan pendampingan lebih lanjut untuk mengaplikasikan pupuk bokashi secara keberlanjutan.

Abstract

Tanjungsari Village is located in Karangrejo District and consists of 2 hamlets, namely Tiyang Hamlet and Tanjung Hamlet. However, there are problems with fishing using chemicals and electric shock devices. Therefore, the service team conducts outreach activities to increase awareness of maintaining the aquatic ecosystem environment. The stages of implementing service activities included initial coordination with stakeholders and Neighborhood heads, then analysis of the location situation and observation of the service site, next installation of appeal plaques, and finally, evaluation of the results. The result of this service was that implementing a service activity program with the residents of Tanjungsari Village can increase their insight into caring for the surrounding environment. Young people must understand the role of protecting ecosystems, especially in water. It is necessary to carry out further services to monitor the success of previous services Desa Tanjungsari terletak di Kecamatan Karangrejo dan terdiri dari 2 dusun yaitu Dusun Tiyang dan Dusun Tanjung. Namun, terdapat permasalahan penangkapan ikan menggunakan bahan kimia dan alat setrum. Maka dari itu tim pengabdian melaksanakan kegiatan sosialisasi untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dalam pemeliharaan lingkungan ekosistem perairan. Tahapan pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian meliputi koordinasi awal kepada stakeholder dan ketua RT, kemudian analisis situasi lokasi dan observasi tempat pengabdian, selanjutnya, pemasangan plakat himbauan, dan terakhir evaluasi hasil. Hasil pengabdian ini adalah Terlaksananya program kegiatan pengabdian dengan warga Desa Tanjungsari dapat menambah wawasan tentang kepedulian menjaga lingkungan sekitar. Pentingnya peran pemuda mengerti menjaga ekosistem khususnya di perairan. Perlu dilakukan pengabdian lanjutan untuk memonitoring keberhasilan dari pengabdian sebelumnya

Abstract

The Java Sea is influenced by the west and east monsoons, which have an impact on hydrodynamic processes and chemical-biological water quality. Chemical-biological parameters play an important role in the food chain cycle that occurs in these waters. The quality of the eastern Java Sea waters is still limited by chemical-biological parameters, so the characteristics and distribution of these waters can be comprehensively known. chemical-biological. This study aimed to analyze the characteristics and distribution of nitrate, phosphate, oxygen, chlorophyll-A, and NPP parameters in the eastern Java Sea waters. This study used secondary data with daily temporal resolution from January to December 2020. Spatial analysis uses the climatological averaging method for 6 months as a statistical representative of the west monsoon and east monsoon. For each parameter, a vertical analysis was conducted to compare parameter values between the coastal waters of Tuban, Java Sea, and Banjarmasin Waters. Correlation analysis between parameters was conducted using the Pearson correlation method. Nitrate, phosphate, oxygen, chlorophyll-A, and NPP concentrations have temporal and spatial variability. Monsoon factors in Indonesia have a strong influence on the variability of nitrate, phosphate, oxygen, chlorophyll- A, and NPP concentrations. During the east monsoon, the concentration of chemical-biological parameters decreases, while in the west monsoon, the concentration increases and reaches its highest value. Generally, high concentrations occur in the northern and southern parts of the study site, around the coastal areas of Java and Kalimantan. Key Word: Chemical-Biological Parameters, Java Sea, Tuban Waters
