Abstract

This study tried to explore the subject of Noer Nasroh Hadiningrat who had found an eco-theological awareness at the Walisongo Islamic Boarding School in Tuban. Ecotheology is an interesting topic in academic studies today. The ecological paradigm that rests on the spirit of this religion is believed to be able to overcome the environmental crisis happening now. The focus of this study seeks to explain how the subject's conception of ecotheology, what actions are carried out? And how sustainability and implications are for the community? Using an ethnographic approach, this study focuses on epic and emic data obtained from the explanation of the subject and facts in the research field. The results of this study found that the ecotheology conception initiated by the subject was a religious reflection that originated from the primary text of Islam combined with traditional wisdom. The establishment of the State Vocational High School (SMKN) is a concrete manifestation of the subject's efforts to integrate beliefs, traditions, and forestry so that they manifest themselves in concrete actions such as reforestation, conservation, and changes in public awareness of the urgency of forest conservation. In the aspect of continuity, the existence of Forestry Vocational Schools is a forum for printing students who have an awareness of forest conservation as well as being able to seek life from it. The idea of Kiai Noer also received support from sons, the government, and the community. This ecotheology conception has also inspired other pesantren to form a similar ecological paradigm.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui program dan prosedur penyuluhan dan pembinaan oleh mantri hewan terhadap peternak sapi di Desa Kilangan Kecamatan Muara Bulian Kabupaten Batanghari. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Penulis mengumpulkan data yang dibutuhkan dengan menggunakan metode wawancara. Dalam praktek penyuluhan dan pembinaan dipasar hewan Muara Bulian terindikasi ada praktek jual beli sperma. Hasil analisis dari wawancara tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam praktek tersebut ada bayaran yang harus dikeluarkan peternak untuk keberhasilan inseminasi buatan tersebut. Penemuan persepsi masyarakat didesa Kilangan ini membuka mata kita bahwasanya tugas yang dijalankan oleh perangkat pemerintah yang sebetulnya sudah mendapatkan honorarium akan mendapatkan imbalan juga ketika sudah memenuhi panggilan masyarakat yang membutuhkan. Bahkan tarif yang diberikan mengubah persepsi mereka dalam hal akad. Jika nominal yang diberikan jumlahnya tidak ditentukan oleh mantri maka itu disebut dengan ijarah, akan tetapi yang terjadi malah aqad tersebut dikenal masyarakat dengan jual beli, sehingga mengubah hukum transaksinya, oleh karena itu sebagai masyarakat pengguna sebaiknya memahami dengan baik muamalah yang sedang dijalani.

Abstract

This study examines the translation of the Qur’an in the contemporary Western context, focusing on the post-September 11 tragedy. The translation of the Qur’an at this phase serves as a gateway for understanding Islam and plays a pivotal role in shaping the perception of Islam in Western society. Furthermore, these translations are intertwined with Islamic socio-political discourse. This study's primary objective is to analyze the development of methodological approaches in translating the Qur’an in the contemporary West and explore the production of Islamic discourse within these translations. Using textual and content analysis, this research posits that, firstly, the methodology of Qur’an translation in the contemporary West has witnessed significant advancement in methodological aspects. This can be observed through the transition from literal, interlineal, and polemical translations to more contextual and even reformist translations. Secondly, apart from being influenced by the socio-political landscape of Islam in the West, the translations of the Qur’an also contribute to the creation of Islamic discourse, particularly in shaping the perception of Qur’an translation in the contemporary Western context, which strives for openness, contemporaneity, and the restoration of Islam’s image and the Qur’an’s oral power.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation process of entrepreneurship learning in class IV of SD Inpres Samata, Somba Opu District, Gowa Regency. This research is a qualitative study with a descriptive approach. The subjects in this study were supervisors, principals, 2 grade IV teachers, PAI teachers, PJOK teachers, and 2 grade IV students of SD Inpres Samata. Data collection techniques in this study used interviews, observation, and documentation while the data analysis techniques used included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification.  The results showed that entrepreneurship learning in class IV of SD Inpres Samata, Somba Opu District, Gowa Regency helped shape students' entrepreneurial character and skills, although its effectiveness varied. Teachers motivate students to be entrepreneurial with experiential learning methods and relevant case studies, raising their awareness early on. Interest in entrepreneurship grows through the manufacture and marketing of simple products. Creativity and innovation are developed through entrepreneurial projects, although there is limited use of technology. Challenge-based learning trains students to think critically and spot opportunities, but some still struggle to find independent solutions. Leadership is practiced through group work, but needs to be evaluated so that experience is evenly distributed. The courage to take risks is honed through small business simulations, although some students are still afraid of failure. Hard work is instilled through entrepreneurial tasks that foster perseverance and discipline, although further mentoring strategies are needed. Overall, this learning has a positive impact but still needs strengthening in mentoring, utilization of technology, and more complex challenges so that students are more independent and ready to face the business world.

Abstract

This study explores the contextualization of Dawam Rahardjo’s Ensiklopedi Al-Qur’an, aiming to examine his paradigm of contextual interpretation and analyze how it is reflected in one of the entries within his work. Employing a qualitative method based on literature review, this research adopts Abdullah Saeed’s theory of contextual interpretation as the hermeneutical framework for engaging with the Qur’an. The study presents two main findings. First, Dawam Rahardjo’s interpretive paradigm is demonstrably contextual. This is evident in his emphasis on the importance of understanding the Qur’an within the context of its revelation. He further argues that the values of the Qur’an must not remain confined to their historical context but should be internalized within contemporary Indonesian society as a foundation for both social and intellectual engagement. Second, Dawam’s contextual approach is reflected in his interpretation of the prohibition of riba (usury). In its revelatory context, the addition of value in lending was condemned because it typically involved oppressive consumer debt, particularly burdening low-income individuals. By contrast, Dawam argues that modern bank interest does not fall under the category of riba, since it involves productive loans and serves as a payment for the services rendered by financial institutions, which are legally regulated. Another example of Dawam’s contextual methodology is his interpretation of the term ummah in QS. Ali Imrān (3): 104. He understands ummah as referring to the concept of a state, linking it to both the historical development of the Madinah Charter and to modern notions of the social contract.

Abstract

Pada masa Pandemi Covid-19, pihak MTs Negeri Luwu tetap mengadakan Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ) dengan menggunakan beberapa aplikasi online yang mudah diaplikasikan guru dan peserta didik. Hal ini merupakan solusi bagi terbatasnya ruang gerak pada kegiatan pembelajaran. Inilah yang menjadi latar belakang dilakukannya penelitian ini. Adapun tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui penggunaan aplikasi Google Meeting dalam pembelajaran Things Around the World menggunakan model Project Based Learning (PjBL) terhadap prestasi belajar peserta didik kelas VII.8 MTs Negeri Luwu Tahun Ajaran 2021/2022. Desain penelitian kualitatif deskriptif mengambil data dari 31 peserta didik untuk menyelidiki bagaimana penggunaan Google Meeting dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar peserta didik dalam pembelajaran Things Around the World. Pengambilan data penelitian menggunakan jurnal refleksi dan tes. Data dari jurnal refleksi dianalisis secara deskriptif sedangkan data dari tes materi Things Around the World dianalisis secara statistik. Setelah menganalisis data, temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase peserta didik yang memiliki nilai tinggi adalah 79%, sedangkan siswa dengan nilai rendah adalah 21%. Temuan ini didukung oleh data refleksi peserta didik bahwa PjBL mendorong mereka untuk bekerja sama sebelum mempresentasikan proyek pada Things Around the World melalui Google Meeting. Belajar melalui Google Meeting membuat peserta didik lebih fokus karena dilakukan dari rumah sendiri dan dipantau orang tua wali peserta didik. Selain itu, Google Meeting memberikan pengalaman baru dalam belajar bagi peserta didik khususnya Kelas VII.8 MTs Negeri Luwu Tahun Ajaran 2021/2022 dan memiliki kesempatan untuk menonton kembali hasil rekaman guru kapanpun diperlukan.

Abstract

This study analyzes the construction of digital religious discourse regarding infidelity and the narrative of "women’s slander" in da'wah (preach) content on the Instagram of @raehanul_bahraen. Using the Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) model of Teun A. van Dijk, this study examines how text structure, social cognition, and social context work simultaneously in shaping representations of gender relations and moral responsibility in the digital space. The research data were obtained through digital observation of da'wah uploads that explicitly refer to the hadith on women's slander, accompanied by analysis of captions, visuals, video narration, and audience comments as part of the discourse’s context. The analysis reveals a consistent pattern of discourse across the macro-, super-, and microstructures, in which men are positioned as subjects whose faith is tested. At the same time, women are portrayed as external sources of moral threats. This pattern is strengthened through religious lexical choices, rhetorical strategies in the form of appeals to authority, and individualistic framing of moral causality. The mubādalah (reciprocity) approach is used to re-read the hadith quoted in the discourse through the principle of reciprocity, so that moral responsibility is understood relationally and symmetrically between men and women. This research contributes theoretically by integrating CDA and the mubādalah approach in the analysis of digital da'wah, and empirically demonstrates how gender bias is reproduced and negotiated in religious communication on social media.

Abstract

This article examines the ma‘nā-cum-maghzā and Maqāsid-based interpretation approaches initiated by Indonesian Muslim scholars. While most existing research predominantly focuses on applying these two methodologies, this article critically analyzes the construction of both methodologies to understand their methodological applications and the extent of the contributions offered by these interpretation methodologies. The study argues that, firstly, the conceptual framework and methodology of ma‘nā-cum-maghzā and Maqāsid-based interpretation still heavily rely on the previous scholars’ ideas and have yet to find relatively new grounding and expansion, despite both claiming to extend beyond the boundaries of legal verses in the Qur’an. Secondly, in terms of practical implementation, the ma‘nā-cum-maghzā methodology appears to be more structured in its formulation, while the Maqāsid-based interpretation, on the other hand, still lacks a concrete formulation of its interpretative steps. Mustaqim, in this regard, only formulates principles for interpreting the Qur’an based on maqāsid. Thirdly, although they may differ conceptually and terminologically, both methodologies converge and share similarities in seeking the main message of the Qur’an. Mustaqim refers to it as maqāsid, while Sahiron terms it as historical phenomenal significance. Similarly, in terms of contextualization perspective, Mustaqim refers to it as the movement of text (harakiyyat al-nass), while Sahiron terms it as dynamic phenomenal significance. Artikel ini mengkaji pendekatan ma‘nā-cum-maghzā dan tafsīr maqāsidī yang diinisiasi oleh sarjana Muslim Indonesia. Jika mayoritas penelitian yang ada lebih dominan untuk mengaplikasikan kedua metodologi tersebut, artikel ini hendak menelaah secara kritis terhadap konstruksi kedua metodologi itu untuk melihat bagaimana aplikasi metodologi dan sejauh mana kontribusi yang ditawarkan dari kedua metodologi penafsiran tersebut. Penelitian ini berargumen bahwa, pertama, bangunan konsep dan metodologi ma‘nā-cum-maghzā dan tafsīr maqāsidī masih sepenuhnya berpijak dari konsepsi-konsepsi pemikiran ulama sebelumnya, dan bahkan belum menemukan titik pijakan dan perluasan yang relatif baru, meskipun keduanya mengklaim melampaui batasan ayat-ayat hukum dalam Al-Qur’an. Kedua, dalam wilayah aplikatifnya, metodologi ma‘nā-cum-maghzā terlihat lebih terstruktur dalam perumusan metodenya. Sedangkan tafsīr maqāsidī, tampaknya masih belum terumuskan secara konkret langkah-langkah penafsirannya. Mustaqim dalam hal ini, hanya merumuskan prinsip-prinsip dalam menafsirkan Al-Qur’an dengan berbasis pada maqāsid. Ketiga, meskipun terlihat berbeda secara konsep dan terminologis, keduanya menemukan titik persinggungan dan persamaan dalam mencari pesan utama teks al-Qur’an. Dalam bahasa Mustaqim disebut dengan maqāsid, sedangkan dalam terminologi Sahiron disebut dengan signifikansi fenomenal historis. Demikian juga dengan perspektif kontekstualisasi, yang dalam bahasa Mustaqim disebut dengan gerak teks (harakiyyat al-nass), sedangkan dalam terminologi Sahiron disebut dengan signifikansi fenomenal dinamis.
