Abstract

Transportation is discussing the problems of distribution items from a source to a destination with an aim to minimize transportation costs. The problem of fuzzy transport is the cost of transportation, supply, and demand with a quantity of fuzzy. The purpose of the research is a study of a comparison of theories from the zero-point method and the zero-suffix method in determining the optimal solution on cost transportation. Based on the result of the theoretical comparison, it can be concluded that the process of using the zero-suffix method is shorter in determining an optimal solution in 6 steps than that of a zero-point method in 11 steps. For achieving the optimal value shows that for zero-suffix the method of occurrence iteration in the sixth step, but for the zero-point method the iteration occurs in the ninth step. The results in the numerical comparison we conclude the distribution cost using two methods is the same, based on the demand and supply obtained 7 times iteration and 7 items allocation for zero point method, while 6 times iteration and 7 items allocation for zero suffix method.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the optimization of balanced dietary composition for pregnant women. Determination of the optimization of balanced food is carried out by forming a linear model along with boundary conditions and objective functions, as well as inputting data on the age of pregnant women, age of pregnancy and maternal nutritional needs, then the calculation is carried out using the simplex method in order to obtain the weight of food ingredients that must be consumed to get a balanced nutrition, namely with 75 combinations that have been analyzed on groups of pregnant women aged 19-29 years and 30-49 years in three trimesters, including staple foods, vegetables (spinach, green mustard, cauliflower, kale, carrots), fruit, side dishes vegetables, nuts, sugar and milk with the recommended nutritional adequacy rate for the data content of water, energy, protein, fat, carbohydrate (KH), fiber, vitamin A, B1, B2, B3 and vitamin C. In the group of pregnant women aged 19-29 years and women aged 30-49 years in the three trimesters, it was found that the combination of 55 was the optimal combination with rice, kale, watermelon, and tofu.

Abstract

This article explains Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) in image compression. Wavelet transform is a generalization of Fourier transform, consisting of discrete and continuous wavelet transform. DWT has many uses, including image compression, fingerprint recognition, and image denoising. This research aims to know the steps of digital image compression using DWT and compare the original and resulting images. Efforts of DWT in digital image compression go by DWT's process, determining the threshold, sorting the absolute value of the image whether it is minor or more significant (equal to) threshold value, then is processed, Inverse Discrete Wavelet Transform (IDWT). This research explains the Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR), computing time, and compression ratio for three examples: the image of the cameraman, Lena, and a cat. The results determine that the highest PSNR values are wavelet of coiflets 3 for the cameraman, biorthogonal 3.5 for Lena, and coiflets 3 for the cat. The fastest computation times are wavelet of symlets 4 for the cameraman, symlets 4, coiflets 3 for Lena, and Daubechies 4 for the cat. Then, the highest compression ratios are wavelet of symlets 4, biorthogonal 3.5, coiflets 3 for the cameraman, Haar for Lena, and symlets 4, biorthogonal 3.5 for the cat. The results of this research are we get steps of the discrete wavelet transform for digital image compression. Also, we obtain types of wavelets with the highest PSNR values, the fastest computation times, and the highest compression ratios.

Abstract

Wavelet topics can be applied for image denoising. Wavelet transform is divided into discrete wavelet transform and continuous wavelet transform. Discrete wavelet transform is useful for image denoising, image compression, etc. In this research, we discuss image denoising using wavelets with hard thresholding and soft thresholding. We will also compare results of image denoising using VisuShrink, BayesShrink, and NormalShrink in determining threshold value. In this research, we use grayscale test image with size pixels. To measure algorithm, peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) value is used. Image denoising uses hard thresholding: PSNR values of Haar, Daubechies 7, and biorthogonal 3.5 wavelets are same for three methods (VisuShrink, BayesShrink, NormalShrink). PSNR value of symlets 11 wavelet is highest for VisuShrink and NormalShrink methods. Whereas, PSNR value of coiflets 3 wavelet is highest for VisuShrink method. Fastest computing times of Haar, Daubechies 7, biorthogonal 3.5, and symlets 11 wavelets are for VisuShrink method. Whereas, fastest computing time of coiflets 3 wavelet is for NormalShrink method. Image denoising using soft threshoding: PSNR values of Haar, Daubechies 7, biorthogonal 3.5, and coiflets 3 wavelets are same for three methods (VisuShrink, BayesShrink, NormalShrink). Whereas, PSNR value of symlets 11 wavelet is highest for VisuShrink and BayesShrink methods. Fastest computing times of all wavelets (Haar, Daubechies 7, biorthogonal 3.5, symlets 11, and coiflets 3) are for NormalShrink method.

Abstract

In the development of science and technology in the world of education, students need to be introduced to a variety of varied learning media, one of which is the use of augmented reality-based e-books. The ability to learn analytic geometry requires systematic, logical and critical thinking that can be developed through learning. The purpose of this study is to test the increase in learning motivation using augmented reality based e-book media in analytic geometry course. The method in this study using ADDIE which consists of five stages which include analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The result of the research is that the average result of the questionnaire given by students from various aspects of the assessment is 86%. Meanwhile, based on learning outcomes, there is a difference in learning outcomes between midterm exam score and the e-book score, which is 9.18 and based on the results of the analysis using SPSS on the t-test, it is found that tcount = 4.768 > ttable = 2.015. From these results, it can be concluded that augmented reality-based e-book media in analytic geometry courses can motivate students as a technology based learning medium for students of mathematics study program at Universitas Billfath. Keywords: augmented reality, geometry analytic, e-book DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v23i2.pp486-495

Abstract

The very rapid development of technology in the era of Society 5.0, requires lecturers to package learning that is interesting for students, one of which is with media and learning approaches from abstract material to concrete material. The purpose of this research is to produce e-comic products with a realistic approach. mathematics education in geometry transformation courses that can be used in online tutorials for 4th semester mathematics education study program students at Universitas Terbuka. This research method uses the Dick & Carey development design by including eight steps. Based on the results of student questionnaire responses using e-comic media with a realistic mathematics education approach, namely based on the results of student assessment responses, an average value of 86% was obtained, which means that e-comic media is classified as good as a learning medium. Meanwhile, based on the test of the effectiveness of the use of media on students, it is obtained tcount 3.285 > ttable 2.002 from the two results from the t-test through comparison it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that it means that there is a difference in the average learning outcomes between tutor class scores and the class media score. This means that the e-comic media learning outcomes with the RME approach to this transformation geometry material is effectively used for students of mathematics education program at the Universitas Terbuka. Keywords: research & development, e-comics, realistic mathematics education. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v23i4.pp1769-1776
