Abstract

This study examines the influence of democratic leadership style, motivation, and work discipline on the performance of employees at the Secretariat of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) of Kuningan Regency. Conducted over five months using a quantitative approach, data were gathered from all 81 employees via a Likert-scale questionnaire. The results indicate that all three variables significantly influence performance individually and collectively. Motivation emerged as the strongest predictor with a Beta coefficient of 0.658, followed by democratic leadership (0.346) and work discipline (0.330). The F-test confirmed the simultaneous effect of these variables, with an F-statistic of 15.373 and a p-value of 0.000, highlighting their combined impact on employee performance. These findings emphasize the critical role of leadership, motivation, and discipline in enhancing employee outcomes. To improve performance, it is recommended that the Secretariat adopt participative leadership, implement performance-based motivational strategies, and enforce clear disciplinary policies. These measures can foster a supportive work environment, drive organizational success, and enable the Secretariat to effectively fill its administrative and technical support roles.

Abstract

Budget efficiency is crucial for the financial sustainability and service quality of public healthcare institutions. This study examines the influence of employee satisfaction on budget efficiency performance in the Financial Department of Gunung Jati Regional Hospital, Cirebon City, with work motivation as an intervening variable. Utilizing an explanatory research design, data were collected from 42 financial department employees through questionnaires, employing a 5-point Likert scale. The study also incorporated secondary financial data to strengthen the analysis. Multiple regression and path analysis, conducted using SPSS and AMOS software, revealed a significant positive relationship between employee satisfaction and budget efficiency performance, with work motivation playing a mediating role. Findings indicate that higher employee satisfaction enhances work motivation, which in turn improves budget efficiency. These results highlight the importance of implementing policies that enhance job satisfaction and motivation, such as optimizing benefits, career development programs, and performance-based incentives. The study contributes to the existing literature on financial and human resource management in public healthcare settings and provides practical recommendations for improving budget performance at regional hospitals in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study employed a multifaceted approach to map and quantify the above-ground carbon (AGC) content of mangrove forests using multispectral data analysis. The scoring method involved assigning values to various parameters based on their landscape characteristics. The research was conducted at beach locations in South Lembar Village and Lembar Village. Fieldwork took place in mangrove areas from July to August 2024. Sampling locations were determined using a purposive sampling method, in which samples were selected based on specific landscape criteria. The study incorporated both primary and secondary data sources. Primary data were collected through in-situ measurements and sampling, while secondary data were obtained from literature reviews and relevant institutional databases. The Random Forest (RF) classification method demonstrated high efficacy in identifying mangrove ecosystems, achieving an overall accuracy (OA) of 0.968 and a Kappa coefficient of 0.918. These metrics indicate strong agreement between the classification results and ground truth data. The analysis revealed that mangrove ecosystems covered approximately 50.08 hectares in the study area, indicating significant potential for ecotourism development, particularly for trekking routes. This study contributes to the understanding of mangrove ecosystem distribution and its potential for sustainable tourism development, particularly as climate change adaptation initiatives. The high accuracy of the mapping results provides a reliable basis for informed decision-making in environmental management and ecotourism planning. Further studies may be needed to assess the carrying capacity of these ecosystems and to develop strategies for their conservation alongside sustainable tourism practices. The mangrove area still requires overall landscape development, with assessment results showing an average score of 6.3, indicating moderate conditions and a need for improvement.
