Abstract

Background: An epidemiological study conducted in two kindergartens located in Ketabang and Embong Kaliasin reported that 63% of kindergarteners were affected by dental caries. The study also found that only 8% of them received dental treatment. The remaining 92% of kindergarteners never had dental treatment due to uncovered health insurance, unavailability of parents during working days and hours, mother's education level, mother's medical history, paternal support in dental and oral health care. Promotive, preventive, and referral efforts for dental and oral health can be done by empowering UKGS teachers in the kindergarten concerned and in collaboration with local public health center routine 6-month dental check-up. Purpose: To promote dental health education for children and forming the habit of visiting dentist for dental check-up. Methods: This program was intended to support UKGS teachers' roles and encourage the mother to admit their children for a dental check-up. The dental check-up results of Dharma Putra kindergarteners were then recorded to the report. The report consisted of the prioritized tooth to treat, treated tooth, and treatment fee. Results: The dentists have recorded the examination results on the report sheet and informed the parents about their children's dental and oral health status. The UKGS teacher then scheduled follow-up appointment per group per week for dental treatment. 3 out of 3 kindergarteners attended the follow-up appointment. Conclusion: This program is effective to promote children to come to dentist.

Abstract

Background: A preliminary epidemiological study of three kindergartens in Embong Kaliasin Village under Ketabang Public Health Center, Surabaya coverage revealed that 63% of the kindergarteners have dental caries. The study also found that only 8% of them received dental treatment. The remaining 92% of kindergarteners never had dental treatment because uncovered health insurance, unavailability of parents during working days and hours, mother's education level, mother's medical history, paternal support in dental and oral health care. Promotive, preventive, and referral efforts can be achieved by empowering health cadres. The empowerment program addressed maternal reluctance in participating "KESGILUT” program by providing the "AWAS” educational book. Purpose: We expect that the program could increase mothers' knowledge levels on dental and oral health as well as encourage them to participate in child dental and oralhealth care. Methods: The health education method was parental mentoring with a group approach. The parents of Manguni kindergarteners receiving the "AWAS” educational book as a group. The media of the program was the "AWAS” educational book. It covered information about dental and oral health, including primary and secondary dentition, stages of dental caries, correct tooth brushing, nutritious food for teeth, and preventing dental caries. The evaluation method of this program is using pre-post test analysis. Results: There is an increasement in post test score (68%) to post-test score (83%). Conclusion: This program is effective to increase mother's knowledge about dental and oral health.

Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19 membawa perubahan signifikan dalam gaya hidup masyarakat, termasuk peningkatan kesadaran terhadap kesehatan. Medical Check-Up (MCU) sebagai bagian dari pemeriksaan kesehatan rutin memiliki peran penting dalam deteksi dini penyakit dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup, sekaligus sebagai potensi pendapatan rumah sakit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi pemasaran layanan MCU di rumah sakit di Indonesia pada era pasca-pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode scoping review berdasarkan panduan PRISMA. Data dikumpulkan dari tiga basis data (Google Scholar, Portal Garuda, PubMed) menggunakan kata kunci "medical check-up", "rumah sakit", dan "pemasaran". Kriteria inklusi mencakup penelitian primer, dilakukan di Indonesia, dan dipublikasikan sejak tahun 2022. Dari 370 artikel awal, enam studi memenuhi kriteria dan dianalisis secara mendalam. Strategi pemasaran berbasis media sosial efektif meningkatkan brand awareness dan niat menggunakan layanan MCU. Namun, tantangan seperti keterbatasan infrastruktur dan sumber daya manusia menjadi kendala utama dalam pengembangan layanan MCU di beberapa rumah sakit. Penerapan bauran pemasaran 7P (produk, harga, tempat, promosi, orang, bukti fisik, proses) dinilai relevan untuk meningkatkan utilisasi layanan. Selain itu, peningkatan kualitas layanan berkontribusi pada kepuasan pasien yang selanjutnya meningkatkan niat untuk melakukan MCU. Strategi pemasaran berbasis teknologi, peningkatan kualitas layanan, dan edukasi kesehatan menjadi kunci utama dalam mengoptimalkan layanan MCU. Rumah sakit perlu berinvestasi pada infrastruktur dan SDM untuk memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat yang terus berkembang.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Rekam Medis Elektronik (RME) di Indonesia saat ini merupakan kewajiban yang harus dipenuhi oleh Rumah Sakit (RS). Manfaat dari RME adalah sebagai sarana untuk meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan. Penerapan RME tidak hanya memberikan manfaat, namun juga tantangan dalam perencanaan dan prosesnya agar dapat memberikan hasil yang optimal. Tujuan Penelitian: Menganalisa dan mengidentifikasi tantangan dalam pemanfaatan RME terkait peningkatan kualitas pelayanan di RS. Metode Penelitian: Strategi pencarian literatur dalam peneliatain ini berdasarkan pada panduan Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) menggunakan database PubMed dan Cochrane dengan kata kunci yang relevan. Hasil: Berdasarkan literatur yang memenuhi kriteria penelitian, semua artikel menyebutkan bahwa implementasi RME dapat memberikan manfaat dalam peningkatan kualitas pelayanan, diantaranya dalam hal efisiensi dan efektivitas waktu pelayanan karena kemudahan dalam mengakses data pasien, penurunan angka mortalitas pasien rawat inap, penurunan angka risiko readmisi pasien, dan penurunan angka mortalitas 48 jam pasca operasi. Beberapa masalah yang sering dihadapi, di antaranya dukungan yang rendah dari tenaga kesehatan pemberi pelayanan, tidak terpenuhinya sarana dan prasarana sistem TI penunjang RME, buruknya sistem keamanan data, dan tidak efisien biaya dalam implementasi RME. Kesimpulan: Implementasi RME di RS memiliki banyak keuntungan dalam efisiensi pelayanan, namun hal tersebut memiliki banyak persyaratan yang harus terpenuhi agar sistem RME dapat berjalan dengan optimal.
