Abstract

Waveguide merupakan suatu alat yang berbentuk menyerupai selongsong persegi ataupun melingkar yang terbuat dari bahan konduktor tunggal. Alat tersebut dapat disisipi dielektrik untuk mengatur frekuensi tertentu atau konverter untuk mengubah mode dari gelombang yang digunakan. Penelitian ini melakukan implementasi konverter mode TE10 ke mode TMmn pada rectangular waveguide dan menggamati karakteristik dari vektor gelombang konverter serta parameter S11 dan S21. Proses pengujian dilakukan dengan mencoba beberapa rancangan dan membandingkan hasilnya, kemudian mengimplementasikannya pada alat. Simulasi dilakukan untuk mendapatkan hasil terbaik. Berdasarkan analisis dari proses simulasi menggunakan software ansoft HFSS, hasil terbaik didapatkan pada konverter mode TMmn parameter dengan rancangan double-trench belah ketupat dan frekuensi cut off 6.4 GHz. Nilai return loss sebesar -14.289 dB dan insertion loss sebesar -0.281 dB. Sedangkan pada rancangan konverter double-trench kembar didapatkan hasil frekuensi cut off sebesar 9.2 GHz dengan nilai return loss -12.878 dB dan nilai insertion loss -0.467 dB. Pada saat pengujian alat yang dilakukan menggunakan Vector Network Analyzer (VNA), frekuensi cut-off yang diperoleh adalah sebesar 7.03 GHz dengan return loss -12.68 dB, dan insertion loss -6.80 dB.

Abstract

Virus Covid-19 berasal dari Kota Wuhan di China. Penularannya sangat cepat dan pesat ke berbagai belahan dunia termasuk di Indonesia. Penelitian ini membahas tentang klasterisasi sumber penyebaran virus covid-19 dengan metoda k-means menggunakan software WEKA untuk Kota Cimahi dan Kab Bandung Barat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu memperoleh informasi tentang 5 klaster sumber penyebaran virus Covid-19, yaitu klaster 0 (kantor), klaster 1 (tempat makan), klaster 2 (rumah), klaster 3 (perbelanjaan), dan klaster 4 (transportasi umum) selama bulan Mei sampai Juli 2020 untuk Kota Cimahi dan Kab Bandung Barat. Hasil dapat disimpulkan pada klaster 0 tertinggi dari Kab. Bandung Barat dengan rata-rata 0,05%, untuk klaster 1 dampak covid-19 tertinggi dari Kab. Bandung Barat dengan rata-rata 0,55%, untuk klaster 2 dengan rata-rata 0,02%, untuk klaster 3 dampak covid-19 tertinggi dari Kab. Bandung Barat dengan rata-rata 0,04%, untuk klaster 4 dampak covid-19 tertinggi dari Kota Cimahi dengan rata-rata 0,79%.

Abstract

Salah satu permasalahan jaringan internet di pedesaan adalah sulitnya menyambungkan internet yang berbasis kabel dikarenakan jarak terlalu jauh, jaringan internet berbasis nirkabel/wireless dapat menjadi solusi alternatif dari permasalahan tersebut, oleh karena itu dilakukan penelitian analisis perhitungan Power Link Budget pada perencanaan jaringan internet wireless outdoor Desa Kutanagara Garut. Pengujian dilakukan metode perhitungan Power Link Budget dan simulasi menggunakan aplikasi ISP Design Center Ubiquiti dengan perangkat pemancar LiteAP GPS dan perangkat penerima NanoBeam 5AC. Perencanaan jaringan dibuat menggunakan sistem Point to Point (PTP) pada pita frekuensi 5725 MHz tepatnya di 5725 MHz Sub Band NII-3. Parameter yang diuji adalah SOM (EIRP, margin signal), free space loss (FSL), fresnel zone clearance (FZC), daerah cakupan, kekuatan sinyal yang didapat dan kapasitas kecepatan internet. Hasil dari perhitungan dan konfigurasi menunjukan nilai EIRP pengirim 36 dBm, EIRP penerima 36 dbm, bandwidth maksimum 20 MHz, Fresnel zone clearance 3,4 m dan kekuatan sinyal yang diterima -49 dBm. Hasil tersebut sudah memenuhi standar yang ditetapkan oleh KOMINFO dan dapat dibuat rancangan jaringannya. Hasil dari simulasi jaringan menunjukan rancangan jaringan internet sudah mencakup seluruh daerah Desa Kutanagara Garut dengan perkiraan sinyal yang didapat adalah -49 dBm, dengan margin sinyal sebesar 46,2 dB yang sudah memenuhi standar dari TIPHON dengan klasifikasi jaringan termasuk dalam kategori outstanding (sangat bagus) dan memiliki kapasitas maksimum internet 147 Mbps terdiri dari 74 Mbps kecepatan download dan 74 Mbps kecepatan upload

Abstract

The need for information exchange that encourages the development of telecommunications technology that can be a medium for delivering information to connect various places on the earth's surface or called terrestrial telecommunications. In wireless communication, the use of radio waves as a medium for propagation of information is considered more effective than physical media such as cables. A high radio frequency value such as X-Band will result in a smaller dimensional device. The use of microstrip type antennas has advantages in terms of small dimensions, inexpensive fabrication, and simple design but has low gain. Therefore, the design of a microstrip antenna with the array method becomes a solution that can be used in applications in terrestrial telecommunications. In this research, a microstrip antenna with a biquad-shaped patch has been designed and realized with a 4×1 array method that operates in the X-Band frequency band. This antenna works at a frequency of 11.96 GHz with a return loss of -23.51 dB and a VSWR of 1.13.

Abstract

In telecommunications, filters are devices that play an important role in a telecommunications system. One of them is a bandpass filter that can pass signals with a passband frequency and cut off the stopband frequency. In the process, various kinds of signal interference will be found that can interfere with the quality of electromagnetic waves. This research will design and realize a microstrip bandpass filter that can pass the 6 GHz frequency with a minimum bandwidth of ? 100 MHz for C-Band Radar applications. This filter is designed using a square open loop resonator which will be simulated using the CST studio suite 2019 which will be realized using a 4-epoxy FR substrate. In this study the design of a microstrip bandpass filter was carried out with three stages of design simulation to determine the characteristics of the square open loop resonator, split ring resonator, and defected ground structure design. Based on the results of the final design of the microstrip bandpass filter design, the simulation results obtained work at a resonant frequency of 6 GHz with a return loss value of -32.098 dB, an insertion loss value of -0.40148 dB and a bandwidth of 97.3 MHz. The results of bandpass filter fabrication measurements were obtained at a resonant frequency of 6 GHz, the results obtained were in accordance with the required specifications with a return loss of -29.09 dB, an insertion loss of -2.75 dB with a bandwidth of 485.4 MHz.

Abstract

One of the services provided by Kopi Janji Jiwa Cijerah is the internet, therefore research is conducted aimed at testing and improving the quality of the internet network WiFi.ID at the Kopi Janji Jiwa Cijerah place based on Quality of Service (QoS) parameters with the Drive Test method. The test was conducted by The Drive method using Wireshark software for ± 6 hours within 7 days at 12.00-18.00 WIB at Kopi Janji Jiwa Cijerah by utilizing the services provided on the spot that is WiFi.ID where the first test at access point 2,4 GHz type TP-LINK CPE205 2,4 GHz then the second test after optimization using Access Point 5 GHz tent type 06 P2P 5 GHz. Quality of Service (QoS) parameters tested and analyzed consist of delay, throughput, jitter and packet loss with tiphon standards that are the reference classification. The results in the first test resulted in an index of average QoS parameters based on the TIPHON standard of 3.575 and in the second test that after optimization got an average value index from the QoS parameter based on the TIPHON standard of 3,925, based on the value index there was an improvement in the quality of the network, then the quality of the internet network WiFi.ID in Kopi Janji Jiwa Cijerah got a Good classification and approached Very Good.

Abstract

MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) Antenna Technology improves wireless network performance by allowing the use of multiple transmit and receive antennas simultaneously. MIMO antennas use antenna elements in an array, such as circular microstrip antennas, to increase signal throughput and reliability. This research simulates and develops a circular microstrip antenna into a 1×4 axe MIMO with array, operating at 2.4 GHz. The simulation shows return loss (S11) -60.913 dB, insertion loss -50.439 dB, VSWR 1.001, bandwidth 116.3 MHz, and gain 5.709 dBi. The results of fabrication and measurement achieve return loss (S11) -61.69 dB, insertion loss -43.16 dB, VSWR 1.00, bandwidth 137.2 MHz at a frequency of 2.4260 GHz. Even though there is a frequency shift of 260 MHz between the simulation and measurement results, the design of this antenna is successful according to the desired specifications.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan merancang Unified Threat Management (UTM) berbasis aplikasi open-source yang mampu melakukan Threat Mitigation dan menerapkan manajemen trafik pada jaringan TCP/IP. Metoda Threat Mitigation menggunakan SNORT sebagai Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) untuk melakukan tindakan terhadap ancaman serta melakukan monitoring trafik yang diintegrasikan dengan aplikasi Splunk sebagai Security Information and Event Management (SIEM). Metoda Traffic Policy menggunakan SQUID sebagai Proxy untuk melakukan manajemen trafik. Pengujian perfomansi jaringan dilakukan dengan mengukur parameter Quality of Service (QOS) terlebih dahulu pada setiap perangkat akses untuk melihat performansi jaringan saat terjadi serangan sebelum dan sesudah implementasi UTM. Serangan Distributed Denial of Service (DDOS) berupa Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) Flood dan SYN Flood. Setelah melakukan simulasi serangan DDOS selama 5 menit, Threat Mitigation mampu melakukan drop terhadap paket yang berasal dari serangan DDOS sebanyak 232409 paket dengan nilai throughput maksimum 1,823 Mbps, lebih baik dari throughput yang dihasilkan serangan DDOS sebelum implementasi UTM yaitu 869 Mbps. Hasil indeks parameter QOS setiap perangkat akses jaringan memiliki nilai indeks 4, lebih baik dari indeks parameter QOS sebelum implementasi UTM yaitu 2,843. Traffic Policy pada UTM mampu melakukan efisiensi bandwidth sebesar 4,66% atau 943,6645 MB dari total volume cache 20,23 GB, dengan menerapkan web cache untuk akses Hyper Text Transfer Proctocol (HTTP) dan limitasi throughput sebesar 300 KB pada ekstensi file image, audio, video dan executeable berukuran diatas 20 MB.   Abstract This final project aims to design Unified Threat Management (UTM) based on open-source application that capable to mitigate threat and implement traffic management on TCP/IP network. Threat Mitigation method uses SNORT as Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) and integrated with Splunk as Security Information and Event Management (SIEM). Traffic Policy method use SQUID as Proxy to implement traffic management. Network performance testing will be carried out by measuring the QOS parameters on each access device to be able to see network performance when an attack occurs before and after UTM implementation. The Denial Distributed of Service attacks was simulated with Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) Flood and SYN Flood. After simulating DDOS attack for 5 minutes, Threat Mitigation was able to drop 232409 packet that originating from DDOS attack with a maximum throughput value 1.823 Mbps, was better before implementation of UTM which is 869 Mbps. The result of the QOS index parameters for each access device has an index value is 4, was better than before implementation of UTM, which is 2.843. Traffic Policy was able to perform bandwidth efficiency of 4.66% or 943.6645 MB from a total cache volume of 20.23 GB, by implementing web cache for Hyper Text Transfer Protocol (HTTP) access and limiting throughput of 300 KB of image, audio, video and executable file size above 20 MB.

Abstract

Utilizing of 5G technology has become a major focus in the development of more advanced and efficient telecommunications networks. In this context, 5G coverage prediction becomes an important aspect in network planning to ensure optimal user experience. In this study, we explore the use of Random Forest algorithm to predict 5G coverage, with special emphasis on the hyperparameter optimization process to improve model performance. We conduct experiments with various hyperparameter combinations, including 'max_depth', 'max_features', 'min_samples_leaf', 'min_samples_split', and 'n_estimators', using hyperparameter optimization techniques. The results show that by paying attention to the optimal combination of hyperparameters, we managed to significantly improve the performance of the model. The optimized model produces a Minimum Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) of 0.6, which is much better than the Random Forest model without hyperparameter optimization which has an RMSE of 1.14. The result of this study confirms the importance of the hyperparameter optimization process in improving the accuracy and consistency of the Random Forest model for 5G coverage prediction. The results have important implications in supporting the development of a successful 5G network infrastructure in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of literacy-based learning strategies on students’ critical thinking skills at SMA Muhammadiyah 01 Medan. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design was employed. The population consisted of all eleventh-grade students, and the sample was selected purposively. Data were collected through critical thinking tests administered before and after the implementation of the treatment. The data analysis revealed a significant improvement in students' critical thinking skills following the application of the literacy-based learning strategy. These findings indicate that literacy-based learning strategies are effective in fostering students’ critical thinking by encouraging deep reading, analytical thinking, and the development of logical and reflective arguments.
