The respondents consisted of 155 students in nursing, public health, midwifery, and medical record students. Students were grouped into interprofessional teams for two days and participated in IPE training consisting of lectures and small group discussions. The training is done online using the zoom meeting app. At the beginning of the first session, they completed a pre-test survey with demographic items and measures of their perception of interprofessional education to work as a team. They completed a post-test with the same measures after the end of the session. 155 students completed both the pre-test and post-test survey. The student's perception before taking ipe training is 88.38 % good to be 100% good. This study demonstrated that a short series of IPE training experiences resulted in improved perceptions of interprofessional practice.

Abstract

Adolescence is known as puberty, marked by the arrival of the first menstruation (menarche) in young women. Some students who experience menarche feel anxious, confused, sad, tremble, become uncaring, or feel proud of themselves for becoming adults. Menarche causes anxiety in young women due to a lack of information and understanding about it. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between mother's education and mother’s support, and anxiety levels in adolescents during menarche. This descriptive correlational research used a retrospective approach. The population in this study consisted of 154 female students who had experienced menarche, and the sample included 61 students. The results show that mother’s support are related to anxiety levels during menarche. In conclusion, a teenager's readiness to face menarche is influenced by the mother's education, and parental support during menarche helps teenagers understand physiological changes, enabling them to anticipate and overcome anxiety about menarche.

Abstract

Abstract

Background: Adolescent reproductive health remains a major public health concern, particularly in developing regions. This study aimed to evaluate a digital, family-centered reproductive health education intervention to improve adolescents’ knowledge, attitudes, and family involvement. Methods: A quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design was conducted in Cirebon, Indonesia, involving 120 adolescents. Variables included knowledge, attitudes, and family involvement. Instruments were validated questionnaires. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, paired t-tests, ANCOVA, and multiple linear regression. Effect sizes were reported using Cohen’s d and η². Results: The intervention group (62.5% female, mean age 15.8 ± 1.2 years) showed significant improvements: knowledge (ΔM = +12.4, p < 0.001, d = 1.45), attitude (ΔM = +9.2, p < 0.001, d = 1.32), and family involvement (ΔM = +14.2, p < 0.001, d = 1.61). ANCOVA indicated significant between-group differences (p < 0.001) with large effect sizes (η² = 0.170–0.187). Conclusion: A digital, family-centered education model effectively enhances adolescent reproductive health outcomes and offers a scalable intervention framework.

Abstract

Depression is a common psychological complication among patients with multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB), affecting treatment adherence and recovery outcomes. Identifying the determinants of depression in this population is essential for developing comprehensive care strategies. This cross-sectional study was conducted among 28 MDR-TB patients at RSUD Waled. Data on demographic, clinical, and psychosocial variables were collected through structured questionnaires. Depression was assessed using a standardized screening tool. Bivariate analysis was performed using chi-square tests, followed by multivariate logistic regression to identify independent predictors of depression. The bivariate analysis showed no significant association between age (p=0.063), gender (p=0.07), income (p=0.065), or educational attainment (p=0.63) with depression, indicating that these demographic and socioeconomic factors did not influence depressive outcomes. In contrast, comorbidities (p<0.001), duration of illness (p=0.011), and community stigma (p<0.001) were significantly associated with depression. Respondents with comorbidities, longer illness duration, and negative community stigma were markedly more likely to experience depression, suggesting that clinical and psychosocial factors are stronger determinants than demographic variables. Comorbidities, longer illness duration, and community stigma were significantly related to depressive outcomes. Future research with larger and more diverse populations is needed to validate these findings and explore contextual factors influencing depression in MDR-TB patients.

Abstract

Body shaming is a pervasive issue with significant psychological consequences, particularly among adolescents. As adolescents undergo various physical and emotional changes, the pressures of social comparison and body image often lead to negative impacts on their self-concept. This study explores the relationship between body shaming and self-concept among adolescents in Cirebon, Indonesia. Methods:A cross-sectional design was used in this study, This study used total sampling, involving 180 students aged 12–16 years. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire that assessed participants' experiences with body shaming and their self concept, including self-esteem, self-identity, and physical appearance satisfaction. The questionnaire had previously undergone validity and reliability testing in a different school setting to ensure its accuracy and consistency. The analysis was conducted using Pearson’s correlation and regression analysis to examine the relationship between body shaming and self-concept.Results: The findings indicate a significant negative correlation between body shaming experiences and self-concept. As body shaming experiences increased, adolescents reported lower levels of self-esteem, self-identity, and satisfaction with their physical appearance. These results highlight the psychological toll of body shaming and its negative influence on adolescent self-concept.Conclusion:This study provides strong evidence that body shaming negatively impacts adolescents’ self-concept. These findings underscore the importance of addressing body shaming through interventions aimed at fostering self-acceptance, body positivity, and resilience among adolescents, particularly within school settings.
