Abstract

Teacher performance is an activity in learning which is expected to be able to improve the quality and relevance of education. In the implementation of school, performance is influenced by many factors and interrelated for example work motivation, work discipline, and teacher professional attitude. This research aims to analyze the relationship between work motivation, teachers' professional attitude, discipline, and performance. Data were obtained from 173 elementary school teachers at the district of South Labuan Amas, through questionnaires and analyzed using the path analysis. The result of this research shows that there is a strong relationship between work motivation with teacher professional attitude, performance, and discipline. There is a strong relationship between work motivation with the teacher's performance, discipline, and professional attitude. Furthermore, there is a weak relation between work discipline and the teacher's professional attitude, discipline, and attitude. Advice this research to increase the factors that affect the teacher performance, the school should reward teachers for performance.

Abstract

The demand for knowledge plays a major role in the reading and writing ability of individuals towards an advanced generation. This study aims to describe the planning, organization, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up of literacy culture at SDN SN Sungai Miai 5 and 7 (National Standardized State Elementary Schools) in Banjarmasin. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation techniques, with its analysis carried out qualitatively. The results show that both schools have a good literacy culture and work together with residents to achieve the desired goals. It also shows a big influence on the achievements generated by the schools. It is hoped that the results of this study is used as material for consideration in implementing literacy culture development management in other schools.

Abstract

The achievement associated with educational goals is inseparable from a conducive school environment that helps to create a feeling of comfort in educational institutions. This study aimed to determine the role of principal leadership, religious habituation programs, character education, and work climate in Madrasah Tsanawiyah, Banjarbaru City. This was a quantitative study that utilized correlational techniques through path analysis with a total sample of 173 people. Data were collected by using questionnaires that have met the validity and reliability test requirements, with path analysis and multiple regression methods used to test the hypotheses. The results showed that the leadership role of school principals, the religious habituation program, character education, and work climate in madrassas were of high classification. This led to the creation of leadership that was able to advance schools with good characters.
