Abstract

Coconut shell is one of the potential biomass as carbon sources. Coconut shell is converted to charcoal through the carbonization process. The potential of charcoal from coconut shells can be synthesized into graphene. Graphene is a derivative of one of the carbon allotropes, namely graphite, where carbon is in the form of thin plates with sp2 orbitals arranged hexagonally. The process of making graphene which is coconut shell dried in the sun then pyrolysis into charcoal then mixed with activated carbon as a reducing agent at 600 ° C for 1 hour to produce graphene. The graphene produced is characterized by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscope-Energy Dispersive X-Ray (SEM-EDX). The results by XRD analysis showed the resulting peaks were not sharp and slightly widened at the diffraction peaks at 24 ° and 44 °. The results of SEM-EDX analysis at 4000x magnification show the surface size and shape of the structure that is smaller, thinner and reduced buildup on the graphene structure. graphene that has been successfully synthesized was tested on a coin battery. The coin battery cathode which was replaced with graphene succeeded in turning on the light.

Abstract

Methamphetamine or N-methyl-alpha-methyl phenethyl amine is a powerful central nervous system stimulant drug that has an addictive effect when consumed. The number of cases of drug abuse in Indonesia in the last year is most dominated by methamphetamine so that an accurate analysis is needed to detect these compounds. Qualitative rapid detection can be done with marquis reagents which will produce a yellowish green if it is positive for consuming methamphetamine. Student urine samples were extracted with chloroform to separate to form two layers. The top layer filtrate was tested by Marquis reagents. From the test results found no positive Methamphentamine in the urine of class XI IPA students.

Abstract

This Research has been done in one of Junior and Senior High Schools of Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo by using water samples at the site for iron absorption by electrolysis method using aluminum electrode. By using visible spectrophotometer and standard solution of FeCl3.6H2O series can be obtained iron content before eletrolisis, ie 1 = 2.5548 mg / L and sample 2 = 1.4458 mg / L. After electrolysis and measured iron content using visible spectrophotometry and standard solution of FeCl3.6H2O series, iron absorption results obtained in sample 1 were 44.90% and in sample 2 were 21.84%.

Abstract

This study used a modified Hummer method to synthesize Graphene and nitrogen dopant to produce N-Graphene. Cu/N-Graphene and Ni/N-Graphene electrodes were each made using the impregnation method. Conductivity analysis of graphene, N-graphene, Cu/N-Graphene, and Ni/N-Graphene was carried out using a multimeter. The conductivity data of Cu/N-Graphene (83.16 µS/cm) and Ni/N-Graphene (85.67 µS/cm) produced were higher than commercial battery anodes (26 µS/cm). These data prove that N-graphene can improve the performance of Cu/N-Graphene and Ni/N-Graphene on primary battery anodes and can be used as an alternative anode on primary battery anodes.

Abstract

This study aims to accelerate the dormancy breaking of soursop seeds (Annona muricata L.) with different csoncentrations of H2SO4 and Gibberellin. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (RAL) factorial. This study used two factors. The first factor is the concentration of H2SO4 consisting of 4 levels, namely: A0 = Control (No Treatment), A1 = H2SO4 15% (10 minutes), A2 = H2SO4 30% (10 minutes), and A3 = H2SO4 45% (10 minutes). The second factor is the concentration of Gibberellin (GA3), consisting of 3 levels, namely: G1 = 200 ppm (12 hours), G2 = 300 ppm (12 hours), and G3 = 400 ppm (12 hours)—data analysis was done using variance analysis and Duncan's test. The results showed that the concentration of H2SO4 significantly affected germination power and germination age. Gibberellin concentration had a significant effect on germination power and germination age. The interaction of H2SO4 concentration and Gibberellin concentration had no significant effect on germination power or germination age.

Abstract

Hydrogel technology can be used as a solution for indoor growing media. Hydrogel is a three-dimensional polymer network with cross-linked hydrophilic polymers, which are capable of swelling or storing water and physiological solutions up to thousands of times their dry weight, and are not easily soluble. To increase knowledge about ornamental plant cultivation using hydrogel media, a service was carried out by using partners at the Madrasah Aliyah Swasta Muhammadiyah Sidomulyo. This service aims to provide solutions to partners in the form of alternative hydrogel-based planting media made from alginate that are environmentally friendly which can be used as moisture and nutrient control agents. This goal is achieved through outreach activities, training, and the application of alternative planting media on ornamental plants. The target of the results to be achieved is to increase the economic value of hydrogels and to foster the entrepreneurial spirit of the students of Madrasah Aliyah Swasta Muhammadiyah Sidomulyo.

Abstract

Nowadays, most of human activities are related to the use of technology. The invention of various innovative ideas that simplify human life is essential. One of the uses advancement technologies can applied in agricultural field, especially for irrigation processes since it becomes the critical step in agricultural activity since it ensures that plants receive an adequate water. Due to the importance of irrigation, this community service activity aimed to provide information on how to build a solar pump for irrigation purposes and implement an innovative solar water pump with automatic water level control to improve the efficiency of irrigation of rice fields in Bekiung Village. The system is designed using solar panels as the main energy source, minimizing dependence on conventional electricity and fossil fuels. With the integration of water level sensor and automatic control system, the pump is able to adjust the water supply in real-time based on the actual needs of rice plants. Field tests show that the system is able to provide water consistently and efficiently, reducing water and energy wastage. The implementation of this technology not only improves irrigation efficiency, but also supports environmentally friendly sustainable agriculture. The results of this study are expected to serve as a model for other villages facing similar challenges in irrigation water management.

Abstract

This study aimed to formulate and evaluate an NPK compound fertilizer with a target ratio of 10:6:20 to enhance green mustard (Brassica juncea) productivity. At CV Tabita Jaya, standardized production methods were used to prepare the fertilizer by mixing Urea, triple superphosphate, and potassium chloride, with analytical confirmation of the nutrient content. Results showed nitrogen (N) content of 10.8%, phosphorus (P₂O₅) at 6.5%, and potassium (K₂O) at 20.8%, closely aligning with the target formulation. Moisture content was low at 2.48%, ensuring product stability and ease of application. Analytical techniques employed included Kjeldahl titrimetry for nitrogen, molybdate-vanadate spectrophotometry for phosphorus, and flame photometry for potassium. These methods demonstrated high reliability, with parameters such as repeatability, reproducibility, and recovery meeting international standards. The fertilizer is expected to support green mustard growth by enhancing critical metrics, including plant height, leaf number, and biomass accumulation. The study highlights the agronomic benefits of balanced NPK fertilization for green mustard, emphasizing enhanced nutrient absorption and sustainable agricultural practices. Furthermore, integrating this fertilizer with organic amendments may help mitigate potential soil degradation associated with prolonged use of inorganic fertilizers. The findings highlight the potential of precision-formulated fertilizers to enhance crop productivity while promoting environmental sustainability.
