Abstract

The study is focused on exploring the Merdeka Curriculum implementation at the pilot Islamic elementary schools in Semarang, Indonesia. It specifically examines aspects such as lesson planning, lesson implementation, P5RA implementation, assessment planning, and assessment implementation. The research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative method, gathering data through interviews, field observations, and documentation. The findings revealed that while the schools had incorporated the Merdeka Curriculum teaching module into their lesson planning, there were limitations regarding the variety of learning models and the integration of the Pancasila and Rahmatan Lil Alamin student profiles. Although learning methods varied, monotonous face-to-face teaching remained predominant. Implementing P5RA was effective, mainly through learning-based projects that enhanced student engagement. While the schools utilized various assessment techniques, there was room for improvement in fully integrating 21st-century skills. The assessment process included routine formative and summative assessments but lacked full integration of higher-order thinking skills (HOTS)-based assessment. Based on these findings, the study suggests the need for additional support and training for teachers and adapting learning modules to facilitate student-centered learning better.

Abstract

This research highlights the importance of strengthening religious moderation in Islamic education as an effort to maintain social harmony within a pluralistic society. The aim of the study is to analyze the role of the Nusantara Cinta Rasul Islamic Study Assembly at Ribath Garut Islamic Boarding School in developing Islamic education based on religious moderation. The object of the research is the Nusantara Cinta Rasul Assembly and the environment of the Ribath Garut Boarding School. This study employs a field research method with a qualitative descriptive approach. The data sources consist of primary data in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation, as well as secondary data from relevant literature. Data analysis was carried out interactively through the process of reduction, presentation, and inductive conclusion drawing. The results show that the Nusantara Cinta Rasul Assembly and the Ribath Garut Boarding School have successfully integrated the values of religious moderation into the curriculum and inclusive, dialogical teaching methods. Various programs such as religious studies, inter-organizational forums, and social activities have served as effective means to instill attitudes of tolerance, justice, and respect for differences. Despite facing challenges such as polarization and limited resources, both institutions remain consistent in innovating and collaborating to create a harmonious and moderate Islamic educational environment.

Abstract

Inter religious communication is a process of exchanging information and ideas between followers of different religions with the aim of promoting understanding, tolerance, and cooperation. In interfaith communication, it is important to avoid discussions that may lead to conflicts. Many examples of interfaith communication have been implemented, one of which can be seen in the relationship between Buddhism,Confucianism, and Taoism at the Eng An Kiong Temple in Malang City. Despite their different teachings, the relationship between these three beliefs is very good, which prevents any conflicts from happening. The relationship between these three beliefs has been established for quite some time and has never experienced any internal or external conflicts. The Islamic perspective on the relationship between these three beliefs can be seen from the perspective of interfaith tolerance. Islam teaches to respect the beliefs and differences of others. Interfaith tolerance is crucial in creating peace. Additionally, interfaith communication also has a positive impact on strengthening social relationships among followers of different religions. Through open and respectful dialogue, followers of different religions can learn to understand and accept their differences, thus creating a harmonious and peaceful environment among diverse communities.

Abstract

This article aims to describe and analyze the implementation of moderate Islamic values in the formation of moderate character of students at SMP Negeri 2 Gresik. This research is qualitative in nature with the type of case study research and uses the single case study method. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing. The implementation of moderate Islamic values in the formation of moderate character of students at SMP Negeri 2 Gresik are: 1) Moderate Islamic values are applied in various school activities, such as the habituation of praying before and after learning and the routine of Dzuhur prayer in congregation. In addition, the concept of religious moderation is also realized through the Religious Moderation School program, which includes commemoration of religious holidays, introduction to religious diversity, religious literacy, and anti-bullying campaigns. All of these activities aim to shape students' characters to have a tolerant attitude towards others and avoid all forms of discrimination. 2) SMP Negeri 2 Gresik prioritizes moderate Islamic values, especially Tasamuh (tolerance) and I'tidal (justice), which are reflected in the education process and school activities. These two values become the main principles in every school activity and learning process. The application of these values can be seen in the character of students who show tolerance, justice, balance, love for peace, responsibility, democracy, free speech, and uphold a sense of brotherhood.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi implementasi moderasi beragama dalam sistem pendidikan di Pondok Pesantren Kauman Lasem, Rembang. Metode kualitatif digunakan dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis tematik (thematic analysis). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prinsip-prinsip moderasi beragama seperti toleransi, kerukunan, penghargaan terhadap perbedaan, dan kepedulian sosial telah diterapkan secara nyata dalam kurikulum dan aktivitas harian pesantren. Interaksi positif dengan masyarakat Tionghoa menjadi indikator utama keberhasilan moderasi tersebut, selain itu, hubungan harmonis antara komunitas pesantren dan masyarakat Tionghoa menjadi bukti nyata penerapan mederasi beragama dalam ranah pendidikan. Kesimpulan menyebutkan bahwa pesantren dapat menjadi model lembaga pendidikan yang mampu menjembatani nilai-nilai keislaman dengan semangat kebhinekaan. Kata kunci: Moderasi beragama, pendidikan inklusif, pesantren, multikulturalisme, analisis tematik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan survei. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola perhatian dan strategi yang digunakan orang tua dalam mendampingi anak belajar di rumah. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah perhatian orang tua sangat dibutuhkan bagi anak untuk mencapai prestasi belajar. Semakin tinggi perhatian orang tua terhadap anak dalam belajar, maka semakin tinggi pula prestasi belajar anak. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dari kuesioner yang telah peneliti sebarkan kepada 44 responden, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa aspek yang paling tinggi yang menjadi perhatian orang tua terhadap anak dalam belajar adalah aspek pemberian bimbingan dan nasehat serta pengawasan belajar. Sedangkan aspek yang paling rendah dari pola perhatian orang tua kepada anak saat belajar di rumah adalah pemberian penghargaan dan hukuman serta pemenuhan kebutuhan sarana dan prasarana belajar anak.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis posisi dan mekanisme pengaruh elit pendidikan agama dalam proses formulasi kebijakan sosial-keagamaan melalui perspektif teori elit kekuasaan. Metode penelitian menggunakan kajian pustaka (library research) dengan pendekatan kualitatif, menganalisis literatur akademik melalui teknik content analysis dan analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa elit pendidikan agama merupakan kategori elit kekuasaan yang distinktif yang mendasarkan pengaruhnya pada kapital simbolik dan kultural, bukan kontrol terhadap aparatus koersif atau sumber daya material. Tiga mekanisme pengaruh diidentifikasi: jalur konsultatif formal, pengaruh kultural informal, dan jaringan kelembagaan. Lembaga pendidikan agama seperti pesantren, madrasah, dan perguruan tinggi keagamaan berfungsi sebagai ruang reproduksi elit yang menghasilkan kapital kultural, sosial, dan simbolik yang dapat dikonversi menjadi pengaruh politik. Pengaruh elit pendidikan agama menunjukkan ambivalensi: dapat berkontribusi positif terhadap stabilitas sosial namun juga berpotensi menghasilkan kebijakan eksklusif jika tidak diimbangi dengan mekanisme checks and balances yang memadai. Temuan ini memperluas teori elit kekuasaan klasik dengan mengintegrasikan dimensi keagamaan dan konsep kekuasaan simbolik Bourdieu.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas teori fungsional struktural sebagai salah satu pendekatan utama dalam sosiologi yang menjelaskan bagaimana masyarakat dapat mempertahankan keteraturan, stabilitas, dan keberlanjutan. Pendekatan ini memandang masyarakat sebagai suatu sistem yang tersusun atas bagian-bagian yang saling berhubungan dan memiliki fungsi tertentu bagi keseluruhan sistem sosial. Melalui analisis terhadap konsep struktur sosial yang meliputi nilai, norma, peran, status, serta institusi, artikel ini menjelaskan bagaimana struktur menciptakan pola perilaku dan mekanisme sosial yang memungkinkan individu berinteraksi secara teratur. Selain itu, pembahasan mengenai fungsi sosial menunjukkan kontribusi nyata setiap elemen dalam menjaga integrasi dan keseimbangan masyarakat. Teori Talcott Parsons dengan skema AGIL serta konsep fungsi manifes dan laten dari Robert K. Merton menjadi landasan utama dalam memahami hubungan timbal balik antara struktur dan fungsi. Artikel ini juga menyoroti bagaimana institusi keluarga, pendidikan, dan hukum mencerminkan keterkaitan tersebut dalam praktik kehidupan sosial. Dengan menggunakan metode studi pustaka, artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa keseimbangan sosial tercipta melalui kerja selaras struktur dan fungsi yang saling memperkuat dalam menjaga keteraturan masyarakat.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the social construction of knowledge in the context of learning through a theoretical review of three main frameworks: (1) social constructivist theory in education, (2) the theory of social construction by Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckmann in the sociology of knowledge, and (3) the concept of framing in media and communication. The research method employed is a systematic literature review with a philosophical–analytical approach. The analysis shows that knowledge in education is not an objective entity that is simply transferred, but rather the result of active construction through social interaction, language, and the dialectic of externalization, objectivation, and internalization. The social constructivist approach to learning aligns with Berger and Luckmann’s theory of social construction, in which pedagogical reality is jointly constructed by teachers and students within a socio-cultural environment. The concept of framing provides a lens for understanding how educational discourse is constructed and influenced by particular interests. The implications for education include the need for a paradigm shift toward learning that is more collaborative, reflective, critical, and sensitive to socio-cultural contexts. This article concludes that integrating these three perspectives can enrich understanding and promote more transformative educational practices that are relevant to the dynamics of contemporary society.

Abstract

the rapid development of digital technology has transformed patterns of social interaction and the construction of social meaning. Interactions that were previously dominated by face-to-face encounters are now increasingly mediated through digital platforms, visual symbols, and algorithmic systems. This article aims to reinterpret George Herbert Mead’s theory of symbolic interactionism in the context of contemporary digital society. This study employs a qualitative approach using a systematic literature review of classical symbolic interactionism texts and recent scholarly works on digital media and online identity. The findings indicate that Mead’s core concepts of mind, self, and society remain analytically relevant for understanding social interaction in digital environments. However, these concepts require conceptual expansion to account for the role of digital symbols, platform architectures, and algorithmic mediation. This study argues that symbolic interactionism retains its theoretical significance in the digital era by adapting to technologically mediated social realities.
