Abstract

In elementary school guidance and counseling are not handled specifically by counsellors or teachers BK. In order to perform this role, the class teacher must pay attention to the level of development of each student. The purpose of this research is to find out about the role of classroom teachers in the implementation of guidance and counseling, the implementation of guidance and counseling at SDN Serang 03, and the obstacles faced by classroom teachers in the implementation of guidance and counseling at SDN Serang 03. This study uses qualitative approach combined with case study method. The subjects of the study were grade II teachers, grade V teachers, and principals of SDN Serang 03. Researchers use data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations and documentation. In analyzing the data, researchers conducted data reduction activities, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study conducted by researchers showed that the role of classroom teachers in the implementation of guidance and counseling at SDN Serang 03 has been implemented well although there are some aspects that have not been achieved optimally due to the covid-19 pandemic. At SDN Serang 03, the role of classroom teachers in the implementation of guidance and counseling is inseparable from collaboration with parents in providing guidance to students. The conclusion of this study is the role of class teachers in the implementation of guidance and counseling is indispensable to help the development of learners.

Abstract

The study aimed to find out of implementation of home visit services in overcoming the learning difficulties of students of SDN Sukasari 03 Sukasari Village, Rumpin Subdistrict, Bogor Regency, as well as to know the supporting and inhibitory factors. A qualitative approach is used in this study and the method used is case study. Participants in this study were the Head of SDN Sukasari 03, the teacher, 3 students, and 3 parents. Obsevations, interviews, and documentation are the data collection tools in this study. The results showed that the implementation of visiting teachers at SDN Sukasari 03 was initiative of grade VI teachers, the planning carried out was that teachers and school first identify learning difficulties that need to get home visit services, then determine the names of students who need home visit services, and make an implementation schedule. In the process, the teacher communicates in advance to the principal. The teacher conveys purpose of his arrival, discusses the difficulties experienced by students, establishes cooperation with parents. Evaluation is done that during the home visit process such as planning by giving a letter of advance notice to students and parents so that when the teacher visits the parents do not feel confused, it is used as improvement material for the future. Follow-up is done for students whose learning has not been resolved so it is necessary to hold a home visit replay. Teachers always report to the principal accompanied by photo evidence of the implementation of the home visit. The supportive responses of parents, principals, and other teachers. The factors home visit services are the less supportive responses of parents, students who are less open to the difficulties they experience, transportation costs, distance between school and student homes, and unfaithful weather.

Abstract

Elementary School which conducts basic education is an educational institution that organizes educational programs as a basis for student preparation that can be used for higher. Responsibility on learning somehow become important for students in an online learning situation for elementary school students. This research was conducted to analyze the learning responsibility of students in the Mekarsari I public elementary school, Tangerang district. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The subjects of this study were teachers and students. Through research instruments in the form of observation sheets, interview sheets, and student questionnaires, researchers conducted research in class III with a total of 36 students. The results showed that learning responsibilities such as doing assignments on time and being responsible for the rules that apply in the school of students in the e-learning model in class III Mekarsari I public elementary school was good enough. Because every time students did learning they were responsible according to what was done and according to their abilities with the help of the role of teacher and parents and the role of students learning public elementary school although not optimal or not always perfect.

Abstract

Anger expression or angry expression is one of the emotions that covers a person at a time. Especially this happens to children who are very difficult to overcome. Expressions of anger in children often occur in class, for example, such as fighting with friends, bothering friends who are studying, grabbing other people's things, and so on. This can create unexpected expressions such as anger, annoyance, fear, disappointment, and so on. Therefore, an alternative is required to overcome anger expression one of which is role-playing. The theory used is that the negative impact of emotions is to interfere with motor skills and interfere with mental activities. The role-playing is a form of learning activity in which children are actively involved in playing certain roles. This study researchers used a qualitative approach and methods of research used literature studies. The answer to problem’s formulation, researchers employ data collection techniques of literature and meta-analysis to address the problem and discussion in chart and descriptive form. Based on library results done by researchers, it could be concluded that the expected child’s expression of anger could be the student could reflect on events that would trigger emotions, such as not disturbing their friends who are seriously studying, asking for permission when borrowing items, staying calm during learning take place. As well as the literature found that role-playing is one of the games that has a good influence on dealing with children's emotions. So that role playing is used as an alternative to overcome angry expressions.

Abstract

This research begins with various events in the world of education that are getting lower, and the destruction of moral values that occur in the world of education such as dishonesty and a reduced sense of responsibility, and so on. Departing from these problems SDN Sayabulu tries to shape the character values of elementary school students through guidance and counseling services, the researchers believe that even though there are regulations in primary and secondary schools, the motivation for this research is the lack of tutors, but many elementary schools do not have tutors as the basis for teaching but are conducted by classroom teachers. Teacher behavior is a role model for the teacher as an educator is related to tasks related to supervision and guidance, as well as tasks related to the discipline of students to comply with school regulations and the standard of living of families and communities. This kind of school counseling service is very important in character building, therefore it is necessary to carry out character education efforts in schools, in this school, character building is built by training students, forming Friday customs, and socializing with teachers. This study uses qualitative research methods and case research methods. The research location is SDN Sayabulu, Serang City. The object of this research is the teacher and sixth-grade students. Data collection techniques used in this study indicate that counseling services in class VI SDN Sayabulu Serang City are provided by classroom teachers. The stages taken by the teacher in implementing guidance and counseling services are first, identifying student counseling and determining appropriate guidance. Second, the teacher’s efforts to assist students in solving these problems. The suggestion their enthusiasm, abilities, and abilities in providing counseling services to students, so that they receive the best learning in school.

Abstract

Character education is not only providing knowledge to children about what is right and wrong. More importantly, character education is the cultivation of habits (habits) that are following the expectations of the environment around students so that they can act properly. This study aims to describe the character values contained in the animation Riko The Series and describe the realization of the character values contained in the animation. This study uses qualitative research methods and uses content analysis it. The research data used is Riko The Series animation, ten-line production. The animation is carefully observed to analyze the value of the contained characters later. The benchmark used in the data reduction process is based on the character value of the Ministry of Education. There are 18 character values set by the Ministry of Education and Culture, namely religion, honesty, tolerance, discipline, perseverance, innovation, independence, democracy, curiosity, national spirit, love for the homeland, respect for achievement, and friendship/communication, love of peace, love to read, love the environment, social care and a sense of responsibility. The results of this study are Riko The Series animation can be used as an example for elementary school-age children, especially the importance of curiosity, faith/religion, and honesty under the guidance of teachers and parents likes to read, loves the environment around, and cares for others and a sense of responsibility.

Abstract

One aspect considered very important for students in the school and classroom environment is discipline because it is related to the smooth teaching and learning process in the classroom. Discipline in schools is often associated with compliance and the orderliness of school residents in implementing the applicable rules. In this study, we will analyze the process of learning discipline that occurs in class VI SDN 2 Lemahtamba students during the learning process. The approach used in this research is qualitative. The method used is a case study aiming to determine the form of learning discipline in class VI, the factors that influence the process of learning discipline, and the efforts made in instilling learning discipline in students. This research, at the time of data collection, used interview techniques, observation guidelines, and documentation studies that support the research topic to be discussed. The results showed that most of the thirty students had done some form of discipline. However, only a few students were still doing activities that could interfere with learning activities during the learning process. It happened due to several factors that can come from within or outside the students themselves. The teacher has made various efforts to instill discipline in the classroom by making himself an excellent example of discipline in the school. So, researchers can conclude that the learning discipline process for class VI students at SDN 2 Lemahtamba is going quite well but lacks discipline because students still commit violations.

Abstract

The regulation is one of the rules that purposed to create the student’s discipline attitude. The occurrence of violations of the rules is a form of indiscipline behavior. Indiscipline behavior occurs because of habits that happen repeatedly. If this indiscipline behavior is left unchecked, it will fade the student’s disciplinary attitude. The purpose of this research was to determine the implementation of school rules, to find out the indiscipline behavior of students toward school rules by students from class V, also to find out the causes of that indiscipline behavior by students. The approach used in this research was a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques used to support research are observation and interview. Compilation of the data findings using data reduction technique, data presentation, and drawing a conclusion. The result from the field shows that the regulations of the school have three elements, some obligations and prohibitions were written in detail and clearly, then the reprimands as sanctions given to violators, and socialization of regulations that were conducted when the new school year began. The indiscipline behaviors that the students carried out were; school uniforms that did not match the rules, incomplete attributes, wearing colored shoes, leaving books in school drawers, turning back the library books over the borrowing limit, coming late to school, letting trash scattered, did not do the homework, disrespecting and unloving people at school, vandalizing school facilities, destroying school environment, cheating, long nails and long hair for boys. The causes of this indiscipline behavior were the lack of a sense of responsibility in students, peer behavior that can be imitated, a sense of wanting to be noticed, and a lack of parental attention.

Abstract

Self-regulated learning at elementary school age is very important because students can have the ability to reflect on the results of the learning process. The online learning process experienced by Indonesian students today due to COVID-19 causes problems. Among them are students who experience limitations in the reach of internet information networks, less than optimal learning, students who are less enthusiastic about online schools, as well as limited student facilities. However, if students already have independent learning, students can face learning conditions in any form. So that if students can have independent learning, students will be able to reflect on their learning outcomes. The purpose of the research is to find out how independent student learning is and the second is the teacher's efforts to form student learning independence. This study uses a qualitative approach and uses a case study as a methodology. Students can be self-regulators in learning when studying online with students having internal responsibilities in doing assignments, having good learning goals, students are trained critically, having an openness to learning and students can have breadth in exploring lessons through interesting and fun learning media. Efforts are made by the teacher to establish student learning independence, namely by providing space for students to learn from wider sources, the teacher providing fun learning, using appropriate learning media, giving students space to know how to learn, and instilling a critical attitude.

Abstract

Parenting is the realization of the rules that parents set for students in everyday relationships. Good parenting can motivate students to keep growing. This research aims to find out the role of parenting parents and know the obstacles and solutions of parents when doing their parenting role in motivating student learning, using qualitative approaches and methods of literature studies. The results of analysis of several works of literature related to the issues studied regarding the role of parenting patterns carried out by parents, by applying authoritative or democratic parenting, which supports and frees students to explore things of interest, but with the control and control of people and in parental supervision. Another role of authorship is awareness in parents as the first educator, motivator, facilitator, and full responsibility as a guide who can direct students to the future in a good and right way. Then the obstacles of parents in motivating student learning are due to economic factors that are less fulfilled, so many parents pay less attention, and more time is spent on work, causing students to get less parental affection as well as the lack of awareness of parents in performing their role as the main educator. The solution carried out by parents is that parents realize the role of parenting and its responsibilities have an impact in fostering motivation in students to actively learn, by paying attention and supporting activities that students are interested in. As well as working with the school to discover the development of students and communities in the residential environment to form peaceful and supportive learning conditions for students.
