Abstract

Data dari Kementrian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia menunjukkan kasus kanker payudara pada tahun 2020 adalah yang tertinggi dari semua jenis kanker, dan jumlah kematian yang diperkirakan melebihi 22 ribu. Ini menjadi penyebab kematian terbesar akibat kanker. Untuk mengurangi jumlah kasus baru, upaya pencegahan dan deteksi dini diperlukan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor risiko dan gejala kanker. Untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan remaja dengan perilaku deteksi dini kanker payudara melalui Pemeriksaan Payudara Sendiri (SADARI) pada siswi SMA Negeri 3 Ternate. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analitik observasional dengan desain cross sectional. Hasil penelitian menunjukan responden dengan pengetahuan SADARI yang kurang sebanyak 99 responden (47,8%), pengetahuan yang cukup sebanyak 43 responden (20,8%), dan pengetahuan SADARI yang baik sebanyak 65 responden (31,4%). Sedangkan responden dengan perilaku SADARI yang buruk sebanyak 134 responden (64,7%) dan perilaku SADARI yang baik 73 responden (35,3%). Hasil analisis dengan menggunakan uji chi-square didapatkan hasil <0,001 yang berarti hipotesis H1 diterima. Terdapat hubungan signifikan antara pengetahuan remaja dengan perilaku deteksi dini kanker payudara melalui SADARI pada siswi SMA Negeri 3 Ternate.

Abstract

Thyroid nodules are uneven and lumpy enlargements of the thyroid gland, with a prevalence of approximately 8% in the adult population and occurring more frequently in women. This case report aims to describe the evaluation and management of patients with multiple nodular thyroid. A case of a 36-year-old female patient who presented with a complaint of a neck lump that had been slowly enlarging for several months—from the size of a marble to that of a ping pong ball—is reported. The lump was palpable, solid, and painless, without symptoms of hyperthyroidism or obstruction. Physical examination revealed thyroid gland enlargement with a solid consistency. Complete blood count and HBsAg laboratory results were within normal limits. The patient was diagnosed with multiple nodular thyroid and underwent total thyroidectomy. The surgery was performed successfully without complications. Multiple nodular thyroid is generally benign but requires careful evaluation to rule out the possibility of malignancy. Definitive management through total thyroidectomy provided good outcomes in this case.
