Abstract

Spring manufacturing company has finished goods warehouse, some storage area using manufacturing near-net-shape product. In observations made on finished goods warehouse for preparation and arrangement of product is less neat, especially on layout of a storage area in near-net-shape warehouse, resulting in slow arrangement of products, slow process of servicing the product, slow delivery of product, and a waste of space in finished goods warehouse. The aim of this study is to provide proposed improvements near-net-shape warehouse layout with a combination of two methods, namely shared storage and market basket analysis. Function of both make finished goods warehouse layout that takes into account consumer demand for products most in demand will be placed closest to warehouse door, and products that are often purchased together will be brought closer. Result of a combination of shared storage methods and market basket analysis can minimize mileage material handling, minimizing setup time, and service, so process becomes smooth delivery and avoid delays. Results from this study are shaped layout proposals are made based on calculation of shared storage methods and market basket analysis, so that layout products previously still unregulated to regulated, and service will be faster with placement of frequently purchased products and products that are frequently purchased simultaneously when placed at front. Products are placed in front of, among others. The most frequently purchased products BLS with 10.756 products and lowest purchased are K59 with 920 products

Abstract

The motorcycle industry in Indonesia has been growing year after year, and consumers have a wide choice of Japanese and Chinese brands, which are aggressively promoting electric products. Based on sales figures from the Indonesian Motorcycle Industry Association (AISI), the Honda brand consistently dominates the market, achieving 80% market share and the highest sales growth over the past ten years. PT. Astra Honda Motor (AHM), as the Sole Brand Holder Agent (ATPM), implements a Sustainable Competitive Advantage (SCA) strategy: Positioning strategy through the product image of Honda motorcycles as high-tech, tough, fuel-efficient, with a wider range of product variants, and a trusted global brand. Distribution strategy through showrooms, authorized workshops, and spare parts outlets throughout Indonesia and relatively easy to find. A pricing strategy that sets prices quite high compared to competitors to demonstrate Honda's market leadership and product quality by providing assurance about its products.

Abstract

Through unwavering professionalism and adherence to ethical standards, our engineering team is at the forefront of sustainable development, utilizing advanced technology and innovative sand-casting techniques to create environmentally-friendly solution. Sand-casting offers material flexibility over large part capabilities on low volume production. This method also offers lower casting costs and generates less carbon print. Currently, sand casting use water, bentonite, and quartz sand as dice materials. Researchers are looking for to find quartz sand substitution materials because they are not sustainable and expensive. Rice-husk ass is a waste post-harvesting material, it had silica and magnesium oxide which has characteristics similar to quartz sand. The aim of this research is to observe permeability characteristic of sand dice with rice-husk ass and bentonite percentage additive mixture. This research using full factorial 32 as experimental design.  The independent variable on this research is composition of rice husk ass and bentonite.  The composition of rice husk ash has 3 levels of 6%, 8% and 10%. bentonite composition also has similar level but different levels of 8%, 9% and 10%. The lowest permeability is 320 ml/min, it achieved on 6% rice husk ash and 8% bentonite at second replication. Meanwhile, the highest value of permeability is 450ml/min, it achieved on 10% rice husk ash and 10% bentonite. The results of data processing using descriptive statistics reveal composition mixture of rice husk ass and bentonite is directly proportional. The higher composition of rice husk ash mixture increasing permeability on sand casting dice. General linear Model ANOVA analyse show that composition rice husk ass and bentonite have significant influence to permeability of sand-casting dice. Result of analyse show rice husk ass has dominant contribution on permeability on sand casting dice. Contribution of rice husk ass is 58,78%, bentonite 22,03% prior to permeability on sand casting dice.
