Based on this, the researchers wanted to know the relationship between academic stress and coping stress on students who are compiling their final project in the current state of the COVID-19 pandemic. This research approach is quantitative research with correlation descriptive approach. Non-probability sampling with purposive sampling method. Based on the results of data analysis, the significance value of the Pearson Correlation Test between academic stress and coping stress was 0.052 <0.05 ( value). This shows that there is no significant correlation (relationship) between academic stress and coping stress in students who compose KTI during the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Critically-ill patients at intensive care unit (ICU) require hemodinamic monitoring such as CVP (Central Venous Pressure) monitoring using CVC (Central Venous Catheter). CVC insertion is associated with several complications for the patients. One of them is catheter-related infections which further expose the patients for a higher risk of morbidity and mortality. CVC could be contaminated via extra and intraluminal route which result in systemic spreading of the microorganism and cause blood stream infection (BSI). Health care personnel must actively perform prevention measures to lower the infection risk. Since the infections could be due to migration of the microorganism at insertion site, a proper dressing method plays an essential role to prevent the infections as an effective barrier for the microorganisms. In this review, we will first discuss the prevention measures in general. Finally, we discuss the advantegous and disadvantegous of using two types of dressing methods (transparent polyurethane and gauze and tape dressing).

Abstract

Background: Breast cancer is a malignant tumor that begins in the breast cells. It can grow quickly and attack the surrounding tissues, or it can also spread to areas that are far from the malignant cell. Breast cancer patients often experience chronic pain conditions. The pain occurs due to the rapid and malignant growth of the disease, which changes the structure of the tissue and its functions, which finally results in pain. This study is aimed at determining the description of the pain in breast cancer patients. Method: The research design used in this study was a simple quantitative descriptive method with a cross-sectional design to determine the description of the pain in the post-mastectomy breast cancer patients. This study involved 32 respondents. Result: The results showed the characteristics of the respondents’ pain as follows: feeling being stabbed 50%, feeling hard pain 18.7%, and feeling numbness 18.7%. The degree of the pain felt by the patients was mild pain by 100%. The location of the most pain was 46.875% in the legs and 21.875 in the hands. The duration of the pain felt by the patients was > 5 minutes felt by 65.625%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the description of pain in the post-mastectomy breast cancer patients is a mild pain in the area of legs that requires further nursing intervention.
