<![CDATA[Abstrak: Masalah pada penelitian ini adalah usaha untuk meningkatkan aktivitas pembelajaran matematika menggunakan metode pemecahan masalah di kelas VI Sekolah Dasar Negeri 10 Siantan. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif, bentuk penelitian yaitu penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK), dan sifat penelitian bersifat kolaboratif, subyek penelitian yaitu guru dan peserta didik kelas VI Sekolah Dasar Negeri 10 Siantan yang berjumlah 40 orang. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik observasi langsung, teknik dokumenter, dan alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan observasi melalui metode pemecahan masalah dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar peserta didik. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis yang menyatakan penerapan metode pemecahan masalah pada pelajaran matematika di kelas VI Sekolah Dasar Negeri 10 Siantan dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar peserta didik, diterima. Kata kunci : Aktivitas Pembelajaran, Matematika, Metode Pemecahan Masalah Abstract: The problem in this research is an attempt to improve the learners' learning activities by using problem-solving method in mathematic subjects at the sixth grade students in the Elementary School 10 Siantan. This research method is descriptive, in classroom action research, and the nature of this research is qualitative research, the research subjects are teacher and learners elementary school sixth grade students in the Elementary School 10 Siantan which consisted of 40 people in whole. The techniques used in this research were the technique of direct observation, documentary technique, and data collection tool were used as observation guidelines. The result based on observation by using problem-solving method had improved learners learning activities. This shows that the hypothesis that stated the application of problem-solving method in mathematic lessons at the sixth grade in the Ă‚Â Elementary School 10 Siantan can improve learners' learning activities, accepted.
