Abstract

Peranan penyuluh sangat penting dalam menyampaikan program pembangunan pertanian dan memberdayakan sumber daya manusia (petani). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis kinerja penyuluh pertanian di Kabupaten Landak. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode campuran dengan penekatan embedded congruent. Responden dalam penelitian ini diambil dari petani komoditas padi di Kabupaten Landak dengan wilayah sampel penelitian Kecamatan Ngabang, Kecamatan Sengah Temila, dan Kecamatan Menyuke. Pengambilan sampel ditentukan secara purposive berjumlah 90 orang dalam pengisian koesioner, 4 orang informan primer dan 3 orang informan sekunder. Hasil analisis kuantitatif menunjukan bahwa berdasarkan penilaian responden kinerja penyuluh pertanian rata-rata berada pada kategori tinggi dengan persentase masing-masing: faktor pembangunan sumber daya manusia (PSM) sebesar 71,33%, faktor pemindahan teknologi (PT) pertanian sebesar 70,09% dan faktor pengetahuan dan keterampilan metode penyuluhan sebesar 71,50%. Indikator yang menempati posisi paling tinggi diantaranya pengukuhan kegiatan sosial ekonomi, menyediakan dan menyebarkan informasi teknologi, dan metode penyuluhan kelompok/ meeting. Teknik pengukuran kinerja penyuluh pertanian dilakukan menggunakan instrumen berbentuk skala likert 4 tingkatan.The role of extension is crucial in delivering agricultural development programs and empowering human resources (farmers). The purpose of this research is to analyze the performance of agricultural extension workers in Landak regency. This research uses the mix methods with embedded congruent approach. The respondents in this research were taken from paddy farmers in Landak regency with the sample areas in Ngabang district, Sengah Temila district, and Menyuke district. The sampling was determined purposively which includes 90 people in filling the questioner, four primary informants and three secondary informants.The results of quantitative analysis based on the respondents' assessment towards the performance of the agricultural extension workers showed averagely at high category with the percentage of each: human resource development factor (PSM) 71.33%, agriculture technology transfer factor (PT) amounted to 70.09% and the extension methods knowledge and skills factor is 71.50%. The highest indicators are; the inauguration of social and economic activities, the provision and the dissemination of information technology, and the methods of counseling groups/ meetings. Measurement techniques of agricultural extension performance was done using a four levels likert scale instrument.

Abstract

Long-term, intense sun exposure can cause erythema and sunburn, as well as premature aging and skin cancer. For generations, the people of the Banjar tribe of Borneo have applied a wet paste of Sonneratia caseolaris leaves mixture on the skin when undertaking tasks in the hot sun. The Sonneratia caseolaris tree is a mangrove plant that grows on river banks throughout the Borneo Island. The study aims to formulate Sonneratia caseolaris leaves ethanol extract into a stable lotion and test its efficacy as a sunscreen. Sonneratia caseolaris leaves were macerate with 70% ethanol, and the sunscreen activity of the extract was examined in vitro with a UV-visible spectrophotometer, and then formulated into a lotion dosage form. Organoleptic and homogeneity observations, pH measurements, viscosity measurements, and spreadability measurements were all performed on the lotion. Following that, the lotion sunscreen activity of was tested in vitro. The Sonneratia caseolaris extract sunscreen lotion has met the requirements of organoleptic, homogeneity, pH, viscosity, and spreadability tests. Sunscreen lotion with 2.5% Sonnerata caseolaris extract classified as standard suntan. Sonneratia caseolaris extract of Borneo has the potential to develop as a raw material for herbal cosmetics. Abstract

ABSTRAKUbi jalar (Ipomea batatas L) merupakan tanaman pangan dengan produktivitas cukup tinggi. Selain itu, ubi jalar juga sangat potensial untuk dikembangkan sebagai sumber prebiotik terutama karena kandungan oligosakaridanya. Oligosakakrida adalah komponen utama prebiotik karena dapat dicerna oleh mukosa usus, sehingga termanfaatkan oleh bakteri di usus seperti Lactobacillus. Lactobacillus sp., merupakan probiotik yang dimana berfungsi sebagai imun ostimulan, pemacu pertumbuhan, dan dapat dijadikan sebagai penyeimbang mikroorganisme dalam pencernaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemenfaatan ubi jalar terfermentasi terhadap pertumbuhan dan sintasan udang vaname (Litopenaeus vannamei). Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan yaitu metode rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan 3 kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan tepung ubi jalar yang terfermentasi menunjukkan hasil tidak berbeda nyata (P0,05) setiap dosis yang berbeda terhadap pertumbuhan dan sintasan udang vaname. Pertumbuhan mutlak tertinggi yaitu pada perlakuan B (Ubi jalar 20%) sebesar 2,18 gram, perlakuan C (Ubi jalar 25%) sebesar 2,06 gram, kemudian perlakuan D (Ubi jalar 30%) sebesar 2,01 gram, dan perlakuan A (Kontrol) sebesar 1,96 gram. Sintasan tertinggi yaitu pada perlakuan B sebesar 97,78%, perlakuan C sebesar 95,56%, kemudian perlakuan D 93,33%, dan A sebesar 91,11%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan ubi jalar dengan dosis 20% dalam pakan mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan sintasan udang vaname.Kata Kunci: fermentasi, pertumbuhan, sintasan, ubi jalar, udang vaname.ABSTRACTSweet potato (Ipomea batatas L) is a food crop with quite high productivity. In addition, sweet potato has the potential to be developed as a source of prebiotics, especially because of its oligosaccharide content. Oligosaccharides are the main component of prebiotics because the intestinal mucosa can digest them, so they are utilized by bacteria in the intestine, such as Lactobacillus. Lactobacillus sp is a probiotic that functions as an immune booster and growth booster and can be used as a counterweight to microorganisms in digestion. This study aims to determine the utilization of fermented sweet potato on the growth and survival rate of white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei). The experimental design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The results showed that the addition of fermented sweet potato flour showed no significantly different results (P0,05) for each different dose on the growth and survival of Vannamei shrimp. The highest absolute growth was in treatment B (20% sweet potato) of 2,18 grams C treatment (25% sweet potato) of 2,06 grams, then D treatment (30% sweet potato) of 2,01 grams, and 2,01 grams in treatment A (Control) of 1,96 grams. The highest survival was in Treatment B at 97,78%, treatment C at 95,56%, then Treatment D at 93,33%, and A at 91,11%. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that adding sweet potato at a dose of 20% in the feed can increase the growth and survival of Vannamei shrimp.Keywords: fermentation, growth, survival, sweet potato, vannamei shrimp
