Abstract

The primary aim of this research is to delve into the understanding of "dalihan na tolu" as the guiding philosophy in the lives of the Batak Toba community and to examine its practical application within their societal framework. Employing a qualitative approach with an ethnographic orientation, the study incorporates various data collection techniques, including interviews, observations, and documentation. The research involves key informants such as the village head of Parparean III, community leaders, traditional figures, as well as parents and children in Parparean III village, situated in Porsea District, Toba Samosir. The subsequent data analysis encompasses reduction, presentation, verification, and drawing of conclusions. The research findings shed light on several noteworthy points: Firstly, the comprehension of Dalihan Na Tolu as a worldview varies across the community. Traditional figures and community leaders exhibit a clear understanding, whereas parents and children show a diminishing grasp of Dalihan Na Tolu. Secondly, observations during the research highlight the continued application of Dalihan Na Tolu by traditional figures and community leaders. However, there is a discernible decline in its implementation among parents. Lastly, a discernible shift in Dalihan Na Tolu as the societal worldview of the Batak community becomes evident when comparing the past to the present.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the extent to which the influence of the socio-economic status of parents on the learning outcomes of class students. The research method uses quantitative research with a descriptive correlative approach implemented at Madrasah Aliyah Persiapan Negeri 4 Medan. The population in this study were all students of class XI with a sample of 168 students. The data analysis technique in this study used a prerequisite test consisting of a normality test, a homogeneity test, a linearity test, and a multicollinearity test. Then continued with a hypothesis test consisting of a partial test (t test), a simultaneous test (F), multiple linear regression analysis, a determination coefficient test (R2) and a correlation coefficient test. The results showed that in the education level coefficient, the Tcount value <Ttable is 0.804 <1.97462, so H0 is accepted and Ha is rejected. This means that there is no influence of the level of parental education on student learning outcomes. In the income level coefficient, the Tcount value> Ttable is 2.348 <1.97462, so Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. This means that there is an influence of parental income level on student learning outcomes. While in the work coefficient, the Tcount value <Ttable is -1.616 <1.97462, so Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. This means that there is no influence of parental work on student learning outcomes. Then the probability value of significance (sig) <0.05 is obtained, namely 0.044 <0.05 and the Fcount value> Ftable is 2.762> 2.66, so Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. So it is obtained that there is an influence of parental socio-economic status on learning outcomes which can be shown from the value of the determinant coefficient (R square) of 0.048, meaning that the influence of the socio-economic status variable on learning outcomes is 0.048 or 4.8%. While the correlation value (R) is 0.220 or 22% which indicates a low level of relationship. From the above understanding, it can be concluded that there is an influence of parental socio-economic status on student learning outcomes (Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected).

Abstract

In general, this study aims to describe (1) the recruitment process used by MAN 1 Medan in the acceptance of new prospective students in (2) the selection process used by MAN 1 Medan in the acceptance of new students (3) the obstacles faced in the recruitment process and selection of prospective new students at MAN 1 Medan (4) efforts made so that the process of recruiting and selecting prospective new students runs effectively and efficiently at MAN 1 Medan. This study uses qualitative research with a phenomenological method approach. The subjects of this study were the Principal, members of the PPDB committee and Student WKM. Data collection techniques by observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman model. Data validity techniques with credibility, transferability, dependability and confirmability. The results of the study show the following: (1) The recruitment and selection process includes the formation of a committee, notification of information regarding PPDB has been opened through banners, brochures etc., online registration by attaching the specified files, announcement of file selection, selection of academic tests, selection of Al reading tests -Qur'an and worship practices, announcement of selection graduation, and re-registration. (2) the selection process used includes file selection, academic test selection and selection of tests for reading the Qur'an and worship practices (3) the obstacles that occur during the recruitment and selection process using the online system do not have a big impact. Only small obstacles can then be overcome by the school. (4) The efforts made by the school can minimize obstacles and make the implementation of recruitment and selection run effectively and efficiently. Based on the research, it can be concluded that the recruitment and selection strategy used by Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Medan in T.P 2019/2020 is file registration, then academic test selection and selection of Al-Qur'an reading tests and worship practices using the online system as a whole in the process.Recruitment and Selection Strategy, New Students, Quality of Education

Abstract

Penelitian berjudul “Pengaruh Pembelajaran Inquiry berbasis media istana maimun terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS di Mts Nurushholih Medan” penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar hasil belajar siswa sebelum menggunakan metode pembelajaran Inquiry berbasis istana maimun, hasil belajar siswa setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran Inquiry berbasis istana maimun dan pengaruh yang signifikan dari Model Pembelajaran Inquiry berbasis media istana maimun pada materi Keragaman Budaya dan etnik di Indonesia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif, dengan menggunakan jenis penelitian quasi eksperimen, populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu seleruh siswa kelas VII di MTs Swasta Nurussholih Medan. Sampel pada penelitian ini kelas VII-1 dengan jumlah 31 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII-2 dengan 29 siswa sebagai Kelas kontrol. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan pretest dan post test dengan jumlah dan pertanyaan yang sejenis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS dengan materi Keragaman Budaya dan Etnik di Indonesia yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Inquiry berbasis media istana maimun. Hasil nilai pretest dan post test pada kelas eksperimen memperoleh nilai 66 pada nilai pretest dan 88 pada nilai post tets. Uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai t hitung 7.568 dan t tabel 2.001. oleh Karena itu H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran inquiry berbasis media istana maimun memiliki pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat pengaruh pembelajaran aktif tipe quiz team terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS kelas VII di SMP Negeri 4 Tanjung Morawa. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen, penelitian ini lebih menekankan pengolahan datanya dalam bentuk angka. Dalam pengolahan data, penelitian ini menggunakan bantuan microsoft excel 2013 dan SPSS versi 20. Seluruh kelas VII di sekolah ini ditetapkan sebagai populasi penelitian yang terdiri dari sembilan kelas. Adapun sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas VII-A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VII-C sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen tes, tes diberikan kepada seluruh sampel dengan jumlah dan pertanyaan sejenis. Analisis yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah analisis statistic inferensial (Uji T). Sebelum dilakukannya Uji T, data harus bersifat normal dan homogen sehingga didapatkan hasil yang diinginkan pada Uji T. Hasil akhir pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan pembelajaran aktif tipe quiz team terhadap hasil belajar IPS antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Nilai rata-rata untuk kelas eksperimen adalah sebesar 83,64 sedangkan kelas kontrol sebesar 75,91. Selain itu, analisis data menggunakan Uji T diperoleh hasil dengan nilai thitung sebesar 6.224 dan sig(2-tailed) sebesar 0.000 < 0,05. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis tersebut, dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa pembelajaran aktif tipe quiz team berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar IPS kelas VII di SMP Negeri 4 Tanjung Morawa

Abstract

This research is motivated by the leadership style of the principal in MAS Al-Asy'ariyah Medan Krio. Ensuring the leadership style of the school principal is one of the mandatory duties of the school principal in enhancing the leadership style at MAS Al-Asy'ariyah Medan Krio. This study aims to examine the leadership of the school principal in the leadership style at MAS Al-Asy'ariyah Medan Krio. The research method used in this study is descriptive qualitative research, where the researcher will describe the leadership style of the school principal at MAS Al-Asy'ariyah Medan Krio. There are three participants in this study, namely the school principal, teachers, and students at MAS Al-Asy'ariyah Medan Krio. The research findings indicate that: 1) The principal of MAS Al-Asy'ariyah Medan Krio implements effective leadership processes, including supervision, planning, and execution in the leadership style of the school principal. 2) The principal also frequently motivates teachers and students with the aim of encouraging them to adopt the leadership style of the school principal, thereby achieving the goals in the leadership style at MAS Al-Asy'ariyah Medan Krio. 3) The principal demonstrates good role modeling by involving the community in all school activities, aiming to receive input and active participation from the community in improving the leadership style at MAS Al-Asy'ariyah Medan Krio. In conclusion, the leadership of the school principal in enhancing the leadership style at MAS Al-Asy'ariyah Medan Krio has been effective without any obstacles, as the principal performs all tasks using a well-organized management system.

Abstract

Dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, sampah adalah kenyataan yang tidak dapat dihindari. Setiap tindakan pasti akan menghasilkan sisa berupa sampah. Mayoritas sampah masih sembarangan dibuang di Desa Bagan Kuala, Kecamatan Tanjung Beringin, Kabupaten Serdang, sehingga berpotensi merusak ekosistem. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengelolaan sampah di Desa Bagan Kuala Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai, Kecamatan Tanjung Beringin. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik deskriptif kualitatif. Wawancara, distribusi kuesioner atau kuesioner, dan dokumen digunakan dalam metodologi penelitian. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan oleh kelompok kkn74 uinsu 2023 menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada sistem pengelolaan sampah khusus di Desa Bagan Kuala, Kecamatan Tanjung Beringin, dan Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai karena kurangnya fasilitas, infrastruktur, dan lokasi pengelolaan. Dan juga masih kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat tentang pentingnya pengelolaan sampah yang efisien. Dalam rangka mengurangi jumlah sampah di Desa Bagan Kuala, khususnya meminimalisirnya, perlu ada peran instansi terkait dalam pengelolaan sampah, jadwal kerja sama yang teratur antar pihak atau gotong royong , pengembangan metode pengelolaan sampah, dan kesadaran masyarakat untuk penerapan 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle).

Abstract

This study used a quantitative descriptive approach and involved 161 farmers. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation and tested for normality, homogeneity, linearity, multicollinearity, and hypothesis. The analysis results show that for the social status variable, the tcount value of 1.672 exceeds the ttable value of 1.655, which indicates that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, which results in the approval of the null hypothesis (Ho). Therefore, the null hypothesis is better than the alternative hypothesis. This suggests that Income does not significantly affect outcomes. The F test shows an equal influence of social status and Income on the observed variables with a significance value of 0.183. However, the calculated Fvalue (1.716) is lower than the Ftable (3.05), which indicates that the combined effect is not statistically significant. This finding indicates that, while Income has no significant impact on the variables under study, social status has a significant impact. This finding serves as a basis for improving policies that help farmers, especially regarding Income.

Abstract

By using purposive sampling as a sampling strategy, this study applied quantitative methods and ex post facto design. The sample for this study consisted of all 9th ??grade students (289 people) from SMP Negeri 1 Dolok Batu Nanggar. However, the intended sample included 168 children. Testing prerequisites, such as homogeneity test, linearity test, and multicollinearity test, are very important in the data analysis methodology. After that, it was continued with hypothesis testing, specifically using multiple linear regression analysis with t-test (partial), F-test (simultaneous), and coefficient of determination test. This study found a correlation of 4.109 and a value of 1.654. ??The first principle in decision making is that a result can be accepted if its value is greater than the others; otherwise, the result is rejected. The results showing a significant effect of incentives on students' learning motivation at SMP Negeri 1 Dolok Batu Nanggar were confirmed with an incentive of 4.109, which was then rejected. In comparison with the value of 1.654, the study found a punishment score of 3.320. The basic principle in decision making is that a result is acceptable if its value is equal to or higher than the target value, and rejected if its value is lower. The significant effect of law on students' learning motivation at SMP Negeri 1 Dolok Batu Nanggar is shown by the sacredness value of 3.320 compared to 1.654, which is accepted and then rejected. Based on these facts, the fact that the value of 25.264 is less than 3.087 indicates that the value of 25.264 is accepted and rejected. The cumulative significance probability of the hadith and law shows zero. The p-value, which is estimated to be slightly less than 0.05 (0.000 <0.05), indicates a correlation. This study together and significantly shows a correlation between the two variables and their effects on incentives and penalties, which shows a significant effect on students' academic performance at SMP Negeri 1 Dolok Batu Nanggar. Prinsip dasar dalam pengambilan keputusan adalah bahwa suatu hasil dapat diterima jika nilainya sama dengan atau lebih tinggi dari nilai target, dan ditolak jika nilainya lebih rendah. Pengaruh signifikan hukum terhadap motivasi belajar siswa di SMP Negeri 1 Dolok Batu Nanggar ditunjukkan oleh nilai kesakralan sebesar 3,320 dibandingkan dengan 1,654, yang diterima dan kemudian ditolak. Berdasarkan fakta-fakta ini, kenyataan bahwa nilai 25.264 kurang dari 3.087 menunjukkan bahwa nilai 25.264 diterima dan ditolak. Probabilitas signifikansi kumulatif dari hadits dan hukum menunjukkan angka nol. Nilai p, yang diperkirakan sedikit kurang dari 0,05 (0,000 < 0,05), menunjukkan adanya korelasi.
