Abstract

The objectives of this research are to describe how the implementation of Flashcards in teaching vocabulary and to describe how is students’ vocabulary mastery is after the implementation of Flashcards. The study applied qualitative design that implemented the Library Research Method. The data were collected from scientific writings on implementing Flashcards in teaching vocabulary between 2011 and 2021. The scientific writing was found on the internet. The data were analyzed using content analysis based on Wright (1989). There are nine scientific writings as the data. The results of data analysis showed that implementing Flashcards in nine different studies was carried out using many methods. Some researchers refer to expert recommendations using Flashcards. Buttner (2007), Budden (2013), Allen (1983), Read (2013), Wright (1989), and Harmer (2007). All studies show that students' vocabulary increases after applying Flashcards in their research. Flashcards have some impact on students. For example, Flashcards increase students' motivation to learn vocabulary, students easily understand the material, students can make simple sentences, students acquire new vocabulary, students' vocabulary increases, and students can understand the material. The increase in students' vocabulary is caused by several factors, namely the amount of treatment given, class conditions, and the strategies used by the teachers to overcome students' vocabulary weaknesses.

Abstract

On March 2022, the entertainment world, especially the music industry in Indonesia, was shocked by the release of musician Ahmad Dhani from the Collective Management Institute (LMK WAMI), where he has been taking shelter so far in managing royalties for his economic rights as a songwriter and musician. As we know that Ahmad Dhani is the frontman of the Dewa 19 music group and also oversees several famous musicians and artists in Indonesia, even his work in the music industry has gone international where he founded the band TRIAD with musicians from Australia. There is no doubt about Ahmad Dhani's achievements in the music industry. The works that he created with the band Dewa 19 or Ahmad Dhani himself have graced the entertainment scene and music lovers in Indonesia since the early 90s. His works, entitled Kangen, Cukup Siti Nurbaya, Elang, Pupus, Roman Picisan, Risalah Hati and many others are always included in the Top List songs of the best songs in Indonesia. Even his songs are timeless, where there are still many millennial generations who know and recreate Ahmad Dhani's songs

Abstract

Islamic Bank is a bank that applies Islamic principles in running the business. Until 2015, there were 12 Islamic Bank in Indonesia; one of them already listed on the stock market. The purpose of this study was to analyze differences in the bank's soundness was assessed using a bank's risk profile, good corporate governance, income, and capital (RGEC) between listed Islamic Banks and the unlisted ones. Using the data period 2011-2015 used the independent t-test to test for differences. Statistical tests showed that there is no significant difference in credit risk as measured by NPF and Earning as measured by BOPO that represent cost efficiency between the two groups of companies. Listed Islamic banks have lower credit risk and greater efficiency than the unlisted onesDOI: 10.15408/aiq.v9i1.4011
