Abstract

This aims of this study was to compare the environmental care between students attending Adiwiyata schools and those attending non-Adiwiyata schools. The research method used the comparative method. Sampling in research used purposive sampling technique. The sample consisted of Adiwiyata school students, SMP N 2 Balung with a total of 61 students and non-Adiwiyata students SMP N 9 Jember with a total of 57 students. Data collection techniques used a questionnaire. The normality test used the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, and the homogeneity test used the Levene Statistics. The research hypothesis was tested using the Mann Whitney test, after the hypothesis testing was calculated, it was obtained if the sig. (2-tailed) > 0.05 then Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected. Meanwhile, if the sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05 then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Referring to the Mann Whitney analysis, it could been seen that sig.(2-tailed) is 0.588 > 0.05. Because of that, H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. So the conclusion of this research was that there are differences in environmental care between students who attend Adiwiyata schools and non-Adiwiyata students.

Abstract

The results of the pre-study showed that the self confidence of students in class XII MIPA MAN Lumajang was relatively low, as students tend to be shy about asking questions and expressing their opinions due to monotonous learning models and media. Through the Quantum Learning model, students’ persistence and courage will grow in interpreting difficult biology material such as genetics. Student active participation will also be supported by Nearpod features. The purpose of this study was to determine the significant effect of Quantum Learning model assisted by nearpod on self-confidence. The research approach was quantitative with a quasi experimental design. The research design uses a nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design with Mann Whitney U-Test data analysis technique. The results showed that the experimental class's self-confidence obtained a mean questionnaire score of 90.27, which was higher than the control class's score of 74.69. The Mann Whitney U-Test results from the posttest obtained a Sig. value of 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that there was a significant effect of the Nearpod-assisted Quantum Learning model on students' self-confidence.

Abstract

Hasil observasi pra-penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa XII MIPA MAN Lumajang memiliki kemampuan mengingat materi tergolong lemah yang ditandai dengan sebagian besar siswa tidak mampu menjawab ketika diberikan pertanyaan oleh guru pada saat kegiatan recalling memory terkait materi yang dipelajari sebelumnya. Hal ini dikarenakan media pembelajarannya hanya berdasarkan buku paket dan model pembelajaran yang sering diterapkan adalah model konvensional. Sedangkan dalam mempelajari materi genetika dibutuhkan daya ingat yang kuat karena karakteristik materi yang abstrak, banyak ditemukan istilah-istilah asing dan memiliki tingkat kerumitan materi yang cukup kompleks. Dengan demikian, model Quantum Learning berbantuan media nearpod sangat penting untuk diterapkan.Tujuan penelitian yaitu mengetahui signifikansi pengaruh model Quantum Learning berbantuan nearpod pada kemampuan daya ingat jangka panjang siswa XII MIPA MAN Lumajang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif berupa pendekatan nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design dari jenis quasi eksperimen. Sampel penelitian kelompok kontrol 26 siswa (XII MIPA E) dan kelompok eksperimen 27 siswa (XII MIPA F). Uji Mann Whitney U-Test sebagai teknik analisis data. Hasil penelitian kemampuan long term memory kelompok kontrol diperoleh 48,85 mean prestest dengan 51,31 untuk mean posttest lebih rendah dari kelompok eksperimen yaitu diperoleh hasil 75,34 mean posttest dan mean prestest sebesar 49,52. Hasil uji Mann Whitney U-Test dari hasil posttest soal daya ingat diperoleh nilai Sig. 0.000 < 0.05 atau terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan model Quantum Learning berbantuan media nearpod terhadap kemampuan daya ingat jangka panjang siswa pada materi genetika kelas XII MIPA MAN Lumajang.
