Abstract

Many efforts have been made to strengthen vocational education in Madrasah Aliyah, one of which is by implementing skills education. However, this effort has not been running optimally because the right strategy has not been implemented. This study aims to analyze the strategy for strengthening vocational education in Madrasah Aliyah in responding to the challenges of the industrial era 4.0. This study examines how the orientation of the curriculum and school culture develops in Madrasah Aliyah so that they are relevant to the business world and industry and maintain their Islamic existence. This study uses a qualitative phenomenological approach involving two Madrasah Aliyah in West Java: MAN 1 Garut and MAN 3 Tasikmalaya City. Using a purposive sampling technique, the researcher selected two principals, eight vice principals, 15 teachers, and 45 students, each representing each school. The results of the study indicate that the strategy for strengthening vocational education in Madrasah Aliyah is to implement skills education that is linked and matches and is relevant to the demands of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 by considering three aspects, namely the curriculum, school culture-oriented towards Islamic culture, and building partnerships with the Business World and Industry. This study concludes that implementing vocational education by organizing several skills education in Madrasah Aliyah is the right choice in responding to the challenges of Industry 4.0, especially the demands of the world of work. This study recommends the importance of preparing entrepreneurial competencies for Madrasah students so that they are ready to face the challenges of the world of work in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0.

Abstract

This article analyzes the application of the Deep Learning approach in Islamic Religious Education learning. Along with the rapid development of information and communication technology, especially in artificial intelligence, deep learning offers solutions to improve the quality of education, including in Islamic Religious Education learning. The deep learning approach can be used in several aspects, including personalizing learning materials, adapting learning models that are based on student characteristics, and providing in-depth data analysis that can be used to assess student understanding and learning progress. The Islamic Religious Education learning process is expected to be more effective, efficient, and interactive through the deep learning approach. This paper identifies various ways the deep learning approach can be implemented in Islamic Religious Education learning, including in several subjects such as Fiqh, Qur'an Hadith, History of Islamic Culture and Aqidah Akhlak. The findings of this study indicate that implementing the deep learning approach in Islamic Religious Education learning can enrich students' learning experiences, accelerate their understanding of Islamic Religious Education concepts, and provide a deeper experience of Islam for students. Thus, the deep learning approach not only plays a role in accelerating the transfer of knowledge but also enriches the quality of understanding of Islamic Religious Teachings more holistically.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the curriculum development model such as what was developed by PDF Ulya Zainul Hasan Genggong, East Java Province. This research is qualitative research with a case study approach. Data collection is done by observation, interview, and document search. This research resulted in the finding that PDF Ulya Zainul Hasan succeeded in developing his curriculum not only in mastering the yellow book and religious experts (mutafaqquh fiddin) but oriented towards the development of life skills. Some life skills activities developed include computer engineering, jenazah management training, cooperatives, pencak silat, marawis and hadrah art. Besides, several extracurricular activities were also developed, including the bahsul massail group, Arabic language guidance, khitobah guidance, and Hajj ritual training. This success is supported by several factors such as the context of the PDF policy, the input of santri and ustad, the learning process and the PDF output that can give color to the social life of pesantren and the community. This research suggests that related educational institutions continue to socialize PDF on a massive scale through various channels, including the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Ministry of Education, Islamic boarding schools, and the general public, so that PDF gets wider recognition and creates a positive brand image about Formal Diniyah Education. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui model pengembangan kurikulum seperti apa yang dikembangkan Pendidikan Diniyah Formal (PDF) Ulya Zainul Hasan Genggong Provinsi Jawa Timur. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara dan penelusuran dokumen. Penelitian ini menghasilkan temuan bahwa PDF Ulya Zainul Hasan berhasil mengembangkan kurikulumnya tidak hanya dalam penguasaan kitab kuning dan ahli agama (mutafaqquh fiddin) tapi diorientasikan pada pengembangan life skills. Beberapa kegiatan life skills yang dikembangkan di antaranya teknik komputer, training pengurusan jenazah, koperasi, pencak silat, marawis dan seni hadrah. Selain itu juga dikembangkan beberapa kegiatan ekstrakurikuler antara lain kelompok bahsul masail, bimbingan bahasa arab, bimbingan khitobah, dan pelatihan manasik haji. Keberhasilan ini didukung beberapa faktor seperti konteks kebijakan PDF, input santri dan ustadz, proses pembelajaran dan output PDF yang mampu memberikan warna bagi kehidupan sosial pesantren dan masyarakat. Penelitian ini menyarankan agar lembaga pendidikan terkait terus mensosialisasikan PDF secara masif melalui berbagai jalur baik Kementerian Agama, Kementerian Pendidikan, pondok pesantren, maupun masyarakat umum, sehingga PDF mendapat rekognisi yang lebih luas dan tercipta brand image yang positif tentang Pendidikan Diniyah Formal.

Abstract

This article discusses the transformation of Islamic Religious Education learning based on eight dimensions of graduate profiles within the framework of in depth learning as an effort to answer the challenges of the 21st century. The various challenges of globalization, modernization, digitalization, moral degradation, and spiritual crisis require education to produce graduates who are not only cognitively intelligent, but also emotionally, spiritually, morally, and socially mature, and master 21st century skills. The eight dimensions of the in depth learning graduate profilefaith and piety towards God Almighty, citizenship, critical reasoning, creativity, collaboration, independence, health, and communication are integrated into Islamic Religious Education learning through innovative approaches such as project based learning, problem based learning, technology integration, and collaborative learning. This article emphasizes that teachers have various roles in education, such as curriculum designers, collaborating between schools, families, and communities, and evaluating learning based on competencies and character, which are the primary keys to successful learning. Thus, the transformation of Islamic Religious Education towards participatory reflective and competency oriented learning is expected to produce a faithful generation, has noble morals, is competitive, and is able to face the complexity of problems in the global era

Abstract

This study aims to analyze democratic parenting strategies from an Islamic educational perspective implemented at At-Tajdid Boarding School, Tasikmalaya. The background of this research is the importance of parenting patterns that not only foster obedience but also foster independence, responsibility, and a holistic awareness of Islamic educational values. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results indicate that democratic parenting at At-Tajdid Boarding School, Tasikmalaya, is implemented through three main strategies: open dialogue between caregivers, teachers, and students; giving students responsibility within the boarding and school environments; and fostering the internalization of Islamic educational values through role models and strengthening spiritual aspects. This strategy has successfully created a religious, participatory, and humanistic educational culture. These findings reinforce the view that democratic parenting in Islamic education not only fosters discipline but also strengthens students' character and leadership holistically.
