Abstract

Soap is obtained from the saponification reaction that occurs between oil and alkaline solution. Various kinds of oils used in soap making also affect the quality of soap. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of oil type on the physical properties of liquid bath soap. This research was divided into 3 groups, coconut oil group (A), VCO oil group (B), and olive oil group (C). Liquid bath soap obtained from each type of oil is tested based on SNI provisions including a soap quality test (oil characteristics test, organoleptic test, pH test, specific gravity, total plate count), viscosity test, and antioxidant test. Liquid bath soap of the three types of oil has the same shape, color, and odor. Coconut liquid soap, VCO, and olives respectively have a pH value of 6.64; 6.9; 6.52. (P = 0,000) Specific weight 1.0511; 1.0427; 1.0425. Viscosity 558cps; 686; 420. (p = 0.003) IC50 3547.36; 4523.46; 3542.02. (p = 0.035). Bath soaps that best meet SNI requirements are those made with olive oil.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the knowledge level of students at SMK YPKK 1 Sleman regarding the use of traditional medicine. The study employs a descriptive quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design, involving 113 students from grades X, XI, and XII, who were purposively selected as the sample. Data were collected through a questionnaire that covered respondent characteristics, sources of information on traditional medicine, methods of obtaining it, forms of preparation, as well as knowledge and use of traditional medicine. The results indicate that the majority of students have good knowledge about traditional medicine (60%); however, the use of traditional medicine among students is relatively low, with 50% having a low level of usage. This study underscores the importance of increasing adolescent interest in traditional medicine to preserve cultural heritage and promote health.

Abstract

Viskositas sediaan sebelum 238,69±0,1cps  dan setelah penyimpanan 225,21 ± 0,1.Kata kunci: Furosemid; SNEDDS; Organoleptis; Viskositas AbstractFurosemide is a diuretic drug used for edema therapy with heart, kidney, and hepatic failure and used in the treatment of hypertension. Furosemide has poor solubility and permeability. To overcome this, furosemide is made in the form of SNEDDS preparations. Organoleptical tests, centrifugation tests, pH tests, and viscosity tests were carried out for 3 months of storage at 40°C. The results of organoleptic observations showed no phase separation, precipitation, cracking, or creaming. pH 5.53 ± 0.02 of the preparation after storage at 40°C did not undergo significant changes. Viscosity of the preparation before 238.69 ± 0.1 cps and after storage 225.21 ± 0.1.Keywords: Furosemide; SNEDDS; organoleptics; viscosity
