Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of the module in improving students' understanding of eco-literacy. This research is development research using the 4D development model with ten students as research participants. The learning module developed is validated by two competent validators from internal and external campuses. The feasibility of the module includes the validity and reliability of the module as measured by the validation questionnaire sheet. The validation results show that the module obtained an average score of 3.66 (very valid category), with the reliability score of 0.83 (real category). The research data were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. Students' understanding was measured on the competency test in the module on the pretest and posttest after giving the treatment. The results of the module trial calculated using the N-gain formula indicate that the effectiveness was under the high category with a score of 0.703 with an average pretest and posttest values of 43.7 and 83.49, respectively. Based on the study results, it can be concluded that the web-based science learning module developed is valid, reliable, and effective in improving students' understanding of eco-literacy.

Abstract

Stress conditions can reduce academic ability, influencing student grade point averages and encouraging negative behaviors. The object of this research was to discern the influence of vitamin D in the reduction of academic stress of health students. The study used a randomized controlled trial (RCT). The population was midwifery students who lived in the Health Polytechnic dormitory, Ministry of Health, Yogyakarta, in 2017. Samples were 77 students of midwifery who did not suffer from any chronic disease, nor did they experience academic stress. They all agreed to become research subjects. Samples were 39 respondents in a treatment group who were administered 1 tablet of 400 mg of vitamin D supplement daily, for 30 days. A control group was given a placebo. Academic stress was assessed by means of the Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale 42 (DASS 42). Data were analyzed by using linear regression. The results showed that daily vitamin D supplement reduced academic stress (p-value 0.000 < 0.05). One dose of 400 international units (IU) of vitamin D daily for 30 days could reduce academic stress by 11.28 points. To reduce academic stress, students should consume vitamin D and expose their skin to sun rays with ultraviolet.

Abstract

Periode keserasian bersekolah, atau periode intelektualitas, adalah istilah lain untuk usia sekolah dasar. Seorang anak dianggap siap untuk memulai sekolah pada umur 6 hingga 7 tahun. Sekolah dasar terdiri dari kelas rendah dan kelas tinggi. Tingkat ekonomi yang rendah, asupan makanan yang tidak seimbang, dan kurangnya pengetahuan orang tua adalah beberapa faktor yang menyebabkan anak sekolah dasar menjadi salah satu kelompok yang rentan terhadap kekurangan gizi. Anak sekolah yang menjalani pola makan yang seimbang cenderung memiliki status gizi yang baik. Pada usia enam tahun, anak-anak mulai masuk sekolah, membawa mereka ke dunia baru di mana mereka mulai berhubungan dengan orang-orang di luar keluarga mereka dan berkenalan dengan lingkungan dan suasana baru. Hal ini dapat memengaruhi cara mereka makan. Kegembiraan di sekolah sering membuat anak-anak menyimpang dari waktu makan yang sudah ditetapkan. Tingkat ekonomi yang rendah, asupan makanan yang tidak seimbang, dan kurangnya pengetahuan orang tua adalah beberapa faktor yang menyebabkan anak sekolah dasar menjadi salah satu kelompok yang rentan terhadap kekurangan gizi. Anak sekolah yang menjalani pola makan yang seimbang cenderung memiliki status gizi yang baik. Anak-anak sekolah biasanya menjadi gemuk karena aktivitas bermain mereka yang menguras banyak tenaga. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, Anda harus mengontrol waktu anak bermain agar mereka memiliki waktu istirahat yang cukup.
