Today the most popular infonnation for Indonesians is about pornography. In general, attitudes toward pornography can be classified into four major perspectives: conservative, feminist, postmodernist, and liberal. For adolescents pornography is a new world after they leave their childhood, and they should be protected from the hazard of pornography. They must be equipped with good knowledge and strong faith to Allah. One of the many ways of preventing teenagers from being negatively affected by pornography is education, especially providing sex education from an Islamic perspective. Historically there were subjects on sexuality in Islamic scholarship. This article aims at describing trends of adolescents' attitudes toward pornography, and proposes a concept of sex education in an Islam perspective in order to free them from negative impacts of pornography.

It is very interesting to bring discourse on homosexuality and lesbianism, particularly from a psychological perspective into the arena of Islamic discourse. Study of homosexuality and lesbianism becomes even more interesting when we try to elaborate on the psychological theories of sexuality from the expert and pioneer of psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud. Freud was considered by some as anti-God, anti-establishment, anti-argument, anti-consciousness and anti-rationality. This was because Freud created inner psychology, which not only examined the visible indications of the soul, but also those things connected to dreams, hysteria and imaginings. This article discusses the phenomena of homosexuality and lesbianism from a psychological perspective, mainly focusing on the theories of Freud. This is because Sigmund Freud is the psychologist who proposed psychoanalysis, which introduced and spread.

This study aims to describe the contribution of Islamic education in alleviating poverty. This study uses a descriptive analysis method. Data collection uses library research techniques by referring to written data published in the form of books, encyclopedias, and scientific journals that are relevant to the theme taken. Furthermore, coding is carried out and continued by analyzing categorically and poured into a narrative in a logical, systematic and reflective manner. The results of the study indicate that Islamic education plays a crucial role in poverty alleviation by implementing holistic learning methods, techniques, and strategies. Islamic education must pay attention to various aspects such as the biological and genetic environment of students, physiological and technical needs, and their neurological and rational development. In addition, psychological and spiritual aspects must be considered to form a strong work ethic. With this holistic approach, Islamic education not only educates individuals to be intelligent and skilled, but also forms perfect human beings who have integrity and the ability to overcome economic challenges, thus significantly contributing to poverty alleviation.

AbstractThis study explores the role of Islamic education through a psycho-spiritual approach in alleviating extreme poverty in Indonesia. Extreme poverty, which encompasses economic, social, psychological, and spiritual dimensions, requires a holistic approach to empowerment. Islamic education is more than just a transfer of knowledge; it shapes character and positive mentality through values such as patience, sincerity, and social care. This study employs a literature review method with a qualitative approach to analyze how psycho-spiritual education can be part of a sustainable solution. The findings indicate that integrating psycho-spiritual education into poverty alleviation programs can help build individuals’ mental and spiritual resilience. With collaboration between the government, Islamic educational institutions, and community organizations, this approach has the potential to be an effective strategy for addressing the challenges of extreme poverty. This research offers a new perspective on empowering communities through holistic education.AbstrakPenelitian ini mengeksplorasi peran pendidikan Islam melalui pendekatan psikologis spiritual dalam mengentaskan kemiskinan ekstrim di Indonesia. Kemiskinan ekstrim, yang tidak hanya terbatas pada aspek ekonomi tetapi juga mencakup dimensi sosial, psikologis, dan spiritual, memerlukan pendekatan holistik untuk pemberdayaannya. Pendidikan Islam berfungsi lebih dari sekadar transfer pengetahuan, melainkan membentuk karakter dan mentalitas positif melalui nilai-nilai seperti kesabaran, keikhlasan, dan kepedulian sosial. Studi ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka dengan pendekatan kualitatif untuk menganalisis bagaimana pendidikan psikologis spiritual dapat menjadi bagian dari solusi berkelanjutan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi pendidikan psikologis spiritual dalam program pengentasan kemiskinan dapat membantu membangun ketahanan mental dan spiritual individu. Dengan kolaborasi antara pemerintah, lembaga pendidikan Islam, dan organisasi masyarakat, pendekatan ini berpotensi menjadi strategi yang efektif dalam menghadapi tantangan kemiskinan ekstrim. The study investigates the impact of the Teacher Excellence Competition event on the motivation of teachers at MI Manbaul Ulum Tlogorejo Karangawen Demak in 2024. This mixed-method research combines both quantitative and qualitative approaches to provide a comprehensive understanding of how such competitions influence teacher motivation, job satisfaction, and professional commitment. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 20 teachers and in-depth interviews with selected participants. The analysis reveals that the competition significantly boosts teacher motivation, both intrinsically and extrinsically, by recognizing and rewarding their efforts. Teachers reported higher job satisfaction and a stronger commitment to their profession after participating in the competition. The research identifies several supporting factors, including strong support from school management and the collaborative environment among teachers. However, challenges such as time constraints and the pressure of high expectations were also noted. The study highlights the importance of transparent and fair competition processes and suggests that schools regularly conduct such events to foster a motivating and innovative teaching environment. The findings align with existing motivational theories and previous studies, underscoring the positive effects of recognition and professional development opportunities on teacher performance. AbstrakPenelitian ini mengkaji dampak event Kompetisi Guru Berprestasi terhadap motivasi guru di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Manbaul Ulum Tlogorejo Karangawen Demak pada tahun 2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode campuran yang menggabungkan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif untuk memberikan pemahaman yang komprehensif mengenai bagaimana kompetisi tersebut mempengaruhi motivasi guru, kepuasan kerja, dan komitmen profesional. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang dibagikan kepada 20 guru dan wawancara mendalam dengan partisipan terpilih. Analisis menunjukkan bahwa kompetisi ini secara signifikan meningkatkan motivasi guru, baik intrinsik maupun ekstrinsik, dengan memberikan penghargaan dan pengakuan atas usaha mereka. Guru melaporkan kepuasan kerja yang lebih tinggi dan komitmen yang lebih kuat terhadap profesi mereka setelah mengikuti kompetisi. Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi beberapa faktor pendukung, termasuk dukungan kuat dari manajemen sekolah dan lingkungan kolaboratif di antara para guru. This article discusses the role of madrasah principals as innovators in improving the quality of teacher learning. This role includes developing teachers' professionalism, applying educational technology, and developing a relevant and up-to-date curriculum. Through the descriptive qualitative method, this study identifies various strategies used by madrasah principals in motivating and supporting teachers to improve their teaching quality. The results show that innovative madrasah principals are able to create a dynamic and collaborative learning environment, which in turn contributes to improved student achievement.
