Abstract

Artemisia annua is a herbaceous plant that produces artemisinin as a malaria drug, haemorrhoids therapy, aromatherapy, antiviral, anticancer and antibacterial. Gloriosa superba is a plant that contains high colchicine compounds, especially on the seeds. Gloriosa superba extracts of tubers, stems, seeds, and leaves were used as biomutagen for many plants. Colchicine contains of these plants as antimitotic have been studied and proven by the mitotic index plants. Water extracts of Gloriosa superba seeds was used as a mutagen for Artemisia annua. The aim of this study was to determine the size and density of Artemisia annua stomata soaked in water extract of Gloriosa superba seeds as a mutagen. Extraction of Gloriosa superba seeds obtained naturally on Krakal Beach, Gunung Kidul by using a maceration method with water solvent (1:1). Artemisia annua sprouts were obtained from B2P2TOOT Tawangmangu. Variables treatment on sprouts using water extract concentration of Gloriosa superba seeds and soaking time of Artemisia annua sprouts. Measurements of stomatal length, width and density were conducted in epidermis of Artemisia annua leaf. Observation and measurements of the stomata were conducted by using a light microscope. The results showed that the length and width of stomata were 0.025 mm and 0.017 mm respectively. The stomatal density of the control leaf (174.69 amount/mm2) was lower than the other treated plants. Stomatal size and density has increased with the increasing concentration extracts on treated plants. Water extracts of Gloriosa superba seeds proved the effects on stomatal size and density of treated plants.

Abstract

Dendrobium sylvanum orchid is categorized as lowland habitus orchid and able to survive wihtout any shade. Orchid cultivation takes a very long time so it needs faster cultivation and producing large quantities. Therefore, it is necessary to do orchid culture by using tissue culture processes and then given gamma ray irradiation to bring up new characters in the orchid .The purpose of this research was to discover the impact of gamma ray irradiation in vitro to the diversity of D. sylvanum. The doses of gamma ray used in this research were 0 Gy, 15 Gy, 30 Gy, 45 Gy, and 60 Gy. The results obtained indicated that mutation mostly occurred on the treatment with 15 Gy (4.4 cm of plant height, 2.67 of leaves, 2.36 cm of leaf length, 0.49 cm of leaf width, and 5.33 of root strands) compared to the other doses and the control plants. The new finding in this research is the gamma ray dose that can optimally stimulate the mutation in D. sylvanum. This information is useful to generate the new variety in orchid cultivation in Indonesia. This research provides innovation in orchid cultivation and new variety that is possible to arise after the mutation.

Abstract

ABSTRACT   This research was conducted from March to May 2017in the Koto Masjid Village, Kampar, Riau and observation parameters has done in the Environmental Quality Laboratory of Aquaculture Faculty of Fisheries and Marine University of Riau. The aim of research was to knowing the layers on the profile of bottom soil of yellow podzolic red (YPR) pond and its characteristic with different age which catfish cultivated (Pangasius sp.) intensively. This research used eksperiment method and had direct observation with 1 factor, 4 treatments and 3 replications. The highest basal soil profile of the initial layer of flocculent layer (F) was P1 (0-5 years age) of 0.98 cm while in F final was P3 (age of 11-15 years). Furthermore, in the highest mixed sediment layer (S) layer, P3 is 3.98 cm, whereas in the final S layer is P2 (aged pond 6-10 years) that is 7.91 cm. Furthermore, the highest stable matures is stable sediment (M) is P4 (16-20 years age pond) which is 8.59 cm, while in the final M layer is P2 which is 11,50 cm. The next stage of the highest transitional layer (T) layer is P3 which is 10.54 cm, whereas in the final T layer it is P2 that is 17.16 cm. The measured soil quality parameters are still considered good. Soil sand fraction 74,16-89,66%, silt fraction 2,66-9,83%, clay fraction 7,66-16,00%. Ground BV 0.45-1.58 g / cm3, ground BJ 1,53-2,18 g / ml, soil porosity 14,75-66,26%, C organic soil 1,97-5,60% and pH 6,80-6,96.Keywords: Bottom Soil Pond Profile, Flocculent layer, YellowPodsolik Red, Pangasius sp.

Abstract

Indonesia is a multi-cultural country and has a plurality in many dimensions. This pluralistic culture is a nation's wealth capital in understanding and interacting with other nations. Current developments have led us to wider interactions across national borders where the relationship involves intercultural aspects. However, building and fostering ethnocultural empathy is an accumulative and continuous process and requires consistency over a long period of time. The most important first process is that we need to analyze the state of cultural empathy in society. This exploration, of course, requires a valid and reliable measuring instrument. As a challenge, we don't have limited instruments to explore this yet. In developing the instrument, the vast territory of Indonesia requires us to research in several periods to get maximum results. In this study, the Scale of Ethnocultural Empathy will be adapted and developed by Wang et al. and tested its validity and reliability in the central region of Indonesia. The number of items tested was 59 on 399 people, consisting of 18 males and 381 females. As for the distribution of the tribes living on Kalimantan, Bali, and Sulawesi, 24% came from the Javanese, and 44.86% of the total population came from the Makasarese, Bugis, Balinese, Ambonese, Minahasa, Dayak, and Kalimantan Malays. The study results showed that the scale of cultural empathy (The Scale of Ethnocultural Empathy / SEE) as a result of adaptation and development of 59 items was declared valid as many as 55 items and 4 items dropped. The results of the study also showed that who selected the scale of cultural empathy (The Scale of Ethnocultural Empathy / SEE) as many as 55 valid items, 58 items that met the item discriminatory value with riX 0.30 in the item discrepancy test stage, thus remaining 55 items based on the validity and item discrepancy. The results of the study also show that the scale of cultural empathy (The Scale ofEthnoculturall Empathy / SEE) as many as 55 items that meet the value of item discriminating power and validity was tested for reliability and obtained a Cronbach's Alpha score of 0.797 so that the instrument with 55 items can be accepted as a scale with reliability. Very high.

Abstract

Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mikro Hidro (PLTMH) merupakan sistem pembangkit listrik tenaga air kapasitas dibawah 100 KW. Adapun tujuan dari pembangunan PLTMH ini adalah untuk memacu perekonomian daerah-daerah mengingat potensi tenaga air yang dimiliki oleh daerah tersebut. Metode kegiatan pembangunan PLTMH ini meliputi survei lokasi, studi kelayakan, perencanaan, persiapan sistem, pembangunan dan pelatihan serta sosialisasi. Kegiatan survei dilakukan untuk mendapatkan lokasi yang benar-benar membutuhkan listrik dan memang mempunyai potensi energi yang dapat menghasilkan listrik. Selanjutnya dilakukan perencanaan dan pembangunan sistem PLTMH. Pembangunan ini meliputi pembuatan bak penampungan, pipa penstok, system PLTMH , bangunan sipil dan jaringan listrik. Setelah semua sistem dibangun, dilakukan uji coba dan pelatihan pada masyarakat tentang pengoperasian dan pengelolaan PLTMH. Pelatihan ini ditujukan agar masyarakat mampu mengelola, mengoperasikan dan pemeliharaan sistem PLTMH tersebut. Hasil dari implementasi ini adalah sebuah PLTMH dengan kapasitas daya 5kWatt yang memenuhi kebutuhan listrik. Adapun turbin yang digunakan adalah turbin Crossflow. Pembangkit listrik skala kecil yang menggunakan tenaga air sebagai tenaga penggeraknya seperti, saluran irigasi, sungai atau air terjun alam dengan cara memanfaatkan tinggi terjunan dan jumlah debit air. Tujuan penulisan ini untuk memberikan informasi mengenai sumber energi listrik dengan sistem mikrohidro di Desa Kemuning yang memiliki beberapa aliran sungai yang berpotensi untuk dibangun energi listrik dengan sistem mikrohidro, serta merekomendasikan sistem pembangkitan listrik yang bisa dibuat dari potensi yang ada tersebut. Sehingga bisa menjamin ketersediaan cadangan listrik bagi masyarakat untuk pemberdayaan UMKM Desa Kemuning.

Abstract

Crimes of sexual violence against children are still very common, there are many factors that cause this incident. This research examines the role of victims in the occurrence of criminal acts of sexual violence against children from three perspectives, namely a legal perspective, a criminological perspective and a victimological perspective. This research also examines future criminal law policies related to sexual violence against children. This research uses a normative juridical research type (legal research). This type of normative juridical research out by examining various formal is carried legal regulations such as laws and regulations related to the issues discussed. The problem in this research are the approaches used case approach, the statutory approach and the conceptual approach. In this research, there is a vacuum in norms, so the government as a policy maker must review and create new policies related to criminal law, especially regarding criminal acts of violence against sexual children.

Abstract

The problem often encountered concerning failed exclusive breastfeeding is the insight of the mothers into little or less milk production, causing fear of being incapable to satisfy the baby’s needs. The quasi-experimental research design was used in this study. There was a control group and two intervention groups. The intervention group was given moringa leaf extract and banana flower extract for 14 days. Mother’s milk was examined with atomic absorption spectrophotometry (AAS) at Labkesda (regional health laboratory) Jambi Province, Indonesia. Data were analyzed using 1-way- ANOVA. The zinc levels variable in breast milk obtained a p-value of 0.160, indicating that the zinc level in mother’s milk between the control group, moringa leaf extract, and banana flower extract did not show any meaningful difference. The iron levels variable in breast milk obtained a p-value of 0.497, indicating that the Fe levels of mother’s milk in the control group, moringa leaf extract, and banana flower extract did not show considerable distinctions. As a result, zinc and iron levels in the mother’s milk showed no prominent differentiation in the control, moringa leaf extract, as well as banana flower extract groups.

Abstract

Kemampuan untuk membuat dan memahami dasar-dasar pembuatan website menjadi sangat penting. Terutama untuk siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP), memiliki keterampilan dasar dalam mengembangkan halaman web dapat membuka peluang baru dan meningkatkan pemahaman mereka terhadap teknologi informasi. Salah satunya SMP Negeri 21 Kota Samarinda memiliki keinginan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan teknologi dan informatika siswa-siswinya. Memperhatikan kebutuhan tersebut, kami melakukan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di SMP Negeri 21 Samarinda bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepada siswa dalam meningkatkan literasi digital dengan fokus pada pelatihan pembuatan landing page portofolio dengan HTML dan CSS menggunakan VSCode. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini mencakup pembentukan struktur dan persiapan, survei dan perizinan, survei lab komputer dan instalasi, membuat modul dan mempersiapkan materi, tester dan gladi, pelaksanaan pelatihan, serta evaluasi. Hasil menunjukan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di SMP Negeri 21 Samarinda telah terlaksanakan dengan baik dengan jumlah peserta pelatihan sebanyak 36 siswa yang terdiri dari 25 siswa Perempuan dan 11 siswa laki-laki. Kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif bagi peserta, yaitu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta dalam bidang teknologi dan informatika, meningkatkan motivasi peserta untuk mengembangkan potensi diri, dan meningkatkan daya saing peserta dalam menghadapi tantangan di dunia kerja yang semakin terdigitalisasi.

Abstract

Islamic Boarding School And The Hardiness Of Santri: Collaboration Of Islamic Religious Teachers And Guidance And Counseling At Pesantren. This study aims to analyze and describe the form of implementation of the collaboration between PAI teachers and BK teachers in developing the hardiness of students at Darul Arqam Sawangan Islamic Boarding School. Hardiness is a personality that must be owned by students in carrying out life in Islamic boarding schools when facing the problems they face. The importance of doing this research because there are still minimal guidance and counseling services that are carried out and can be done in collaboration with PAI teachers in islamic boarding school. This research method used a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The data collection techniques through three methods, including: interviews, documentation, observation, and field notes (documentation). The data analysis technique used the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of this study indicated that the form of implementation of the collaboration between PAI teachers and BK teachers in developing the hardiness of students by sharing their respective tasks, such as PAI teachers who provided material to become hardiness students during teaching and learning activities and provide information related to the progress of students. Whereas, BK teachers run the BK program through personal field services for students with classical guidance techniques and group counseling. This study has limitations due to the background of students is various, this does not rule out the possibility that the level of toughness of students is different and in providing material about hardiness and it cannot be expected that all students will experience an increase.Keywords: PAI Teachers; BK Teachers; Hardiness; Islamic Boarding Schools; Santri

Abstract

Background: Mentik Wangi, a traditional aromatic rice variety, faces challenges such as prolonged growth duration and lodging susceptibility, limiting its productivity. The study aimed to evaluate the yield potential and identify high-performing mutant lines of Mentik Wangi rice induced by 200 Gy gamma irradiation. This study addresses the growing need for rice varieties with improved traits to enhance food security in Indonesia. Methods: The research was conducted at the Tegalgondo Rice Seed Garden using a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replications. The study included 12 M6 mutant lines of Mentik Wangi rice generated through 200 Gy gamma irradiation. Data were collected on plant growth, yield attributes, and grain quality. Statistical analyses were performed using ANOVA and Duncan's Multiple Range Test to evaluate the significance of observed traits. Findings: The results revealed significant variations among mutant lines for key yield components, including grains per panicle, 100-grain weight, and productivity per hectare. The line M6-MW2-G70-01-14-4-8 demonstrated the highest productivity at 7.29 tons/ha, while all mutant lines exceeded the productivity of the control (3.78 tons/ha). Gamma irradiation was effective in inducing beneficial mutations, enhancing traits such as early maturity, short stems, and higher grain density. Conclusion: The study successfully identified mutant lines of Mentik Wangi rice with improved yield potential and agronomic traits, demonstrating the effectiveness of gamma irradiation as a crop improvement strategy. Novelty/Originality of this article: This research presents innovative findings on the use of gamma irradiation to enhance the productivity and agronomic traits of a traditional rice variety, contributing to the development of high-yielding and locally adapted rice lines.
