Abstract

Indonesian society is known as a heterogeneous society in various aspects, such as diversity of ethnicity, religion, language and customs. Ambon City, as the capital of Maluku, has many places where migrant people can live, one of which is Jalan Mutiara Halong Mardika. The aim of the research is to find out and describe how the intercultural communication process occurs in the Javanese community in Ambon City. The method used is qualitative descriptive research, where data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used uses an interactive model. The results of this research are the communication barriers that ethnic Javanese migrants usually face when interacting with local communities, namely, firstly, difficulties in the language used, meaning that when interacting with migrants, local communities mostly still use Ambonese Malay. Second, the difference in the way of communicating, in this case the rather rough accent and intonation, is in sharp contrast to the Javanese people whose way of speaking is smooth, causing them to be afraid to communicate with local people, as well as different cultural supporting factors which can be an obstacle for them when communicating with local people. . However, they were able to overcome these obstacles well so that the communication process ran well without any problems between the Javanese ethnic community and the local community.

Abstract

Effectiveness of interpersonal communication (interpersonal) in the teaching and learning process to realize the ideals of national education, which in the end the quality of implementation lies in the hands of the teacher. As for the teaching and learning process, the source message can be delivered from students, teachers, and so on. With interpersonal  communication in a persuasive and effective manner, communication between teachers and students in the teaching and learning process can help motivation and encourage students to move in a positive direction. The purpose of this study was to determine how the effectiveness of teacher and student interpersonal communication in the teaching and learning process at SMK Negeri 7 Ambon and to find out what factors could be a constraint on the effectiveness of teacher and student interpersonal communication in the teaching and learning process at SMK Negeri 7 Ambon. This study uses qualitative research with data collection techniques are observation and interview techniques. From the results of this study, it was seen that students sometimes did not understand the material provided by the teacher and had difficulty in making assignments because the way the material was delivered by the teacher was considered unclear by students. And the personal closeness between students and teachers, so that it also affects the teaching and learning process in the classroom.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi menuntut masyarakat untuk lebih adaptif terhadap media digital sebagai sarana promosi dan pemberdayaan. Namun, di wilayah-wilayah tertentu seperti Jemaat Kawatu Klasis Kairatu, pemanfaatan media digital masih sangat terbatas karena kurangnya keterampilan dan pemahaman teknis. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilatarbelakangi oleh Kurangnya Strategi yang Jelas dalam memanfaatkan media digital dan strategi yang matang guna meningkatkan Branding yang kuat ; Kurangnya Literasi Digital dimana tidak semua anggota organisasi memiliki kemampuan atau pemahaman yang cukup dalam menggunakan media digital, serta Keterbatasan Sumber Daya dimana tidak ada tim khusus yang menangani media digital disana. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui pelatihan intensif yang mencakup pengenalan media digital, teknik dasar pengambilan gambar, penyuntingan video menggunakan aplikasi canva dan capcut, serta strategi penyebaran konten melalui platform media sosial. Selama kegiatan, peserta diberikan materi pelatihan dan praktik langsung pembuatan video promosi yang relevan dengan potensi lokal. Dokumentasi kegiatan menunjukkan antusiasme dan partisipasi aktif dari peserta, yang mayoritas terdiri dari pemuda dan pelayan jemaat. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini menunjukkan peningkatan secara signifikan dalam pemahaman peserta terhadap penggunaan media digital dan kemampuan membuat video promosi sederhana. Sebagai tindak lanjut, peserta diharapkan mampu mengembangkan keterampilan ini secara mandiri dan konsisten mengaplikasikannya untuk mendukung kegiatan jemaat maupun usaha lokal. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa pelatihan yang tepat sasaran dapat menjadi alat pemberdayaan efektif di era digital.

Abstract

The development of information technology is now increasingly making it easier for people to receive information, because all the current news with technological advances, the media now provides easy access for its audience. Advances in information technology have had an impact on the mass media in presenting information, one of the mass media which has also experienced developments in presenting information to the public, namely radio. The purpose of this research is to find out the implementation of agenda theory by Radio Republik Indonesia Denpasar as a medium for political literacy. In this study using a qualitative descriptive research approach to the type of descriptive descriptive research. The data analysis techniques used in this study were data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The result of this research is that in implementing the agenda setting theory, Radio Republik Indonesia Denpasar has fulfilled its role as a political literacy media that provides education and knowledge to its listeners. However, this has not run optimally, due to the limitations of Radio Republik Indonesia Denpasar in reporting on political issues, so it is a challenge for Radio Republik Indonesia Denpasar to be able to package political information that is controversial in nature so as not to lead public opinion and genuinely educate listeners.

Abstract

This study aims to know the understanding Journalistic Code of Ethics by the journalist on Seram Post Daily in conduct his profession. Based on the researched problems, then here the author uses content analysis technique, as a research technique. The content analysis examines the contents of media and the problems found in the study to seek the truth.The results of this study are: understanding the ethics does not guarantee a journalist will always behave ethically, but the study of ethics is an ability that can be done every journalist so that the application can create a consistent ethical stance. The code of conduct is one of the important requirements that must be owned by journalists seeking to plunge spaciousness and make the news, but knowledge of Seram Post Daily reporter to Journalistic Code of Ethics is very less.
