Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of knowledge, work training, risk behavior, and use of personal protective equipment on loading and discharging work safety. The population in this study were all loading and unloading labor at Tanjung Emas Port Semarang with a sample of 100 respondents. The sampling technique used is probability sampling The analytical method used is quantitative analysis, the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression The results of multiple linear regression analysis obtained the equation Y = -2.004 + 0.286 X1 + 0.246 X2 + 0.253 X3 + 0.328 X4 + μ. And the coefficient of determination is 62.3%, it means all independent variables can explain the dependent variables as much as 62.3% while the rest (100% - 62.3% = 37.7%) is explained by other variables outside the regression model.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the reliability and performance of Rubber Tyred Gantry (RTG) cranes using the Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), and Inherent Availability (IA) methods. The MTTR method is used to measure the average time required for repairs, while MTBF calculates the average time between failures. Meanwhile, the IA method assesses the inherent availability of the equipment based on the previous two parameters. The results indicate that some RTG units experience high MTTR, such as RTG035-12, which recorded a repair time of 124.15 hours in January, and RTG035-13 with 441.23 hours in February. On the other hand, RTG035-19 demonstrated more stable performance with low MTTR in several months. In terms of MTBF, RTG035-16 recorded the lowest value of 0 hours in July, indicating significant disruptions, whereas RTG035-12 exhibited the best performance with the highest MTBF of 614 hours in December. The IA analysis revealed that some RTGs had low values, such as RTG035-13, which only reached 0.312 in February, while RTG035-19 maintained values above 0.95 throughout the year, demonstrating high reliability. This study provides insights into the performance of RTG equipment at the Semarang Container Terminal (TPKS) and emphasizes the need for effective maintenance strategies to enhance operational reliability and efficiency.

Abstract

Peran penting transportasi laut dalam menghubungkan orang dan barang di seluruh dunia melalui berbagai jenis kapal. Penggunaan petikemas menjadi krusial dalam meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas dalam angkutan barang. Oleh karena itu, analisis produktivitas bongkar muat petikemas di Pelabuhan Tanjung Emas Semarang menjadi fokus penelitian untuk meningkatkan layanan dan efisiensi operasional. Masalah penelitian yang diajukan dalam skripsi ini adalah tingkat produktivitas bongkar muat petikemas di Pelabuhan Tanjung Emas Semarang serta apakah faktor-faktor seperti Box/Crane/Hour, Box/Ship/Hour, dan Berth Occupancy Ratio (BOR) mempengaruhi produktivitas tersebut. Tingkat pemanfaatan dermaga TPKS Semarang pada tahun 2021 memperoleh nilai rata-rata BOR sebesar 36% yang dikategorikan kurang dari nilai BOR yang disarankan sebesar 50% dengan jumlah tambatan 2. Pada Tahun 2022 memperoleh nilai rata- rata BOR sebesar 52% dikategorikan baik tetapi menurut nilai BOR yang disarankan dengan jumlah tambatan 2 belum memenuhi standar nilai BOR yang disarankan. Pada tahun 2023 memperoleh nilai rata-rata BOR sebesar 56% dikategorikan baik dan memenuhi standar nilai BOR yang disarankan. Nilai rata-rata Box/Crane/Hour pada Tahun 2021 sebesar 38,98 Box/Crane/Hour; pada Tahun 2022 sebanyak 79,18 Box/Crane/Hour; pada Tahun 2023 sebesar 60,22 Box/Crane/Hour. Nilai rata-rata Box/Ship/Hour pada Tahun 2021 sebesar 12,59 Box/Ship/Hour; pada Tahun 2022 sebanyak 29,10 Box/Ship/Hour; pada Tahun 2023 sebesar 19,28 Box/Ship/Hour.

Abstract

Pelabuhan Tanjung Emas Semarang, sebagai pelabuhan utama di Provinsi Jawa Tengah, berperan penting dalam mendukung ekonomi regional dan nasional. Dikelola oleh PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia III sejak tahun 1985, pelabuhan ini melayani berbagai aktivitas bongkar muat barang dan penumpang serta berfungsi sebagai titik strategis dalam distribusi dan perdagangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kinerja pelayanan kapal di Pelabuhan Tanjung Emas selama tahun 2023 dengan fokus pada tiga indikator utama: Arrival Rate, Service Time, dan Berth Occupancy Ratio (BOR). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Arrival Rate rata-rata sebesar 3 kapal per hari, yang menandakan potensi kemacetan dermaga jika kapasitas tidak memadai. Service Time rata-rata sebesar 9,6 jam memerlukan perhatian khusus karena fluktuasi waktu pelayanan, yang bervariasi antara 7,7 hingga 13,4 jam per kapal, dapat menyebabkan penundaan dan penumpukan. BOR rata-rata yang berada di angka 56% menunjukkan adanya kapasitas dermaga yang dapat dioptimalkan. Berdasarkan temuan ini, saran untuk meningkatkan kinerja pelayanan kapal meliputi perencanaan kapasitas yang lebih baik, penyesuaian proses pelayanan untuk mengurangi fluktuasi waktu pelayanan, dan pengelolaan BOR yang lebih efektif. Langkah-langkah ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi operasional pelabuhan, mengurangi penundaan, dan mempersiapkan pelabuhan untuk menghadapi tantangan di masa depan.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate passenger terminal service facilities at Tanjung Emas Port, Semarang, using the SWOT Analysis method (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats). This evaluation aims to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats faced by passenger terminals in providing optimal service to users. The results of the analysis show that the main strength lies in adequate infrastructure and security systems, such as effective CCTV. However, weaknesses related to emergency response facilities and limitations in the dissemination of cargo policies need to be improved. Opportunities to improve service quality can be realized through the use of modern technology, while the biggest threats arise from increased passenger volumes and regulatory changes. Recommendations include improving emergency response facilities, utilizing CCTV for real-time monitoring, and providing better transportation facilities for passengers. The implementation of this strategy is expected to be able to improve the quality of passenger terminal services in the future.

Abstract

More than 90% of the coal produced in Indonesia comes from Kalimantan, the country's coal production hub. Only about 51% of national coal reserves are found in Kalimantan; other regions of the country, particularly Sumatra, have significant coal reserves. Coal and other mineral resources in large quantities, including petroleum, are stored underground in the interior of the earth. This study is expected to see and learn about several variables of Waiting Time, Loading and Unloading Productivity and Ship Scheduling and whether it affects Cycle time at PT. Nusa Bahari Skyline. The population of this study is Clients who use the services of PT. Cakrawala Nusa Bahari with a sample of 100 respondents with sampling techniques Non probability sampling type of incidental sampling by distributing questionnaires and the data obtained are processed using quantitative analysis using SPSS software. The study found that waiting time had a good and large influence on cycle time. The results of multiple linear regression equations prove that ship scheduling has a positive and large effect on cycle time (table values of 2.641 > 1.98472). The results of multiple linear regression equations prove that loading and unloading bring benefits and are great for cycle time (calculated value of 2.777 > table value of 1.98472).
