Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of asset structure, liquidity, and firm size on the capital structure at PT. Medan Industrial Area 2014-2017 period. On the independent variables used in this study are the structure of liquidity assets, and company size while the dependent variable is the capital structure. The population used in this study is to take financial statements that exist in the structure of assets, liquidity, company size, and capital structure at PT. Medan Industrial Estate which amounts to 4 years of monthly financial statements. The sample of this study was taken using saturated sampling obtained as many as 48 samples. This study uses a quantitative research approach, a type of descriptive research, the nature of research on causal relationships. Data collection techniques with documentation techniques and data analysis using multiple linear regression analysis using simultaneous tests (F-Test) and partial tests (t-test) on the level table significant at 0.05. The results of this study show partially the structure of assets, liquidity, and company size partially have a positive and significant effect. Simultaneously the structure of assets, liquidity, and size of the company has an effect on and significant to the capital structure. The Adjusted R Square test results show 71% of the variation of the dependent variable capital structure which can be explained by the structure of assets, liquidity and size of the company while the remaining 29% is explained by other variables not explained in the study such as accounts receivable turnover, inventory turnover and total assets turnover.

Abstract

The process of learning Indonesian in grade IV on the exchange or payment material still faces several challenges that hinder the effectiveness of learning. Low student grades are caused by the lack of active participation in learning, which is exacerbated by the use of conventional methods that tend to be boring. The lack of diversity of learning resources and the use of technology in learning also makes the material less interesting and difficult for students to understand. To improve the quality of learning, it is necessary to make changes to the teaching method and the use of more innovative and technology-based learning media such as the development of digital comic media assisted by Canva. This research method is development (Research and Development) with a 4D model which is an extension of Define, Design, Development and Dissemination. The instruments used in this study were questionnaires, test questions and documentation. The validity of digital comic media from input from material experts, namely lecturers, got a score of 96% out of 10 statements. The validity of digital comic media from input from media experts, namely lecturers, got a score of 96% out of 9 statements. The practicality of digital comic media based on teacher responses got a score of 96% out of 10 statements. The effectiveness of comic media based on student responses scored 80% out of 15 questions consisting of 9 students. From the validation data, practicality and effectiveness, the development of digital comic media assisted by Canva in learning Indonesian language material on exchanging or paying for grade IV elementary school students is declared Valid to be used as teaching materials in the learning process.
