Abstract

Finding out whether the Village Fund in Oyah Kiri Village encourages community empowerment and impacts the development of village infrastructure is the goal of this study. Interviews, participant observation, document analysis, and literature reviews are all part of the data gathering process in this qualitative descriptive research. The findings indicate that Oyah Kiri Village covers an area of 2,960 hectares, characterized by hilly terrain, highlands, rivers, and wetlands that serve as agricultural land. The climate in Oyah Kiri is tropical. Most residents engage in farming, fishing, and various jobs. The village has a population of 833 individuals, consisting of 187 family units (KK), divided into six Neighborhood Associations (RT). The demographic breakdown shows 406 males and 427 females, with religious affiliations comprising 179 Muslims, 211 Christians, and 443 Catholics. Abstract

The textile industry still has serious problems in managing waste disposal that causes environmental pollution, including the batik factory industry. Many studies have been conducted to overcome ecological damage by reducing the levels of dyes contained in textile industry waste. Apart from textile industry waste, household waste, especially egg shells, is very high. One alternative method for processing batik factory liquid waste is by adsorption using biosorbent, which is considered cheaper and easier to obtain. An example of a biosorbent is an eggshell. This study includes the characterization of eggshells activated by NaOH and HCl for Indigosol Blue adsorption, morphological analysis of eggshells with SEM and EDS, wavelength determination, calibration curve, and adsorption capacity. The morphology of the eggshell shows a porous surface with high levels of calcium, oxygen, and carbon, indicating that the main compound forming the eggshell is CaCO3. The determination of maximum wavelength and adsorption capacity is done using the UV-Vis spectrophotometry method. The maximum wavelength is 530 nanometers, and an R2 value of 0.9596 was obtained from the regression curve equation. Characterization according to SNI eggshell before activation water content: 0.34%, ash content: 0.25%, iodine absorption: 326.552mg/gram and after activation with NaOH water content is 1.34%, ash content: 0.39%, iodine absorption: 403.015mg/gram. The optimal concentration of processed egg shells for indigosol blue adsorbent is 2% egg shells, the largest in this study as an adsorbent. It turns out that adsorption is still ongoing. The optimum type of activator for Indigosol Blue absorption is 100Mesh dry eggshell powder from NaOH activation.

Abstract

Deviant sexual orientation, particularly same-sex attraction, is a complex issue that often results from various internal and external factors. This research formulates several key issues: what is the form of deviant sexual orientation in the subject, what factors cause this deviant sexual orientation, and how can Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) be applied to address it? This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, focusing on a subject, referred to as "client 'R'," who is an inmate at the Class II A Palembang Women's Prison. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis involves pattern matching, explanation, and time series analysis. The findings indicate that client 'R' exhibits deviant sexual orientation, specifically a lesbian attraction to other women. The factors contributing to this behavior include environmental influences such as the absence of men in the prison and the lack of private spaces for inmates to fulfill their sexual needs with lawful partners. After five counseling sessions using REBT, client 'R' began to recognize that her behavior was against her natural inclinations as a Muslim and that it was strongly opposed by religious beliefs. Additionally, she became aware of the negative consequences, including the potential alienation from her family and exposure to health risks like HIV/AIDS. As a result, client 'R' showed a willingness to change her irrational (lesbian) mindset into a more rational one, guided by her values and understanding of the consequences.

Abstract

This study aims to find out EFAS and IFAS as well as the marketing strategy of siamese oranges in Melati II Village, Perbaungan District. The data analysis in this study is a descriptive analysis and a SWOT analysis. The location of this research was chosen deliberately (purposive), this research was carried out in Melati II Village, Perbaungan District.Using the Snowball Sampling method for farmers and marketing institutions, the simple random sampling method for consumer samples. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the marketing strategy of chayote is an aggressive development strategy by utilizing the existing strategies of strength and opportunity. Business owners can take advantage of the combination of these two strategies, namely maintaining the quality of Siamese oranges during religious holidays (S1,O1), selling fruits directly to consumers during religious holidays (S3,O1), and retaining customers by providing discounts and good relations with stakeholders (S4,O3,S5) and being able to overcome existing weaknesses and threats, namely increasing promotions so that they can compete with other Siamese orange businesses (W1, T1). Abstract

This study aims to assess the effect of project-based learning on making terrariums (mini ecosystems) on students' critical thinking skills in ecosystem material for grade X. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design method with a pretest-posttest control group design type. The research subjects were grade X students of MAS Al-Washliyah 26 Tinokkah consisting of 25 people in the experimental class and 23 people in the control class. The research instrument was an essay test consisting of 5 questions to measure critical thinking skills that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality tests, homogeneity tests, and independent sample t-tests with the help of the SPSS program version 26.0. The results showed that the average posttest score of the experimental class (81.60) was higher than that of the control class (60.43). The t-test proved a significant difference between the two classes (p < 0.05), thus it can be concluded that the terrarium-making project-based learning model has a positive effect on improving the critical thinking skills of class X students at MAS Al-Washliyah 26 Tinokkah. This finding proves that the Project Based Learning (PJBL) model has a positive effect on improving the critical thinking skills of class X students at MAS Al-Washliyah 26 Tinokkah.
