Abstract

Based on data from the West Sumatra energy and mineral resources service, it is stated that Limapuluh Kota Regency has the potential for rocks (andesite, granite, limestone, marble) and metallic minerals (gold and lead). This huge natural potential requires good management so that it can develop and requires potential human resources as well. This is the background for socializing opportunities and potential job opportunities in Limapuluh Kota Regency. The socialization explains what potential mining resources exist in Limapuluh Kota Regency along with the job opportunities that exist in managing these resources. The target of this socialization is to open the minds of high school students in terms of the natural potential that their region has and to open up the students' insight in choosing the science they will study in college, so that as sons/daughters of the region they can contribute to the management and development of their region.

Abstract

The results of observations of acid mine water in KUD Sinamar Sakato is known by the presence of water in the settling pond has a pH of 5.2 besides that there is also the presence of brownish turbid wastewater. The purpose of the study was to analyze the quality of acid mine water after the addition of a mixed dose of alum and quicklime, analyze the amount of dose requirement of the mixture of alum and quicklime and the costs required to neutralize the acid mine water. The primary data needed are the pH of the water, the value of TDS. The quality of acid mine water after the addition of a dose of a mixture of alum and quicklime to the KUD Sinamar Sakato has met environmental quality standards for pH and TSS with a mixed dose of 0.25 g/l of quicklime plus 0.5 g/l of alum. The amount of need to neutralize acid mine water for field-scale doses required of alum mixture as much as 79.92 kg d an increase of 399.6 kg of quicklime per day. The cost required in neutralizing acid mine water with a mixed dose of alum and quicklime for 1 day for a total of Rp 4,075,920.

Abstract

Recently, businesses in the handicraft sector have been very popular with the people of Batam City. The hand craft business produces handicraft items such as plaques, name plates, acrylic house numbers, acrylic motorbike plates, acrylic boxes and others. Rusya's hand craft business already has regular customers, consumers who come from Batam City and outside Batam City. From the research results for the tangible dimension of the quality satisfaction category, the value is positive, for the reliability dimension there is 1 attribute that has a negative value, namely statement number 5 with a value of -0.16. For the responsiveness dimension, there is 1 attribute that is not satisfied with a value of -0.1, namely statement number 9, namely speed and toughness in handling consumer complaints. For the empathy dimension, namely number 15, namely the employee attribute section that cares about consumer desires when ordering products, it has a value of -0.1. Solutions that need to be improved by providing services in accordance with what has been agreed upon, providing targets for employees, providing professional workers in accordance with their fields

Abstract

Insufficient sanitation in densely populated residential areas in Berok Nipah Village, especially the Muaro settlement, which is directly adjacent to the river estuary and beach, results in this area often having problems in the form of tidal floods that always carry debris into the village. A lack of land causes people to settle in areas adjacent to rivers and beaches. This activity aims to provide new understanding and information to the community regarding green technology and tidal flood prevention education to communities affected by tidal floods in residential areas. Education about tidal floods in the form of counseling, socialization, and discussion about green technology (rainwater harvesting, bipolar holes, and rain gardens) to the community as a form of activity to prevent natural disasters in the form of tidal floods in Berok Nipah Village. The existence of this educational activity allows the community to apply environmentally friendly technologies such as rainwater harvesting, bipolar holes, and rain gardens to prevent and reduce the impact of tidal flooding in the Berok Nipah Village community settlements.

Abstract

Acid mine water management can be carried out by active treatment and passive treatment. Acid mine water management in PT. Bara Prima Pratama is carried out with an active method by liming. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the composition of a mixture of fly ash and quicklime as much as 0.30 grams on the pH and TSS parameters of acid mine water. The neutralization process is carried out on a laboratory scale using experimental methods with the addition of fly ash coagulant and quicklime in 9 test variations. Significant pH changes with an initial pH of 3.3 occurred at dose variations of 10:90 (1st try, pH 8.1), 20:80 (2nd try, pH 7.9) and 30:70 (3rd try, pH 7.6). This shows that to neutralize the pH requires a greater dose of quicklime in the composition of the mixture (quicklime can increase the pH value quickly). Furthermore, TSS testing was also carried out 9 times with an initial TSS value of 123 mg/L. After neutralization was obtained, the TSS value continued to increase in proportion to the composition carried out (test 9, TSS value 219 mg/L) but still met environmental quality standards with a threshold value of 400 mg/L. This shows that the use of fly ash and quicklime does not have a major effect on TSS changes.

Abstract

Sunshine Duration (SD) has an important role in climate change or the weather on the earth. Climate change can be indicated by changing SD values ​​(dimming/brightening) in recent decades. SD and diurnal temperature range (DTR) analysis needs to be done to find out how significant the impact of climate change. The daily dataset from 1981-2019 of SD, DTR, Tmean, Tmax, Tmin, and rainfall in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, is analyzed with Continuous Wavelet Transform (CWT) and wavelet coherence (WTC). Results of CWT using the Morlet wavelet SD have a dominant period of 8-16 months. DTR has a dominant period of 8-16 months and 32-64 months. The increase in SD indicates that Pontianak is in a brightening period caused by changes in the characteristics of clouds and aerosols. It causes an increase in the amount of solar energy reaching the earth's surface. Climate change has been detected by the decrease in DTR. A negative correlation was found between DTR and SD (r = -0.80). DTR is a very good indicator of climate change because of its sensitivity to radiative energy balance. Changes in SD have a significant impact on Tmean, Tmax, and Tmin. The increase of Tmin, faster than Tmax, causes a decrease in DTR. Tmin is predicted to be higher. Tmean and Tmax have dominant periods of 8-16 months, while Tmin has dominant periods of 12-20 months and 32-64 months. The increase in temperature detected during this period is associated with peatland forest fires in Kalimantan. This condition occurs due to the effect of the brightening period and increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Rainfall is detected in the period of 4-8 months and 8-16 months. The drought associated with the El Nino event resulted in a large amount of rainfall deviation from normal.

Abstract

Pada tahun 2023 PT. Bintang Sukses Energi akan melakukan kegiatan penambangan pada Pit Pinang dengan target produksi sebesar 1.500.000 Bcm/bulan. Berdasarkan kajian secara teoritis produksi yang bisa dicapai hanya sebesar 1.242.054,00 Bcm/bulan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis kelayakan ekonomi investasi pengadaan alat gali-muat dan alat angkut dan sensitivitas investasi apabila terjadi perubahan parameter harga jual batubara terhadap keuntungan proyek yang didapatkan. Dari hasil penelitian, produktivitas alat gali muat PC-800 sebesar 376,38 Bcm/jam. Kebutuhan alat gali muat PC-800 adalah 6 alat gali muat karena alat yang tersedia saat ini ada 5 maka perlu dilakukan penambahan 1 alat gali muat PC-800. Produktivitas alat angkut Terex-50D sebesar 67,5 Bcm/jam. Kebutuhan alat angkut Terex-50D adalah 34 alat angkut karena alat yang tersedia saat ini sebanyak 30 maka perlu dilakukan penambahan 4 alat angkut Terex-50D. Kelayakan investasi pengadaan alat berdasarkan Nilai Net Present Value (NPV) untuk pengadaan alat gali muat PC-800 adalah Rp 6.528.726.895,86 dan alat angkut Terex-50D sebesar Rp3.661.891.426,07 maka investasi layak dilakukan karena nilai NPV bernilai positif. Sedangkan lama waktu pengembalian modal untuk investasi alat gali muat PC-800 adalah 3,7 tahun dan alat angkut Terex-50D adalah 4 tahun investasi layak dilakukan karena waktu pengembalian modal lebih cepat dari pada umur kontrak kerja.

Abstract

Sungai Batang Palangki merupakan sungai yang terletak di Kecamatan IV Nagari di Kabupaten Sijunjung Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Di Sungai tersebut terdapat beberapa aktivitas penambangan emas yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat setempat. Setelah dilakukan pengamatan langsung, air sungai tersebut tampak keruh, begitupun juga dengan sumur-sumur warga yang berada dekat dengan aliran Sungai.  Data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini terdiri dari pH, TDS, EC, dan Hg pada 3 lokasi penelitian yaitu hulu sungai, tengah sungai, hilir sungai, sumur warga 1 dan sumur warga 2. Data yang telah didapatkan akan diolah dan disesuaikan dengan baku mutu lingkungan yang telah ditetapkan oleh Peraturan Pemerintah no. 22 tahun 2021 dan Kepmen LH no. 202 tahun 2004. Tujuan penelitian ini melakukan pemetaan sebaran kualitas air Sungai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebaran peta kualitas air sungai dan air sumur untuk setiap parameter telah memenuhi batas baku mutu perairan kecuali pada bagian tengah sungai dengan parameter konduktivitas listrik yang telah melampaui batas baku mutu perairan. Untuk kadar pH berkisar antara 6,4-7,2, kemudian untuk kadar Hg memiliki kadar yang rendah yaitu < 0,001 mg/l utuk semua titik sampel, selanjutnya untuk nilai TDS memiliki rentang nilai dari 33-159 mg/l, sedangkan untuk nilai konduktivitas listrik berkisar antara 64-318 µ/cm. Semua titik sampel telah memenuhi baku mutu, kecuali pada bagian tengah sungai telah melampaui baku mutu yaitu nilai konduktivitas listrik yang terlalu tinggi dengan nilai 318 µ/cm.

Abstract

Pengelolaan limbah pertambangan batubara merupakan aspek kritis untuk mencegah dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan, terutama pencemaran air. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk Mengevaluasi kualitas air limbah berdasarkan parameter pH, TSS, Mn, dan Fe, Menganalisis kapasitas Settling Pond dalam mengurangi potensi pencemaran, dan Memberikan rekomendasi untuk optimalisasi pengelolaan limbah pada PT. X. Metode penelitian menggabungkan studi literatur, survei lapangan, dan analisis kuantitatif terhadap parameter pH, TSS, Mn, dan Fe. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan limbah oleh Perusahaan X telah memenuhi standar Perda Kalimantan Timur No. 2 Tahun 2011, dengan nilai pH 8,02, TSS 3 mg/L, serta konsentrasi Fe dan Mn di bawah 0,02 mg/L. Namun, pemantauan rutin dan peningkatan kapasitas Settling Pond direkomendasikan untuk memastikan keberlanjutan. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya pengolahan limbah terstruktur dalam mitigasi dampak lingkungan pertambangan.

Abstract

Jalan mengalami kerusakan berupa amblesan/pergerakan tanah yang dilalui oleh truk pengangkut batubara dengan frekuensi kendaraan dan tonase beban truk yang  tinggi. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu menganalisis sifat fisik dan mekanik tanah, menganalisis tonase beban truk, dan mengidentifikasi penyebab terjadinya amblesan/pergerakan tanah. Metode yang digunakan yaitu undisturbed sampel dengan mengambil sampel tanah tak terganggu. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan dan analisis data didapatkan sifat fisik dan mekanik tanah km 139+000 dengan kadar air 31%, berat isi tanah 0,47 , berat jenis tanah 2,58 , dan uji geser langsung dengan nilai sudut geser dalam 22,72°. Lokasi Km 143+000 dengan kadar air 37%, berat isi tanah 0,47 ,, berat jenis tanah 2,59 ,, dan uji geser langsung dengan nilai sudut geser dalam yaitu 25,37°. Lokasi Km 143+400 dengan kadar air 49%, berat isi tanah 0,48 ,, berat jenis 2,65 ,, dan uji geser langsung dengan nilai sudut geser dalam 22,81°. Berdasarkan penggolongan tanah klasifikasi ASTM D km 139+000, km 143+000 dan km 143+400 termasuk kedalam jenis tanah lempung. Tonase truk batubara diperoleh sebesar 35.000 kg dengan nilai ground pressure alat angkut yaitu 781,45 kPa, yang nilainya lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan nilai daya dukung ijin tanah yaitu 96,82 kPa pada km 139+000, 135,43 kPa pada km 143+000 dan 128,04 kPa pada km 143+400. Oleh karena itu tanah dinyatakan tidak mampu menahan beban yang berada diatasnya sehingga penyebab terjadinya amblesan/pergerakan tanah dikarenakan daya dukung tanah yang rendah dan tonase beban truk yang tinggi.
