Abstract

There are still obstacles in the outsourcing service procurement system faced by PT. Kereta Api Logistik, especially in the procurement of goods and services, delays in completing documents, lack of documents uploaded by providers. Aims of this research are; to analyze the main root causes and factors for delays in completeness, documents and provider qualifications in the smooth process of procuring outsourcing services. Another objective is what actions or solutions are carried out by PT. Kereta Api Logistik in overcoming the smooth procurement of outsourcing services. The method used in this research is Pareto 80/20 and Fishbone analysis, by conducting interviews with nine employees and field research. The results of the study found several obstacles, namely selective differences in perceptions, lack of user calculations regarding budget requirements at the beginning of the year, because there was no socialization before procurement began to vendors who would be partners, lack of coordination between users and people in the charge of the area or area regarding requirement specifications in the field, and the document is not approved by the board of directors, it changes. From this research the next procurement system can be improved.

Abstract

Indonesia faces disproportionately high logistics costs compared to regional and global peers. This study applies Saving Matrix and Nearest Neighbor algorithms to optimize delivery routes at PT Harapan Jaya Multi Bisnis in Makassar, a key logistics hub in Eastern Indonesia. Using operational data from 2022–2023, the research consolidated 12 delivery routes into 5 optimized routes. The optimization reduced the total delivery distance from 2,772 km to 1,967 km, saving 805 km (29%), and lowered distribution costs by approximately Rp 3.5 million every five working days, resulting in a 70% increase in cost efficiency. These findings highlight the practical benefits of heuristic algorithms in addressing urban logistics inefficiencies under infrastructure constraints. However, the study is limited by reliance on company operational records and does not account for external variables such as fuel price fluctuations or seasonal demand surges. The results provide a replicable framework for logistics firms and policymakers seeking data-driven strategies to reduce logistics costs in Indonesia.

Abstract

Awareness of motorcycle driving safety entails monitoring your own and other drivers' conditions in traffic. Counseling and socialization of five motorcycle riding behaviors is needed to promote safety. The implementation of this socialization was in 3 (three) schools with different locations. The socialization method uses soft skills and hard skills methods, namely providing theory and tutorials, independent practice, discussion and question-and-answer. The activity was carried out for 3 (three) days, so that the total was 24 hours. The findings of this service activity show an increase in understanding and awareness of the importance of applying theory and tutorials in driving. The increase is known based on the results of the pre-test and post-test of participants. The implementation of this community service program is expected to reduce the rate of accidents in driving. In addition, students can volunteer and conduct education regularly and continuously in each generation.
