Abstract

Learning style learning style is the best way used by students in learning to receive, absorb and process information received. This study aims to describe the characteristics of student learning styles which consist of the characteristics of the learning style of 4MAT System. The 4MAT System learning style developed by Bernice McCarthy proclaims four learning models namely; analytic learning, imaginative learning, common sense learning and dynamic learning. This study uses quantitative research methods with a type of descriptive research. With the research subject were students of the Christian Education Study Program at STT Kristus Alfa Omega, Semarang, which numbered 41 people. The technique of collecting data is done through questionnaires or questionnaires. The results showed the level of implementation of the 4MAT System learning style by the Christian Religious Education Study Program at the STT Kristus Alfa Omega, Semarang in the 2017/2018 academic year with a value of 77,177% which was at a high percentage, between (61-80).

Abstract

The use of method in the learning process is something which can support the success of that learning process. The use of teaching method should be appropriate with the material,  the learning purpose which is wanted to be achieved. It should also observe the learning style and the various intelligence of each students. The use of SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, Intellectual) Method is very helpful because in the learning process, teacher will invoked and activate all of the human senses of the students. Therefore, the students will be motivated or enthusiastic during the learning process. The students’ learning motivation determines the achievement of the learning process purpose maximally. The result of this research  are: the first and the second hypothesis are proved because the Lower Bound and the Upper Bound values are in the medium category. The third hypothesis is rejected because the coefficient correlation value is 0.380 which is in the low category. The coefficient determination value which shows the contribution of X variable to Y variable is only 0.145 or 14.5% while the rest value which is 0.855 or 85.5%, comes from other research.  The similarity of the simple linier line is Y = 70.654 + 0.256X

Abstract

Pembentukan karakter seorang anak tidak dapat dipisahkan dari keterlibatan atau peran orang tua di dalam keluarga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tentang pengaruh peran orang tua terhadap kualitas karakter anak Sekolah Minggu. Untuk menjawab tujuan tersebut, peneliti menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai koefisien korelasi yang diperoleh sebesar 0,619 atau 61,9% berada pada kategori kuat. Sedangkan nilai persentase tingkat peran orang tua terhadap perubahan kualitas karakter anak adalah sebesar 86,7% (sangat tinggi). Hal ini membuktikan bahwa kualitas karakter anak kuat dipengaruhi oleh peran orang tua dalam mendidik anak baik melalui keteladanan hidup maupun pengajaran yang berpusat pada kebenaran firman Tuhan. Terbentuknya karakter positif anak, faktor peran orang tua dalam mendidik anak di dalam keluarga tetaplah faktor menjadi faktor yang dominan dan tidak dapat disepelekan.

Abstract

The study aims to explore the relationship between the role of the Christian Teacher of Education (PAK) according to Titus 2:6-8 and the character development of high school students in the Loa Janan Ilir region for the academic year 2023/2024. Using the method of correlation analysis, the findings showed a positive correlationship between the role of PAK teacher and student character development, even though the correspondence was low with a Pearson correlative coefficient of 0.249. The results of the analysis also indicated that only a small part of the variability in student character development can be attributed to the role of PAK teacher, with a determination coefficient (ry2) of 6.2%. The study also highlighted that the majority of variabilities in the character development of students (93.8%) are influenced by factors outside the scope of the study. However, the level of significance of the correlation factor found (0.05) indicates that there is a statistically significant relationship between the teacher's role and the student's character development. Thus, the study provides important insights into the role of PAK Teachers in shaping the character of high school students, while emphasizing the importance of considering other external factors that contribute to student character development

Abstract

The background of this dissertation is the implementation of four learning styles by the students of Sekolah Tinggi Kristus Alfa Omega Semarang. In the synoptic gospels, these four learning styles were used when peoples learned or listened Jesus’ teaching. Based on these learning styles of Jesus’ disciples, the researchers want to found if these four learning styles (imaginative learning, analytic learning, common sense learning and dynamic learning) are also implemented by the students of Sekolah Tinggi Kristus Alfa Omega Semarang. The different backgrounds of these students like age, gender, faculty and the amount of their brothers or sisters supposed to have impact on the implementation of these four learning styles. The research used descriptive quantitative method. This research found that the implementation of these four learning styles is on the average level (327,8502-337,1853). The most dominant dimension is Common Sense Learning (Rxy = 0,861 or 86,1%). The background most influencing the four learning styles is the educational background of the parents (F = 82,137). According to these results the Researcher suggests following implication: the implementation of four learning styles must be stressed in the Sekolah Tinggi Kristus Alfa Omega Semarang. The students must master the implementation of Common Sense Learning when they are on learning. Parents must elevate the level of their educational backgrounds. Disertasi ini mulai dengan paparan mengenai latar belakang Implementasi empat gaya belajar di kalangan mahasiswa Sekolah Tinggi Teologi (STT) kota Semarang. Dalam Injil Sinoptik terdapat beragam gaya belajar yang dimiliki oleh setiap orang yang sedang belajar atau mendengarkan pengajaran Tuhan Yesus. Berdasarkan gaya belajar para pendengar dan murid-murid Tuhan Yesus tersebut, peneliti ingin mengetahui apakah gaya belajar (imaginative learning, analytic learning, common sense learning dan dynamic learning) dalam Injil Sinoptik juga diterapkan oleh mahasiswa di kalangan Sekolah Tinggi Teologi (STT) kota Semarang. Latar belakang mahasiswa yang beragam seperti, usia, jenis kelamin, program studi, dan jumlah bersudara tentu akan mempengaruhi penerapan gaya empat belajar tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah tingkat implementasi empat gaya belajar berdasarkan Injil Sinoptik di kalangan mahasiwa Sekolah Tinggi Teologi (STT) Kota Semarang cenderung sedang (327,8502-337,1853). Dimensi yang paling dominan adalah dimensi Common Sense Learning dengan nilai Rxy = 0,861 atau 86,1%. Serta latar belakang yang mempengaruhi adalah latar belakang implementasi empat gaya belajar berdasarkan Injil Sinoptik di kalangan Mahasiwa Sekolah Tinggi Teologi (STT) Kota Semarang pendidikan orang tua dengan nilai F sebesar 82,137. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka implikasinya adalah implementasi empat gaya belajar berdasarkan Injil Sinoptik perlu terus ditingkatkan. Gaya belajar common sense learning perlu diterapkan oleh mahasiswa dalam proses belajarnya. Serta orag tua mahasiswa di Sekolah Tinggi Teologi (STT) Kota Semarang diharapkan terus meningkatkan mutu dan tingkat pendidikannya.
